[29] Cocooning oneself [important]

After such a fuss at night, any sleepiness Xia Tong had had suddenly disappeared.

She took another hot bath, originally hoping to induce some sleepiness, but unexpectedly her mind became clearer after the bath. In desperation, she had no choice but to turn on the light and plan to stay up all night drawing sketches.

But I have been painting with a brush for two hours, but I still have no inspiration. Although my mind is clear, it is very messy, as if there are many things overlapping in it, and I can't figure out a clue.

Xia Tong put down the paintbrush and leaned on the sofa cushion behind him, but his eyes caught sight of the Thai advertising leaflet that he had casually placed aside.

I couldn't help but think of those three characters - 'um', 'kt', 'la'. And the meanings they represent: Thailand, Myanmar, Laos - the golden triangle of drugs.

Xia Tong held her chin, if Qin Hansheng had been secretly engaged in drug trading in recent years, and used a considerable part of drug money to develop Disheng's economy. Xia Tong simply couldn't imagine how many companies would be involved once these things were exposed.

How many people will be affected?

Qin Hansheng, who is the first to bear the brunt, will definitely be sentenced to death, and Di Sheng will also experience a big storm. Many small companies that cooperate with Di Sheng may be on the verge of bankruptcy, and countless people will lose their jobs...

Xia Tong closed her eyes and clutched the advertisement leaflet. That's all, these things had nothing to do with her, why did she need to get stuck in this muddy water? Just pretend that she didn't see anything and didn't know anything...

If she doesn't say anything, these darkness will be hidden in the dark forever and will not be discovered...

Although silence is legally cowardly, for more innocent people, it is the best option.

Xia Tong put the advertising flyer aside and continued to draw. But as soon as she picked up the brush, many things that happened in the past, pictures from the past, and words that she had never noticed suddenly came to her one after another, making her feel faintly.

A hint of unusualness.

******** ********

She remembered the night six years ago when she was maliciously arranged by Xia Huairen to go on a blind date, but was finally brought back to Zuofengshan Villa by Qin Muzhang.

He was drunk, mistook her for Lin Manru, and almost had sex. Finally, when he sobered up, he told her the story of him and Lin Manru for the first time.

Xia Tong remembered what he said at the time: "Later, Manru and I returned to China and managed Disheng together. At that time, even my father acquiesced to our relationship."

"Then one day, she suddenly ignored me and returned to Germany alone. I flew all night to find her, but she refused to see me. I flew to Germany three times, but she didn't even see her.

Willing to see me..."

"Then on the night I came back from Germany for the third time, my father told me to marry the daughter of the Xia family. That night I called her all night long, but she didn't even bother to send me a text message back -

—.”

Six years later, Xia Tong realized for the first time that something was wrong with this conversation. First of all, when Lin Manru and Qin Muzhe returned from Germany and managed Disheng together, Qin Hansheng acquiesced. In other words, he admitted

With Lin Manru as his wife, he should have agreed to Qin Muzhen's marriage to her.

The strange thing is that one day, Lin Manru suddenly ignored Qin Muchan and returned to Germany, never wanting to see him.

As soon as she left, Qin Hansheng immediately chose another marriage for Qin Mushi. The marriage partner was his sister, Xia Wanlin, the daughter of the Xia family at that time.

Then Lin Manru died in a car accident.

Just when everyone thought Lin Manru was really dead, he saw Lin Manru resurrected in Australia. She lied about amnesia even though she had no amnesia. She got married and had children in Australia incognito, but she never returned to her country, let alone came to see her.

Passing Qin Mu's decision...

If she really loved Qin Mujie, why would she rather let him live in the pain of losing his lover all these years instead of going to him and telling the truth? But she chose to avoid him for the rest of her life?

The only explanation can only be that Lin Manru's identity will be detrimental to her. Once she tells the truth to Qin Muzhen, the possible result is that she will once again replicate the car accident six years ago and lose her life.

And the only person in this world who can make Qin Mujie fearful is his father, Qin Hansheng.

Xia Tong clenched the brush, and an incredible guess emerged in his mind. Could it be that Lin Manru had seen the drug information six years ago and knew about Qin Hansheng's drug trafficking?

She understood that Qin Hansheng would not let her go one day, so she had no choice but to break up with Qin Mu and return to Germany. Who knew that she could not escape in the end, but was tricked by Qin Hansheng's people behind her back, and the car accident happened. Fortunately, she didn't.

He died and moved to Australia, hiding his name...

If explained in this way, then everything makes sense. Lin Manru's rebirth after death, pretending to have amnesia, unwilling to return to China, Qin Hansheng's uncharacteristic behavior six years ago...

Some mysteries that she could not explain no matter how she thought about them in the past could be easily solved in this way.

But, what happened to Xia Wanlin? If Lin Manru's car accident six years ago was caused by Qin Hansheng, why did his sister suddenly commit suicide in the apartment? She also wrote the last words "Lin Manru, I'm sorry" before she died?

And Su Ruo, why did she pretend to be Lin Manru? How could she know so many things about Lin Manru?

Suddenly, Xia Tong stood up, his heart beating wildly, and an unpleasant idea came to his mind.

If all her guesses just now are correct, Lin Manru was indeed 'silenced' by Qin Hansheng six years ago. And now Su Ruo pretending to be Lin Manru is extremely dangerous. Once Qin Hansheng finds out that Lin Manru is still alive, he will definitely treat Su Ruo

If it is unfavorable.

Perhaps, he will choose to kill and silence him again.

Xia Tong paced back and forth in the room, feeling uneasy. Should she remind her? Although Su Ruozeng did many bad things to her behind her back, no matter what, it was a human life.

If I remind her now, she might be able to save her life.

But——Xia Tong paused and sat down again.

But, will she believe herself? That day in the hospital, she denied it like that. She was obviously lying, but she said it so confidently, screaming and repeating that she was Lin Manru. In the end, she even asked the nurse to kick her out.

I'm just afraid that she might not appreciate it if I'm doing her a favor right now.

Thinking of this, Xia Tong continued to lower his head and draw, not wanting to pay attention to it anymore. Anyway, there was no friendship between him and her. It was her business to keep herself in a cocoon, and she had nothing to do with it.

Why bother to act like a villain? I'm afraid that if the final reminder fails, Qin Hansheng will see some clues, which will put himself in danger, and the gain will not be worth the loss.

She still hurriedly drew the wedding dress and worked hard. She didn't want to care about those unimportant people and things.
