32. Dear and dear

Flitwick, led by Filch, quickly arrived at the restaurant.

He had placed the spell on the door. If someone opened it, he would naturally be able to find traces of magic on the intruder.

But he checked every student present and found nothing.

All the students at Hogwarts are here, 56 of them, and no one is absent.

This made Mag's face look very ugly. There were only three possibilities for such a situation.

It is true that a student broke into a room that was not allowed to enter without permission, but this was not accidental or just a student's curiosity and prank, but a premeditated move. After that, he removed the traces of the spell on his body.

The possibility of this is very low. Even if it is just a small spell, it is a spell set by Flitwick and cannot be solved by just any student.

The second possibility is that, as is the fact before us, no students broke into the room without permission, and besides the students, only the professor was left on the carriage. The handiwork in front of him was actually the work of a certain professor.

This is McGonagall's most unlikely guess. There are only three professors in Hogwarts, excluding Dumbledore. Lily, Slughorn, and Flitwick are either students she taught personally, or they are

Colleagues who have worked with her for many years have all been tested at critical moments, and no one can be suspected.

So Mag is actually more inclined to the third guess.

Since he is neither a student nor a professor, it can only be that someone who shouldn't have entered the carriage has entered!

Thinking of this, Mag's face turned extremely pale.

She didn't dare to think about this possibility, because nothing like this had ever happened in Hogwarts during its seven years of exile, but she had to think about it.

If such a thing really happens, it means that all the students in this carriage are in extremely dangerous condition!

"Everyone stay in the restaurant! Don't go anywhere!"

Her sudden sharp voice frightened all the students present.

McGonagall's expression was frighteningly ugly. She handed the place to Flitwick, who also realized the seriousness of the problem, and then hurriedly walked out of the restaurant and walked quickly towards Principal Dumbledore's office.

The panic in her heart even made her forget to knock on the door, and just opened the door and walked in.

"Albus! You have to know this! Albus!"

Dumbledore was quietly writing a letter with a quill pen. Faced with McGonagall's sudden intrusion, his face did not show the slightest surprise.

He put down the pen in his hand, but his eyes were still on the letter he had just finished.

"Don't worry, Minerva, the carriage is still running and I'm still here, so there's no need to panic."

Dumbledore's calmness seemed to have calmed down McGonagall's nervousness. She breathed steadily, but still spoke impatiently.

"Someone broke into the forbidden room on the carriage without permission. All these rooms were previously spelled by Filius, and anyone who opened the door could leave traces. But I checked all the students on the carriage, and there was no one.

People have this sign. Someone must have broken in! It was probably during the last Auror attack. It was too strange. If their purpose was to use the attack to attract our attention, and then let people sneak in.

Come in and it will be explained!"

She quickly finished her speculation, but the expression on Dumbledore's face did not change at all. He was still studying the letter in his hand, as if he was studying the wording on it.

"Hmm~"

Seeing him like this, McGonagall couldn't help but frown again, and she shouted Dumbledore's name loudly.

"Albus!"

Dumbledore seemed to be drawn back to his attention by her voice. He raised his head and blinked at McGonagall.

"What's wrong?"

"Did you hear what I just said!"

Dumbledore sighed, put the letter aside, and crossed his fingers in front of him.

"Of course, I was listening to you. You speculated that the last attack was actually a conspiracy by the Ministry of Magic. They deliberately wanted to put someone into the carriage. But I think if that is the case, you don't have to worry at all, Minerva.

"

He said softly, his voice was casual, as if he really didn't care much about this matter that made Mag extremely nervous.

"Why shouldn't you worry! No one has been able to break into this carriage in the past seven years. If someone does come in now, especially someone from the Dark Lord's side, how can we ensure the safety of the students?"

Regarding her question, Dumbledore just answered calmly.

"First of all, it's just your guess that someone broke into the carriage. Although we left at that time, Horace was guarding the carriage. I believe in his ability more than anyone else. If someone really broke in,

Then he won't be able to find it. Besides, if someone really breaks in and is able to hide in the carriage for three months without harming the students or being discovered by us, then we don't have to worry so much. If he really is

If students are the target, we should have taken action long ago. We will not wait until now, which means that he has other intentions. We only need to wait for him to show his weakness. Thinking on the bright side, there are always enemies sneaking in from the outside.

It’s much better than having a traitor within oneself, isn’t it?”

His words were reasonable and well-founded. Such an answer could finally calm down McGonagall's mood. After all, as long as Dumbledore was in the car, there would be no big trouble.

"So what do we do now?"

After calming down McGonagall's nervousness, Dumbledore focused on the letter again, as if he could see through it.

"No need to do anything, let Hagrid find a place to celebrate the holiday, and we should prepare to take the children to celebrate this year's Christmas."

"That's it?" Even though her mood had calmed down, McGonagall still felt a little incredible about Dumbledore's handling of the matter.

Dumbledore nodded.

"That's it. Then please help me call Horace later. I have something I want him to help with."

After hearing that Dumbledore was not completely unresponsive, McGonagall felt a little relieved. But when she was about to leave the principal's office, Dumbledore suddenly called her again.

"Perhaps you can help me with something. After all, when I was in the castle, you wrote the admission notice to Hogwarts. You should know better than me in terms of vocabulary and grammar."

McGonagall turned her head again in confusion. She was actually very curious about the letter in Dumbledore's hand.

"What's the word?"

"'Dear Mr. Grindelwald,' don't you think this wording is too unfamiliar? Although we haven't seen each other for four or five years, we are old friends after all, so it would be better to use 'dear'

Some?"

Mag: "..."
