72. Can you still not forget him?

In the western restaurant, Yan'er and Che sat opposite each other. No one broke the silence. The song "Forgotten Angel" was playing continuously on the radio.

"Yan'er, you, me," Che hesitated and wanted to say something but didn't know how to say it.

"Huh? What's wrong? Just tell me if you have anything to say." Yan'er looked at Che strangely and found it funny when he saw that he was hesitant to speak.

"Then let me tell you straight, I have actually liked you for a long time. Can you be my girlfriend?" Che mustered up the courage to say it.

"..." Yan'er didn't know what to say. In fact, she could feel Che's affection for the past six months, but she didn't dare to face it because she still couldn't forget Ze in her heart.

"Is it because of Yin Haoze? In fact, you have never forgotten him, right?" Che looked at Yan'er with a frustrated face.

"Che, you know that I have always regarded you as my brother, really." Yan'er's eyes were red, and tears kept rolling in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, I was so excited." Che regretted it when he saw Yan'er's tears about to fall.

"Am I so useless? I can't forget him. He obviously doesn't believe me anymore." Yan'er finally cried. The tears she had suppressed in the past six months seemed to be flowing out all at once.

"Okay, stop crying, okay? My heart is broken when you cry." Che walked over and hugged Yan'er, letting Yan'er's tears soak through his shirt.

"Uuuu..." Yan'er still kept crying. She really tried to forget Ze every day, but she couldn't do it every time. She also hated herself and hated herself for being so useless.

"Okay, be good, stop crying, okay?" Che gently patted Yan'er's back, trying to coax Yan'er like a child. Yan'er's tears are so precious, every drop is like a sharp sword.

Deeply hurting Che's heart

After a long time, Yan'er finally got tired of crying and lay quietly in Che's arms, her eyes swollen like walnuts.

"Yan'er, promise me you won't cry anymore, okay?" Che looked at Yan'er distressedly and said softly.

"Che, don't be so nice to me, I really don't deserve it." Yan'er came out of Che's arms and looked at Che sadly and said

"Only you are worthy of me doing this. Just let me protect you silently." Che rubbed Yan'er's long hair distressedly, his eyes full of distress and sadness.

"..." Yan'er didn't say anything, she just looked at Che blankly, her eyes full of apologies and guilt.

"Silly girl, don't feel guilty. I did it voluntarily. As long as you are nice, I will be fine." Che seemed to be able to read Yan'er's mind and said thoughtfully.

Maybe it's enough for me to be Yan'er's knight. The knight is only responsible for sending her to her prince, and then silently guarding their happiness. - by Che
