After a year and a half, the novel "The Royal Family of the Great Zhou Dynasty" has finally come to an end. This is my third book, and the length of the article is the longest among the three at 3.87 million words.
Let me tell you what I think.
Da Zhou is a commercial novel. I originally hoped that there would be less personal things in this novel. However, in the end, I still couldn't avoid including some of my own personal things.
The first thing a person sees when he or she is born is his or her relatives - father and mother. A person may have several lovers, but he will only have one father and one mother. Compared with love, the most eternal thing is family affection.

"Da Zhou" is such a novel about family love.
Family love transcends everything, transcends morality, transcends righteousness, transcends the country, transcends everything. The country, the country, only when the family exists, the country has meaning.
What Fang Yun pursues is the happiness of family and family ties. All national justice, glory and honor will be eclipsed in the face of family ties.
There is a famous saying that no matter how successful your career is, your family will fail. This person is also a failure, and a complete loser.
Therefore, what Fang Yun pursues in the end is not the domineering power to dominate the universe or the ambition to become emperor, but a happy and peaceful life of family reunion.
This is Fang Yun's pursuit. It's also Huangfu's pursuit. It's my personal belongings.
Ordinariness is the truth. - This is my current understanding of life.
Let me talk about a few points here that were controversial in the Great Zhou Dynasty. I didn’t want to explain them before, but at the end of the day, I might as well talk about them.
1. Fang Yun rescued Xie Daoyun.
There was no righteous war in the Spring and Autumn Period. War has never been about benevolence and justice, only interests. Fang Yun and Xie Daoyun only differed in their stances. As for rising to the level of Japanese war criminals, they were on the same page.
The Fang family is a descendant of the Five Emperors, and Xie Daoyun is also a descendant of the Five Emperors. The two descendants of the Five Emperors compete for hegemony in China. Is it similar to the Eight-Year War of Resistance?
Who are the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors? Whose descendant, descendant, and descendant are you?
Think about it carefully, are there any similarities? So I don’t want to explain it here at all.
2. Questions about the universe beyond Middle-earth.
As mentioned above, the main line of the entire novel is that Fang Yun changes his fate against the will of heaven and protects his family. By the time the Human Emperor dies, this proposition has been completed. If he develops further to the outside world, it will be another route of domination, which belongs to another
A story.
I'm not writing now, so you may feel a little regretful and think I'm a mess. But if I'm going to write, you'll definitely feel that it's better not to write.
The current mainstream of fantasy themes is to write in a big way. But an inevitable problem is that once it involves the stars, the universe, and the big gods and demons, the appeal of the novel will plummet compared to the previous ones. It is easy to create big problems.
And the feeling of emptiness.
I punched a planet, and then punched a universe. - Do you feel the difference?
I have already written a book "After Ascension". I try to avoid lengthy articles about the "grandeur" and "magnificence" of this universe. A little bit is fine and fresh, but too much becomes boring.
What's more, Fang Yun's destiny-changing change has been completed. He doesn't want to write another story about Tianwai. Let's use our imagination to make up for it.
Of course, there is also a problem at the end of the big week. Everyone has already explained this, and that is that the "progress" is too fast compared to before.
I admit this.
In 2008, I wrote "After Ascension" and it was planned to end around the time of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. But the actual end time was October 2009.
This ending took a long time and was more than a year later than planned.
In 2012, "The Royal Family of the Zhou Dynasty" was originally scheduled to end in early April (I did not announce this, I had this timetable in mind). However, the actual end time was early June. The ending was 2 months later than planned.
Compared to one year and one month in "After Ascension", this time has been greatly shortened.
Of the two endings, "The Royal Family of the Great Zhou Dynasty" is the normal ending. I have already said everything that needs to be said in the ending.
You may feel that the progress is too fast in some places, but this is indeed a normal ending.
As for the ending of "After Ascension", it is undoubtedly an excellent ending beyond the normal ending. But this ending took a year and a month. It was really too long.
On this platform, I don't know how many people can wait for so long.
After all, the novel still focuses on the plot and explains all the plot clearly. The novel ends normally.
Dazhou is undoubtedly the normal ending.
