Chapter 13: Love

Night falls, the sky is full of stars

A small stream flows quietly, clearly visible. Several small fish swim freely in the water, and the water surface ripples slightly under the moonlight.

Two bonfires danced brightly and warmly among the trees, occasionally making the sound of crackling wood burning.

A simple shelf was built with branches on both sides of the bonfire. A hare was roasting on the fire with a branch strung horizontally on it. The flames were very strong, making a "squeaking" sound, and the aroma of the roasted rabbit was rising.

Get up, be blown away by the evening breeze, and scatter

There is a small iron pot hanging on another bonfire. Inside is a pot of fresh fish soup. It is steaming and the aroma is overflowing.

There were several people sitting around the bonfire, busy with their respective tasks.

Jiang Yuebin was guarding the fish soup and adding seasonings, Zhou Rui was turning over rabbits, and Li Tianlei and Ji Yang were picking up tree branches.

Not far away, Aorong was applying medicine to Qing Cang, and there was a shocking new sword wound on his left shoulder from the battle.

As expected, those assassins did not give up and continued to hunt them down again and again, never getting tired of chasing them.

Fortunately, Aorong's skills were enough to intimidate these people, but sometimes it was inevitable to get hurt.

After applying the medicine, she gently stroked Qing Cang's naked back with her fingers. The scars on it were clearly visible. "None of these wounds seem to be new." She felt a trace of pity in her heart.

All the blood in Tang Qingcang's body was concentrated in the place she touched, and there was a slight tremor in the hot and uncomfortable voice, "The injury I suffered before"

Aorong noticed it sensitively and pulled up his clothes for him, "It seems that it is difficult for a prince to do this."

He turned around to face her, with nostalgia and forbearance in his eyes, "Those of us seem to be the most prosperous, but in fact we are the most difficult. We have encountered all kinds of assassinations, poisonings, and secret arrows since childhood. Only the direct descendants of the royal family can survive.

"One of the few"

By his generation, except for him and a seven-year-old younger brother who survived, everyone else was dead.

Aorong looked at him with admiration, "But you managed to survive."

Tang Qingcang gave a bitter smile, "I managed to survive, but I also paid the price in blood." His heart felt itchy and he stared at her intently.

Sharing life and death along the way made him even more in love, and a strand of love was firmly tied to her.
