270. New Transfiguration Professor

"As you can see, Durmstrang will welcome a new group of guests tonight."

Without any extra courtesy, Grindelwald directly started the main topic of the evening.

"These are students from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry led by Dumbledore. Their professors are fighting on the French front to safeguard the justice of all wizards. For the sake of safety, they are temporarily allowed to stay with us."

"I hope you can get along with the guests in a polite and friendly manner. After all, Durmstrang is training a group of excellent wizards, not a group of uncivilized barbarians."

The volume when he spoke was very high, enough for the entire auditorium to hear his voice even without the use of amplifying spells.

Durmstrang's students obviously pay attention to rules. When their principal is speaking, no one dares to whisper below. Everyone is sitting upright, even the youngest first-year students are standing straight. This is different from

Hogwarts showed a huge difference.

"It's time to start dinner."

Jon breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that he was not going to announce his appointment as Transfiguration Professor directly in front of the entire auditorium.

If it was really announced in such a public place, then Jon really didn't know what to do. Anyway, he couldn't be allowed to reject Grindelwald in public without giving him any face.

I guess there was no need to wait for Grindelwald to get angry. More than half of the row of professors sitting on the high platform would have to stand up and shine green lights at him.

After Grindelwald's words fell, all kinds of delicacies suddenly appeared on the tabletop of every long table.

As if to take care of Jon and the others, on the table where the Hogwarts students were sitting, there were a lot of British specialty "delicacies" that were obviously fish and chips.

However, the students at Hogwarts have no intention of touching the delicacies of their hometown, but only go to get some food such as Munich sausages and German-style roasted pork knuckles.

After the meal started, the atmosphere in the auditorium obviously relaxed a lot, and some bold Durmstrang students even came to the long table in Hogwarts.

"Hello, my name is Diane Rozier."

The girl with blond hair, tall figure, who looked about the same age as George and Fred introduced herself.

She speaks fluent English and behaves very politely. When you hear her surname Rozier, you can actually tell that she should have a blood relationship with the vice principal of this school and that she is French.

"Can I sit here?"

She looked at Lee Jordan next to the empty seat. Lee was eating half of the pork knuckle that he had just snatched from George in an ungentlemanly manner. Although they were not short of food on the Hogwarts, they were not short of food either.

The food is so good. A feast like tonight's is usually only available at Christmas dinner.

"Oh, of course, please do."

At this time, Li Cai slightly diverted his attention from the pig's knuckle. Seeing that the person coming was a beautiful girl, his movements became gentle again. He coughed twice and wiped the shiny oil with a napkin on the side.

corner of mouth.

It wasn't that Li fell in love with this girl, but they were visiting Durmstrang after all, and they had to pay attention to the dignity of Hogwarts students in other schools.

Around where Diane sat, there were Lee, George, Fred, and several other fifth-grade students.

She obviously chose this place intentionally. In her eyes, since these Hogwarts students are not led by professors, the leaders among them must be among the senior students.

This Durmstrang girl didn't have any special intentions, she was just curious about Jon and the other Hogwarts students.

Not only her, but actually most of Durmstrang's students are curious about these students who have been in exile.

They have more or less seen some news from the UK over the years. In the newspapers, the Hogwarts carriage is naturally a wanted criminal wanted by the Ministry of Magic, and has been being hunted down.

Compared with the students at Hogwarts who longed for a comfortable campus life, the students at Durmstrang wanted to hear stories of adventures on the run from them.

It's just that this is a magic school in Northern Europe. There are only a few students who can speak English, and there are even fewer students with outgoing personalities who are willing to come and communicate tonight.

Diane is the only one. She comes from a French pure-blood family. Due to her family background, she is proficient in English, French and German. She is also the sixth-grade female prefect at Durmstrang School and has no problems with her language and personality.

He became the first person to come into contact with Hogwarts students.

"How did you come to Durmstrang? Did Mr. Principal bring you here from France?"

As soon as she sat down, she asked enthusiastically.

George shrugged and said.

"No, we set out from the UK before Halloween last year and sailed along the North Sea to the Norwegian Sea for almost three or four months, and then we were picked up here today by the professors from Durmstrang."

Regarding their itinerary, it's not a secret that needs to be kept secret.

Long before the dinner started, George and the others had a conversation with Jon and made it clear what things could be said and what things should be reserved. Unless others specifically asked, they should not disclose it easily.

"North Sea to Norwegian Sea? Did you come by boat?" Diane continued to ask.

"Yes, during this period we stayed on the boat the whole time and didn't go anywhere."

As Fred said this, he pushed a grilled fish away in disgust. Because many fishing competitions were held and the trophies went into everyone's stomach, now basically every student in Hogwarts has a short time.

I guess I have no interest in food like fish and shrimp anymore.

"Stop complaining. At least when we were in the North Sea, you and Jon got off the ship and went to Azkaban Island for a walk. We stayed on the ship the whole time and never went down there."

A senior girl named Araya complained.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! Hearing her words, Fred's face began to light up.

"Hey, don't say that, there's really nothing to see in that prison island. But you know, the battle on it was very exciting. I killed two British Aurors! I also broke into Azkaban Prison, and

Confrontation with those Dementors!”

He was obviously showing off to Diane, who had just sat here, and he was not disappointed. Diane actually showed a look of surprise and interest.

"You killed two Aurors by yourself? Can you also defeat the dementors?"

Fred got what he wanted. He coughed lightly and waved his hand pretending not to care.

