Hongmen Banquet

Jing Miao stood at the door of the Hilton Hotel, suddenly hesitating. The unbearable scene last night flashed through her mind, and the pain all over her body reminded her that it was not a nightmare, but reality.

When I went to see my mother this morning, the hospital had given me an ultimatum.

But she couldn't back down. Her uncle promised to give her money. As long as she finished the meal, the medical bills she owed to the hospital would be relieved.

Jing Miao knew that her uncle, who had never read any books, always wanted a college student like her to show off, but why did she meet him in such a situation?

"Hey, this is my niece, Jing Miao. Miaomiao is a top student in University A. This is Mr. He." Jing Miao's uncle Sun Shun cast his eager eyes on Jing Miao's face.

Naturally, she would not live up to his expectations. She lowered her eyes slightly, as if shy, and said obediently, "Hello, Mr. He"

He Liushu's handmade suit was casually draped on the back of the chair, two buttons on the front of his neck were casually unbuttoned, and he leaned firmly on the back of the chair, exuding a sense of laziness.

Jing Miao only dared to huddle in the chair, sitting on pins and needles. There was never a moment when she felt that her uncle's loud voice was so kind and cute.

Suddenly two more middle-aged men in suits and leather shoes came in outside the door. Uncle immediately stood up, and Jing Miao also stood up reflexively.

"Hey, Mr. Zhang and Mr. Li, thank you for coming. It's not easy to have an appointment with you." Uncle Jing Miao smiled brightly, with a bit of excitement in his expression.

"Mr. He is so kind. We didn't dare to come because there was a traffic jam on the road, so we were late. I'm so sorry, Mr. He."

He Liushu did not move. He sat on the chair and gestured slightly. Several people sat down and exchanged pleasantries.

Jing Miao held the tea cup with both hands and sipped it slowly. Her tense nerves relaxed slightly. It seemed that today's dinner was not deliberately arranged by He Liushu.

During the dinner, my uncle introduced Jing Miao to Mr. Zhang and Mr. Li again, and praised him vigorously as usual. Jing Miao had long been used to it. She was the first child in that small town to pass the entrance examination to a key university. Every time his uncle went, he liked it.

Take yourself with you and praise yourself because you want to show yourself to the world.

"Hey, Mr. Sun's niece looks very iconic. It's rare to see a beautiful girl who is so good at studying nowadays." Others would praise her like this.

Jing Miao smiled calmly, "My uncle exaggerated, I'm not that good."

"Mr. Sun is a very pragmatic person and speaks truthfully. Miaomiao, please stop being modest." He Liushu suddenly spoke, his voice low and magnetic.

Hearing his name, Jing Miao couldn't help but frown slightly.

The uncle was very happy on the side. When he heard the compliment from He Liushu who didn't say much, he immediately turned to Jing Miao who was immersed in eating very seriously and said, "Miaomiao, on behalf of your uncle, I would like to congratulate Mr. Li. Mr. Zhang can come this time."

, it’s all for Mr. He’s sake.”

Jing Miao pinched herself secretly, then stood up slowly. Just as she was about to take the wine from her uncle, He Liushu said, "She is still a student, so she still drinks instead of wine."

Very considerate

Next to him, Mr. Zhang and Mr. Li, who were still making noises about using a big cup to toast, immediately changed their words and responded by saying, "Hey, yes, it's good for girls to drink."

He Liushu personally poured a glass of Dutch milk for her, and his slightly curved thin lips formed a soft smile.

Jing Miao squeezed the white wine glass in her hand, and for the first time after entering this box, she raised her eyes and looked directly into his eyes.
