225 White Horse Detective

A cold wind blew by, and Tokyo, which has not yet fully entered the state of spring, was still feeling the remaining coldness of winter.

Director Baima couldn't help but let out a big sneeze, and then walked toward the rooftop exit with a forlorn figure. On the way downstairs, he was inevitably greeted by some subordinates who were suspicious of him coming down from the rooftop.

But he didn't have the heart to explain so much now. The thoughts in his head were too messy. For example, the young man named Amuro Toru who just reminded him specifically should be from the Public Security Investigation Bureau, right?

Previously, the Public Security Bureau of Investigation denied the Metropolitan Police Department's proposal to insert personnel into the funeral home, and strictly stated that they had their own plans. Now it seems that they may be referring to Toru Amuro, who was the first to enter the funeral home.

I thought that the Metropolitan Police Department would be the first to come, but I didn’t expect that not only the Suzuki family would be faster than them, but also the Public Security Investigation Department would be faster!

Director Baima's face turned dark when he thought of this. In the entire police system, with so many people, there are only a few that can be counted on.

I wanted to sigh tiredly, but I ate the rejuvenating sushi and drank the rejuvenating tea before leaving. I was even more radiant and full of energy than when I left.

This actually made Director Baima feel so melancholy that he couldn't vent his frustration.

"Master Charming is really young and promising."

A burst of compliments came from the conference room. Director Baima was stunned and guessed something. He opened the door and saw his son Baima Tan chatting with someone in the conference room.

"I can't be called a young and promising person. By the way, the second lady of the Suzuki family who is the same age as me, what did she do that makes you sigh so much?"

Detective Hakuba is very curious about this Suzuki Sonoko who is talked about by the consultants. He heard that he is still the same age as himself. These people have been lamenting that the Suzuki family has given birth to a good daughter, how outstanding she is, and how she has inherited the excellent genes of the Suzuki family.

Something like that.

This made Mr. Baima, who had always been a little arrogant and a little narcissistic, very competitive.

"Why are you back? I haven't heard from your mother before." Director Baima interrupted Detective Baima's inquiry.

Just as Tan Baima wanted to say a few words to his father, whom he had not seen for a long time, he was pushed aside by a group of consultants and stood aside.

"How is it? Director Baima, how is the situation?" Everyone asked in a hurry.

"I remember that Director Baima looked haggard before he left. His radiant look now must be a good result, right?"

"Yes, yes."

"It should be."

Everyone felt deeply justified, and the joyful atmosphere dissipated the previous tension and anxiety.

Director Hakuba looked at these stupid and cheerful people with a blank expression, feeling very tired. Blessings can restore vitality, sushi can restore physical strength, and tea can restore energy, but... nothing can restore mental strength.

"A good news or a bad news, which one do you want to hear first?"

The calm tone made the atmosphere freeze for a moment. Everyone looked at each other, and someone asked: "Is Onmyoji really planning to come to your door?"

Director Baima said casually with little interest: "This is the good news I said. Our Onmyoji master has at least temporarily given up this idea."

Everyone was just about to relax when they suddenly noticed that Director Baima said "temporarily", which meant that they would probably still have to fight? This was the second idea speculated by psychological experts - to endure it for the time being and accumulate strength.

This is damn good news! If this was good news, how bad would the bad news be!

Without giving them any buffering time, Director Baima continued: "The bad news is that Onmyoji has been busy practicing recently, and the blessing business will be suspended for a period of time, and the resumption time is to be determined."

"In addition, our evaluation information on Onmyoji also needs to be updated. His strength, attitude towards us, and our attitude towards him need to be re-discussed."

Everyone made eye contact and seemed to understand something, but Director Baima also knew what they were going to say. Wasn't he just blaming himself for acting without permission, which led to bad consequences?

There is really nothing new about this kind of thing when someone who is not doing something is pointing fingers at someone who is doing something.

Director Baima stretched out his hand to stop their speech and said with a serious face:

"What happened this time may not be a good thing, at least it did not cause truly serious consequences. If we wait until the last critical moment to discover Onmyoji's true thoughts, then it would be truly serious."

Without waiting for anyone to react, he turned to Baima and said, "Go to my office and wait for me. I have an important meeting to hold now."

After Baima Tan left in confusion, Director Baima walked to the end of the conference table without sitting down. He held the table with both hands. Before anyone could ask questions, he suppressed everyone with his momentum and majesty, and then began to talk about this incident.

What happened and why he said it was a good thing...

Half an hour later, Director Baima finished what he wanted to say without being interrupted and left the conference room, leaving them plenty of time to think.

Everyone in the conference room had different expressions. The Suzuki family representative, who was surrounded and complimented like Detective Hakuba, now looked at his nose and his heart, trying to reduce his sense of presence, but he still couldn't resist the murderous eyes piercing him.

Director Baima knew very well the nature of these people, so he was not going to listen to them complain here and blame them, so he left in time and went to the office.

Hakuba saw his father coming in and asked with worry on his face: "Are you worried about the Onmyoji?"

Director Baima sighed, sat in his seat, rubbed his temples, looked down and saw that his file had been opened by this kid, and he frowned and said:

"Didn't I tell you not to touch my files?"

Detective Bai Ma said with a smile: "There are no real secrets in this country, and curiosity and observation are the basic qualities of a detective."

Director Baima also has nothing to do with this outstanding son. He usually turns a blind eye to some slightly outrageous things, and even occasionally asks his opinion on some issues.

"The Onmyoji you are talking about...is it the kind of Onmyoji I understand? Does it really exist?" White Horse Detective asked a little incomprehensibly.

He was in the office next door, picked up a tea cup and eavesdropped on what was just discussed in the conference room, but he couldn't believe his ears.

Director Hakuba said in a low and authentic voice: "It's the kind of extraordinary existence you understand that can control shikigami and possess various magical abilities."

"Even... he has opened up his own divine domain and is close to the existence of gods!"

As a detective, Bai Ma Tan is a firm believer in materialism. He has encountered many ghost murder cases, but in the end he successfully proved that they were man-made incidents.

Therefore, he has never believed in ghosts and gods. If there really are ghosts and gods, wouldn't his proud detective ability be a joke?

If there is really a ghost that kills someone, how can he catch him?

"Okay, you shouldn't worry about these things. You are still a high school student, and academics are the most important thing. I will find someone to arrange school for you."

Detective Hakuba quickly said: "I have already chosen a school. It's Ekoda High School. It's best to say hello to the principal. I want to choose my own class."

This is not a big deal. Director Baima nodded, "Okay."

The white horse detective followed the secretary, but he was full of thoughts and extraordinary existence...