"You can't just call someone. There's a third-year student beside you who helps a lot."

As he spoke, he kept winking at George, Li and the others. The fifth-grade students all suppressed their laughter. Fred actually didn't lie. The third-grade student did contribute the most.

But Diane didn't understand the inside story. A three-year student at Durmstrang had only just learned the coma spell and general uncurse spell. It would be good if she didn't hold back when facing Aurors, so she just thought

Fred is being humble.

Just when she looked at Fred with a look of admiration, thinking that he was the leader of the students at Hogwarts, a childish voice mercilessly exposed Fred's disguise.

"Liar! Nick told me that those two people were uniformed by Jon, and you were just there to help cover them!"

As a ghost, Gabrielle naturally had no way to enjoy tonight's feast. She had not tasted human food for a long time and floated sadly on the table for a long time. After being comforted by Jon, she saw George and the others.

After a Durmstrang student sat down, he came over curiously.

Then she heard some "bold words" from Fred. Of course, the righteous Gabriel would not let anyone take advantage of Jon's achievements.

Fred spread his hands helplessly.

"I'm not lying. Didn't you listen to me? I specifically said that Jon contributed the most."

Gabrielle crossed her arms in front of her and looked at Fred with suspicion. Although she was not old, she was not a little girl who could be easily deceived.

Diane was a little confused and did not understand the conversation between them. Normal people would not think about a third-year student defeating two Aurors.

"Jon is that...third grader?"

"Hey, we usually don't think of him as a third-year student. He is our captain, Captain Green."

Fred said with a smile.

The joke just now was purely a relapse of his nature, and he had no intention of coveting Jon's achievements.

He pointed towards Jon, who was cutting up a piece of steak on a plate not far away, frowning and thinking about how to refuse Grindelwald's invitation.

"Did you see it? It's him."

Jon's appearance is outstanding. He is handsome, with soft but tough features. However, it is because of his outstanding appearance that he gives people the impression that he can rely on his face to make a living, and his magic talent is just so-so.

The most important thing is that he is only fourteen years old this year. At this time, he is considered a teenager at best. Among all the students in Hogwarts, he is not particularly eye-catching.

Jon didn't care what Fred and the others were doing, and he wasn't too relaxed because Grindelwald didn't announce his appointment as Professor of Transfiguration before the dinner began.

Even though it was the first time they met today, Jon had always known that Grindelwald was not as easy to get along with as a wizard like Dumbledore.

Although he was not crazy to the level of Voldemort, he was once known as evil and had a complete disregard for the lives of the weak and worthless people.

Jon, who was arguing with him, also knew very well that even if Grindelwald had some appreciation for him, he was not qualified to refuse the request now, not to mention that the matter itself was still good for him.

And just as the dinner was coming to an end, Grindelwald, who was sitting in the main seat, clapped his hands, and the entire auditorium fell silent instantly.

"It's getting late, everyone, before we end this dinner today, I have one last thing to announce."

His calm voice spread to every corner of the auditorium, and at this time, Jon also had an unpleasant premonition in his heart.

"In addition to welcoming Hogwarts students to Durmstrang tonight, Professor Spence Johnson is under too much pressure at work, so I have found a new Transfiguration professor for him.

Share his pressure. Jon Green, starting from tomorrow, he will become the new Professor of Transfiguration. I will make specific arrangements for which grades of courses he will be responsible for."

After hearing Grindelwald's words, although Durmstrang's students in the auditorium all showed puzzled expressions and didn't understand why a new Transfiguration professor should be found for them at this time, nothing big happened.

There was a commotion, but everyone was looking around to find who the professor named "Jon Green" was.

In the professor's seat on the high platform, these professors, including Johnson, who was assigned a position, all looked a little strange but not surprised. It was obvious that they had known the news in advance at the dinner just now.

On the long table at Hogwarts, the students at Hogwarts looked confused. What Grindelwald said when he announced just now was not in English. They didn't understand what it meant. They could only sit on this long table.

The Durmstrang girl at the table looked at Jon in disbelief.

Jon had a headache, and he couldn't understand Grindelwald's words, but that didn't mean he couldn't guess what the old man announced. He rubbed his temples, knowing that he couldn't escape today no matter what.

"Why don't you stand up and get to know everyone? Mr. Green."

Grindelwald looked in the direction of the long table in Hogwarts, and this time he spoke in English.

Following his gaze, the eyes of all the students in the entire auditorium also gathered. However, after seeing these students from Hogwarts, they became even more confused because there were no adult wizards sitting at this long table.

After noticing the gazes gathered around them and what Grindelwald said to Jon, the students at Hogwarts finally guessed that what happened in the auditorium had something to do with Jon. They all looked at Jon blankly, except for Hercules.

Except for Min, no one understands why Grindelwald mentioned his name in public.

Under the spotlight, Jon sighed and relaxed. He stood up from the chair with a slumped expression and looked at Grindelwald with a slumped face.

"Is it really impossible to discuss this matter with Professor Dumbledore before making a decision?"

Grindelwald actually showed an unnoticed smile at this time.

"Of course I will inform him. With the relationship I have had with him for so many years, will I steal his students?"

All the students in the auditorium, whether from Durmstrang or Hogwarts, all looked at each other, some of them not understanding the conversation between the two.

Don’t you have any idea whether you are snatching it now or not?

Jon secretly rolled his eyes in his heart and couldn't help but lament.

Professor Dumbledore, if you don't do anything, your students will be kidnapped!
