Chapter 2 Delicate Relationship

During the dinner, except for Tang Xiangtian's occasional interjection, the rest of the dinner was filled with elegant silence.

Mr. Tang has close or loose relationships with all the famous people in New York. Du Jiawen and him often have frequent contacts because they are both Chinese.

It's just that on an occasion like today, Mr. Tang seemed to treat Du Jiawen as always, but intentionally or unintentionally, he distanced himself from Xiang Xiaochuang. It seemed that he was already an old antique from the last century, and he was given the opportunity to be on the same level as Mr. Tang.

He was given the opportunity, but Xiang Xiaochuang was shortened by a generation for no reason. He was undoubtedly unwilling to do so.

"Xiaochang, you can't eat spicy food." Du Jiawen reminded him gently after seeing Xiang Xiaochuang stretch out his chopsticks and grab a chopstick of spicy chicken.

"Oh, right." Xiang Xiaochuang was obviously lost in thought and frowned at the spicy chicken on the plate.

Du Jiawen was a little far away, but he stretched out his arm from her plate and took the spicy chicken into his own bowl: "I know you don't want to waste it, so let me help you eat it."

Boss Tang frowned almost invisible: "Xiaochang's stomach problem, how is it now?"

"I haven't posted much recently, so it's good." Xiang Xiaochuang answered a little hastily, but his eyes watched Du Jiawen put the piece of spicy chicken into his mouth. His face was lightly smeared with red.

"It doesn't matter. I'll hire a dedicated private doctor to prescribe a diet for you." Boss Tang looked at Xiang Xiaochuang with a look that could even be considered kind.

"No, I have already prescribed a special recipe for her." Du Jiawen deliberately wanted to show his intimacy with Xiang Xiaochuang, "She has been doing well recently."

Tang Xiangtian stopped interrupting at this time, and just watched his father and Du Jiawen having a "friendly" exchange of words.

Even Xiang Xiaochuang felt that the atmosphere was a bit strange, and he ate the meal with great caution.

Du Jiawen asked with concern: "What's wrong? Is the rice not to your liking? Why do you stop eating after eating so little?"

Xiang Xiaochuang looked at her rice bowl inexplicably. Which meal did she not eat so much? She looked up and saw Tang Xiangtian sitting opposite, with a funny look of holding back laughter until he was hurt. He was even more suspicious, and he actually forgot.

Open your mouth.

"It doesn't matter, it may be the first time, the food is not to your liking." Mr. Tang smiled gently, "In the future, let Mrs. Chen cook some meals that you like, and your appetite will naturally be whetted."

"Ah, no, it suits my taste." Xiang Xiaochuang hurriedly defended.

"Xiaochang has been drinking porridge recently, and porridge is easy to digest for dinner." Du Jiawen couldn't bear to see her anxious look and took the initiative to help her out.

"Oh, thank you for the reminder, Mr. Du." Mr. Tang thanked him politely, but clearly excluded Du Jiawen from being a family member.

After the meal, Du Jiawen had no intention of leaving, and Boss Tang didn't show any intention of staying overnight. After sitting in the restaurant for three rounds of tea, the situation was still so tense that Xiang Xiaochuang couldn't help but yawn.

"Xiaochang, are you tired?" Tang Xiangtian also got bored watching the show. He stood up and extended his hand to Xiang Xiaochuang, "Let's go, I'll take you to your room. Mrs. Chen has already tidied up the room. Go to bed early."

, let’s get rid of the jet lag.”

Xiang Xiaochuang looked at Du Jiawen as if reflexively. The helpless look in his eyes made Du Jiawen feel soft in his heart: "Xiaochuang, you go to rest first. Do you want me to accompany you?"

He asked softly, like a glass of mellow wine, and the fragrant deqi surrounded her layer by layer.

"You...where do you live?"

Before Du Jiawen had time to answer, Boss Tang had already answered: "Xiao Chuang, do you still need to worry about Mr. Du? He has lived in New York for so many years, and he has plenty of space!"

"Mr. Tang, you are wrong. I am really going to bother you today!" Du Jiawen shamelessly looked at Mr. Tang.

"How can a humble house catch Mr. Du's eyes?" Mr. Tang laughed, but Du Jiawen seemed unable to hear such a polite refusal. He stood up and held Xiang Xiaochuang's other hand.

"Based on my friendship with Xiao Chuang, I will be with..."

"The guest room is ready. I'll ask Mrs. Chen to take you there." Before Du Jiawen said something more ambiguous, Mr. Tang ordered the maid who had just come to fill the water, "Mr. Du should be tired now, so I won't stay."

You drink tea again."

Although Du Jiawen felt that it was a bit regretful that he could not be in the same room with Xiang Xiaochuang. But such an ending was not satisfactory. Boss Tang was so anxious that he might have spread his cards suddenly. He had no idea about Xiang Xiaochuang at this time.

With full confidence, I can only reluctantly accept it.

"Xiangtian and I will take Xiaochuang back to his room!" He said, without waiting for Boss Tang to raise any further objections, he already shook Xiang Xiaochuang's hand and walked up the stairs together.

Boss Tang was left, still sitting where he was, looking thoughtfully at the three people walking up the stairs side by side.

Of course, he has thoroughly investigated the relationship between Du Jiawen and Xiang Xiaochuang. Du Jiawen and Chen Sijia's engagement has not been terminated, and he does not approve of Xiang Xiaochuang's frequent contacts with Du Jiawen.

But the importance Du Jiawen attached to Xiang Xiaochuang was really beyond his expectation. For a moment, he began to ponder as he faced the deserted stairs.

For an old-fashioned Chinese like Mr. Tang, he naturally hopes that Xiang Xiaochuang, who is pregnant, will hold a wedding with Du Jiawen, so that everyone will be happy. However, Du Jiawen's own engagement has no intention of canceling it, and he wants Xiang Xiaochuang to be married.

The window was handed into Du Jiawen's hands, and I really felt sorry for her mother.

That gentle and elegant figure appeared in my mind, and I was a little crazy for a moment. It wasn't until Mrs. Chen called "Sir" three times in a row that she suddenly woke up, smiled to herself, and nodded.

When Du Jiawen walked to the door of Xiang Xiaochuang's room, Tang Xiangtian stopped him as he was about to step in with a half-smile: "Hey, Du Jiawen, don't forget that this is the Tang family!"

"I'm used to it." Du Jiawen looked at him funny, "You also know..."

"I know, but it doesn't mean that my father agrees. Since Xiaochuang has moved back to the Tang family, you should sleep in the guest room. My old man lost his temper, and it was not ordinary."

Of course Du Jiawen understood the principle of people living under the roof. Seeing Xiang Xiaochuang holding back laughter, he couldn't help pinching her cheek: "Okay, now you know how to help outsiders bully me!"

Tang Xiangtian sneered: "You must have made a mistake. We are Xiaochuang's family, and the only outsider should be you."

"Really?" Du Jiawen asked with a sneer, "Is there anyone in the world who is closer to Xiao Chuang than me?"

Tang Xiangtian looked at Xiang Xiaochuang and replied calmly: "According to what you said, you have many people close to you. We will not allow Xiaochuang to follow you without any reason. What's going on?"
