183.Veritaserum

Jon had no intention of communicating with him at all.

In the magical world, there are many ways to get absolutely true information from a person's mouth, but most of these methods are not something he and Fred can master at this stage.

However, although the professors were separated from them, many useful things were still left in their offices.

Especially in Lily's office.

The cabinets she erected against the wall to store potions were filled to the brim, and each cabinet door was specially marked to indicate what the potions stored in it were and what the contents were.

What kind of effect.

Many of these are daily healing potions, which she obviously left behind on purpose to prevent students who were sailing alone on the voyage from getting sick and unable to brew potions to take care of themselves.

Among them, there are also some potions with special effects, and even banned drugs that the Ministry of Magic prohibits private production and sale.

When Jon got off the ship this time, he brought out a very useful bottle of banned medicine - Veritaserum.

It only takes three drops, and it will make the person who drinks it know everything and say anything. Generally, Aurors will use this potion for interrogation when dealing with extremely bad criminals.

Now such interrogation will fall on themselves.

With Fred assisting him, he grabbed McNeil's jaw and forced his mouth open.

A huge panic arose in the heart of this simple-minded temporary Auror. He resisted fiercely and kept shouting.

"You can't do this! I'm a half-blood! I'm protected by blood law! Even if I'm guilty, I can only be tried by the Wizengamot! You can't lynch me!"

But his resistance was meaningless. Jon held a small bottle above McNeil's mouth, then carefully tilted the bottle and poured three drops of Veritaserum into his mouth.

This potion is very precious and its quantity is not large, so Jon uses it very sparingly.

McNeil clearly felt that he was being fed something, but he had no ability to resist at all. Even if he kept coughing, he could not spit out the Veritaserum that had slipped into his esophagus.

It didn't take long for the medicine to take effect.

McNeil stopped resisting. His mouth was slightly open and he was panting. He looked like a student waiting to answer a question.

Jon and Fred looked at each other, then he raised the magic spell and put it against his throat, and asked in a voice that did not belong to him and seemed older and hoarse.

"May I have your name?"

"Walton McNeil..."

McNeil's voice was calm but the tone of his speech was a bit slurred, as if he was talking in his sleep, and he was completely different from the person who was shouting just now.

"How can I prove your identity?" Jon narrowed his eyes and continued to ask.

"The inside pocket...has my Auror identification plate..."

Fred reached out and groped around, and sure enough he found a metal piece in the inner pocket of his robe. Not only was McNeil's name engraved on it, but also his status in the Auror Command - "Temporary Recruitment of Aurors"

Luo".

Jon frowned slightly when he saw this line of text.

"What is a temporary call for Aurors?"

"The Auror Command... has been severely short of manpower recently. They forced me here... gave me temporary Auror status and let me work for them..."

"Why is there a shortage of people in the Auror Command? What are the other Aurors doing?"

"I...don't know...Nott knows, but he doesn't want to tell me..."

"Who is Nott?"

"Nott Scabior...the full-time Auror stationed with me in Azkaban..."

Jon's frown deepened.

"Are you two the only ones on this island now?"

"Yes......"

"Do you usually communicate with the dementors in the castle?"

"Communication...is all handled by Nott..."

"What method did he use? Can you do it?"

"I...just came here...won't..."

Fred kicked him angrily from the side.

"Then what's the use of catching you!"

"I have no idea......"

Jon pulled him. Although his brows were still frowning, he was obviously much calmer than Fred.

"Don't worry, we have to deal with the two Aurors on this island first, otherwise we won't be able to enter the castle with peace of mind. Since the information we need is all on the Auror named Nott, then we

We’ll go find him later. Before that, let’s ask everything we can from this person.”

Fred took back his foot angrily, while Jon looked at McNeil and continued to ask questions.

"How long have you been on this island? How long will it take for someone to come over again?"

"We...came here five days ago...it will take a month before anyone comes again..."

"What is this cabin used for? Why are you here?"

"Ministry of Magic personnel are on and off the island... are also responsible for the operation of Muggle banishing spells and confusion spells around the prison... Nott asked me to check whether the magic is functioning properly...

..”

"Is that Nott always protected by the Iron Armor Curse?"

"I have no idea......"

"How is his strength?"

"have no idea......"

"Why don't you know anything?"

"He...doesn't trust me..."

"How long does it usually take for you to come in for a checkup?"

"five minutes......"

Jon ended his inquiry and stood up from the ground, his eyes full of thinking.

"The key lies in this wizard named Nott." He said to Fred, "This Auror named MacNeill is just a temporary worker. This is probably why it is so easy for us to sneak attack on him. He has no

What kind of professional Auror training have you experienced? Another person is now the main person in charge of this prison."

Fred nodded.

"Nick is still staring at him, shall we go back first?"

"Go back now. We have almost been delayed for more than five minutes. If we delay any longer, it might arouse his alertness."

"What should I do with this person?"

Jon looked at McNeil and raised his wand.

"Fainted."

McNeil tilted his head and completely lost consciousness.

"You give him another stun spell and leave him here first until we have completed our purpose on this island."

Then Fred also added a stun spell to ensure that he slept long enough, and then the two of them put on the invisibility cloak again and started to return along the original route.

When they approached the building, they already saw Nick hiding on the edge of the wall.

Nick also saw them and floated over silently.

"How's it going over there?"

"It's been resolved, but the Auror in the house is the most important thing now."
