Chapter 76: Surprised and Huge Change

A new wave of news in City B has covered up Jin Chengjun's gossip. First, there was news that Tianyuan Group suffered losses and was on the verge of bankruptcy. This caused great panic among stock investors, but the panic did not last long.

Jin's high-profile announcement that he wanted to acquire Tianyuan caused a wave of awe.

Early autumn in September ushered in an autumn rain

A loud bang woke Lu Man up from her sleep. She turned over and sat up on the bed, wiping the cold sweat from her forehead.

Outside the window, there was blackness, and there was another thunder, and then, a heavy rain poured down.

The strong wind slapped the window, and the curtains hanging on the balcony flew up. Lu Man was at a loss. It wasn't until the crackling sound came that he walked out of bed barefoot and closed the window and balcony door.

It was gray outside the window, and the world was shrouded in a curtain of rain. Lu Man stared outside in a daze, with a languid look on his face, not noticing the approaching footsteps.

The door was opened rudely, and the servant Sister Xi rushed in and shouted at her: "Madam, I just received a call and my husband has fainted."

A white light flashed across the gray sky, followed by a loud bang, which made Lu Man dizzy. She looked at Sister Xi blankly, her head buzzing.

"Madam, my father-in-law is him." Seeing her like this, Sister Xi couldn't help but speak again.

Lu Man didn't wait for her to finish speaking, and jumped out, leaving Jin's house in an instant and rushing into the rain.

The heavy rain fell, and the sky seemed to open a huge faucet. On the road, the lights of the cars were vaguely visible in the rain curtain.

Lu Man ran all the way out and rushed to the road in a panic, barely avoiding being hit by an oncoming car.

Even so, she was still shocked and fell to the ground. Soon, a tall man in a suit walked up to him holding a black umbrella.

"Miss, are you okay?" The man's voice was gentle and concerned. He knelt down and looked at Lu Man: "Are you injured anywhere? Do I need to take you to the hospital?"

Lu Man seemed to have found his backbone all of a sudden. He grabbed the man's trouser leg with his wet hands, raised his pale face, looked at the man and begged: "Send me to the hospital, please, I beg you."

She didn't hold an umbrella, her body was already soaked, her hair was messy on her face, and her original appearance could not be seen clearly, only a pair of hesitant and frightened eyes were revealed.

Looking at those eyes, the man's heart softened for no reason, and he nodded: "Okay"
