278 Cherish the Present

The situation at home was just as it was before she went downstairs.

The hall was silent except for the sound of the TV being turned on.

In the kitchen, there were some faint sounds. It seemed that my parents were still busy in the kitchen.

After the two of them went in and changed their shoes, Fred hugged Xichen and sat on the sofa, watching TV together.

With the warm and fragrant nephrite in his arms, he could still steal incense from time to time. The smile on his face had never stopped since he sat on the sofa.

After three days of not sleeping, in his opinion at this moment, everything was worth it.

Well, he has to plan carefully for these ten days of vacation.

"Xichen, how's your aunt doing?"

Thinking in his mind, he already asked.

"What else can I do? Although I was mentally prepared because I said I was missing earlier, my aunt and uncle still can't accept this fact."

Xichen's tone of voice was really helpless.

In fact, it is indeed the case.

If it is missing, there is still a glimmer of hope and some hope.

But now, all hopes are dashed.

My cousin has passed away, so where is the hope?

Until now, Xichen still clearly remembers the very haggard appearance of his uncle and aunt when he went to visit them yesterday.

In just two days, both of them suddenly aged many years.

Especially my aunt, the tears in her eyes never stopped when she talked about her cousin.

It felt so distressing to see her on the sidelines.

Although I wanted to cry, I was afraid that crying in front of my aunt and uncle would make them even more sad.

Therefore, she endured it until she left her aunt's house, and then she couldn't help crying while sitting in the taxi.

And when she was at her aunt's house, she saw nothing else but a box of her cousin's ashes.

The aunt said that since my cousin’s body seemed to have been there for some time, the hospital recommended that it be cremated as soon as possible.

So yesterday, they went through the cremation procedures locally and took Sister Su Rong's urn back by plane.

As for the matter of purchasing a cemetery for burial, it is already being processed, and my cousin will be buried soon.

As soon as he mentioned this matter, the sad feeling in Xichen's heart surged up again, and before he knew it, crystal tears were slowly flowing out of his eyes.

Seeing this, Fred had no choice but to say nothing and just held her in his arms silently.

"Xichen, we can eat after a while."

At this moment, the kitchen door opened, and Pan's father's figure appeared at the door, speaking as he walked.

When Xichen heard this, he quickly reached out and wiped the tears from his eyes, put on a smile and said, "Dad, don't worry, you and my mom will do it slowly, we're not that hungry yet."

"Hey, okay... Fred, if you are thirsty, just pour yourself some water. This is your own home, don't feel uncomfortable."

Hearing this, Pan's father nodded and spoke to Fred again.

"Well, father-in-law, I know, don't worry."

When Fred heard this, he responded with a very polite smile.

Pan's father responded, then turned around and went into the kitchen to continue working.

The kitchen door was ajar, and Xichen sat in Fred's arms, looking through the crack in the door at her parents who were busy inside, and feeling Fred's arms behind her.

My heart, at this moment, was extremely satisfied.

People just have to cherish the present.

Every moment of happiness must be cherished.

Otherwise, if you die, you will lose everything.

Sister Su Rong, she should have been happy when she was alive.

The lovely employees of r.p.c., and her brother-in-law who once truly loved her.

Although, that was only once, but at least, she also had that happiness.

Thinking like this, Xichen couldn't help but hold Fred's big hand tightly.

The warmth from the palm of her hand made her heart feel at ease for no reason.

Although the meal prepared by Pan's father and Pan's mother was not very sumptuous, there were definitely enough dishes.

Both Xichen and Fred were full.

For Pan's father and Pan's mother, this is the best reward for their hard work.

Naturally, Father Pan and Mother Pan were very happy to see the food cooked by themselves being eaten cleanly by the two of them.

Both of their faces were filled with satisfied smiles.

That night, Fred and Xichen squeezed into the small bed that was only 1.2 meters wide in her room.

He held her so tightly.

I don't mind that her bed is small, and I don't mind that her bed isn't soft enough.

He said: "Xichen, as long as I'm with you, it doesn't matter where I am."

He said: "Xichen, no matter what happens in the future, don't let me worry."

He said: "Xichen, go to sleep. I will accompany you to comfort your aunt tomorrow."

Such a warm embrace and reassuring words.

Everything made Xichen grateful from the bottom of his heart.

He was actually able to meet Fred, get to know each other, and stay together now.

She really felt that she was so happy.

Even in the past, I never dared to hope that one day I would have such happiness.

So, that night, her heart was immersed in sweetness and happiness, she closed her eyes and entered her dream.

Fred, on the other hand, hugged her contentedly.

His nose was filled with the unique fresh fragrance of her body, and a very charming smile hung on his beautiful lips, and he followed her into a sweet dream.

On a winter night, there is silence.

Tonight, there is no moon or stars in the sky.

However, the hearts of both of them were filled with the happiness of reunion under the full moon, which lingered for a long time...
