538.Preparation

As the boat traveled across the ocean, Jon did not return to Northern Europe after meeting Sir Stoker.

Instead, he came to the UK without almost everyone knowing.

He changed his appearance and went to many places quietly.

The orphanage where he traveled back in time and lived for a year.

Among them, those who were his same age in previous years have long since left, and the director of the orphanage has also been replaced by an old man he does not recognize.

Jon didn't have much nostalgia for this place, but after all, it was the place where he had lived for ten years.

Then he came to Diagon Alley, where it was still the same as when he had been there before. The purebloods were aloof and the purebloods could only kneel numbly on the ground as slaves who had no human qualifications.

Soon, he left Diagon Alley and came to the cemetery where countless wizards who had died fighting against Voldemort were buried.

He saw the skeletons kneeling in front of the graves of Harry and James, and also saw the fake tombstones that had been made to cover Slughorn's hiding place, as well as the names on those tombstones that were either unfamiliar or familiar.

After that, he went to the seaside where the freshman entrance ceremony was held when he first entered Hogwarts, where he rescued the students in the castle, the flower field where the banquet was held, and every place where the carriage stopped.

It wasn't until the end that Jon returned to the mountains and the shore of the Black Lake.

Of course, Hogwarts Castle is closely guarded. Although the place has long been deserted, Voldemort obviously still attaches great importance to it. There are more than a dozen Aurors patrolling here every day.

But for Jon, it is of course easy to avoid the patrols of these Aurors.

He came to the castle, first went to the basement where he had lived for more than half a year, and then wandered around the castle like a ghost.

This is the first time he has returned to Hogwarts Castle since the Triwizard Tournament. Jon can clearly feel that compared with every time he has been here before, the response to this castle is completely different.

different.

He could clearly feel that the castle itself had its own thoughts.

In the empty principal's office, Jon stroked the cold, rough and hard stone wall and spoke softly.

"You also want to go back to the way you were before, don't you?"

The surroundings were still quiet, but Jon could feel the answer the castle gave him.

It feels aggrieved, laments, and feels sad that a paradise built for children has turned into this situation.

"Don't worry, it won't be long before you can go back to your old self."

He comforted softly, and the promise he made didn't feel like a promise, but more like a statement of fact.

"Can you leave me something? Some emotional magic."

The castle's consciousness seemed to think for a while, but soon it urged and guided Jon, leading him to the secret room that was originally Slytherin's.

Jon remembered that Hermione had been here during the Triwizard Tournament, and also discovered Peeves who was blocked.

But now there is nothing here except a dirty clown hat lying on the ground.

The texture of the hat seemed to be somewhere between solid and illusory. It was obvious that Jon could reach out and touch it, but it still felt extremely unreal.

And after holding this hat in his hand, Jon already knew it in his heart.

"That's enough. This is what I need most."

The whole castle jumped for joy, and its happiness included the satisfaction that Jon could provide help, and also the expectation for the near future he promised.

After staying in England for a day, Jon left the island of Great Britain.

He returned to the station on the Nordic wizarding line, and now the situation has become even more tense. Although Voldemort has not yet appeared, in the confrontation between conventional wizards, the two sides have entered a fierce stage, and the German front is always on the move.

As time goes by, no one knows where the flames of this war will spread the next day.

Therefore, when Jon returned to Northern Europe, most of the forces in the Wuping line had been mobilized to the front line, and except for some necessary positions in the rear, there were hardly many people left behind.

When he came back and wanted to find the professors in the school, only Mag was still here waiting for him.

"I heard what you want from Kingsley and the others."

Before Jon could explain his purpose, Mag had already delivered some things to him.

"We have guessed that you will come to us, but Filius and Lily can no longer wait for you here. Germany is in urgent need of manpower. After I hand over these things to you on their behalf, I will leave immediately.

Already."

Jon took those things from her hand, which included a silver ring, which was obviously the one that Flitwick had been carrying, and an old "Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration", which was obviously

Mag's own special items were also handed over to Jon at this moment, and the last one was a small magical toy broom that belonged to Lily.

This is what the Harry of this world left behind when he was a child, and it has always been her most precious souvenir.

Mag seemed to feel a sense of farewell, and felt sad that Jon had to bear the expectations of so many people at such an age.

With red eyes, she hugged Jon.

"If you really get to that point, you must protect yourself!"

Jon didn't answer, he just hugged Mag and patted her back at the same time.

"Be safe on the battlefield, Professor, the future of Hogwarts will be waiting for you to preside over the sorting."

Mag let go of Jon, she wiped her eyes and said with a smile.

"This day will come soon."

After handing the things to Jon, Mag did not stay here any longer. There were still many things for her to do on the front line. Being able to wait here for Jon to come back was already the time she had finally squeezed out.

Jon stayed alone in the room, sorting out all the "gifts" he had received in the past two days and keeping them properly.

Then he stayed alone for a while, and after thinking for a moment, he opened the door.

He asked many people and finally found Hermione in a makeshift rescue shelter near the front line.

She acts as a temporary nurse here, and when the war situation reaches its most critical moment, she will also go to the front line as a soldier.

Hermione was very busy at work, so Jon did not bother her. Instead, after arriving at the rescue center, he was treated as a volunteer and participated in the work here.

It wasn't until Hermione sat tiredly on a chair during the break that she saw Jon who handed her a glass of water.

"I thought you wouldn't come to me."
