Chapter Three Hundred and Twenty-Three The Body Master Should Control the Mind
Chong'an got his name and asked again: "May I ask the master's name, what should we call our lineage?"
The Taoist said on the futon: "My teacher is named Qingxuan. As for this Taoist temple, there are only you and me, master and disciple, so there is no need to call me by any name."
Chong'an said yes.
He felt that although this Taoist temple was not as impressive as the Taoist temples he had seen along the way, this teacher was far more magical than the temple masters he had seen.
The Taoist said: "There are houses on the left and right. You can stay here for now. I will teach you the Dharma tomorrow."
"Yes, teacher."
Chong'an should have made a sound, but hesitated and asked: "Teacher, I have a question, I don't know, can you ask the teacher for help?"
The Taoist said: "Say."
Chong'an recounted his previous experiences and added: "My disciples don't understand why I have failed to become a disciple so many times before. In particular, some temple masters said that I was dishonest."
The Taoist said: "When did you come out to look for famous teachers?"
Chong'an said: "Nineteen years old..."
The Taoist said: "It's too late for you to come out to seek the Tao. Your flesh and bones have been roughly formed, and your Qi channels are fixed. If you practice forcefully, it will be difficult to achieve anything. Also, since you failed to seek a teacher, you are not willing to stay as a servant.
, then naturally no one will want to keep you."
Chong'an said in confusion: "I'm here to learn Taoism. Naturally, I don't want to be a slave. Don't say I can't do it. If I really want to do it, why go to the mountains?"
The Taoist said: "Because the Taoist temple has its own rules, first accept your own disciples, and then accept outsiders. If you are a servant in the temple, your own family will not be able to cultivate Taoism, but your descendants will be able to do so. Firstly, they will have a pure and clean life experience, and secondly, they will be taught from a young age.
, it is easy to see your qualifications and lay a foundation. The master can tell at a glance that you are unwilling, so he says you are not sincere."
Chong'an murmured: "Is this the reason?" But he did not regret his decision, because if his descendants were useless, they might have to be slaves for generations to come.
At this time, he raised his head again and said, "Then why doesn't Teacher pay attention to age?"
The Taoist said: "It's just that the number of Tao methods is different. The Tao method I have here is the art of the cycle of life and death. Even if you are a ninety-year-old man, you can practice it. However, there is sacrifice and gain. This method is not as magnificent as other Tao methods.
It’s difficult to make it a law, and if you feel it’s inappropriate, I can let you go.”
Chong'an hurriedly said: "It is a great grace for a teacher to accept a disciple as a disciple. If the disciple is picky, wouldn't he be a villain?"
The Taoist hummed and said, "Go ahead."
Chong'an bowed and retreated. He went to the side hall to tidy up a room and came out. Seeing that everything was in place, he didn't do anything more. It was getting late, so he lay down on the bed. Although his body was
Tired, but excited in my heart.
Thinking about how I had been praying for so many years and finally got what I wanted today, I tossed and turned and couldn't sleep.
On the second day, he got up early. After washing, he originally wanted to sweep it again, but there was no dust at all, so he had to give up. When he went out, he saw a bottle of pills on the table.
He was also knowledgeable and knew that this was for cultivation and could replace regular food. After pouring it out and drinking it with water, he felt a warm feeling fill his whole body, and he felt that his whole body was filled with strength that he could not exert.
He calmed down and came to the viewing hall. When he saw the Taoist still sitting there with his back to him, he came up and saluted and said: "Disciple greets the teacher."
The Taoist hummed and said, "I will first teach you a set of formulas that can be used for sitting and lying down." As he spoke, he slowly preached.
Chong'an listened carefully and realized that this formula was relatively simple. He had learned a lot about Taoism from his visits to Taoism over the years, so he quickly memorized it.
The man said: "Before practicing, you need to do one thing."
Chong'an is not surprised either. He knows that it is not easy to transmit the Dharma. He must also work hard on his determination. Generally speaking, it is to do good deeds. He is not afraid of doing something. As long as he can transmit the Dharma, he can afford to wait and endure it.
However, what puzzled him was that the teacher did not ask him to do any of this, but only asked him to watch the rising and setting of the sun and the moon, and the movement of the stars every day.
Although he didn't understand what it meant, since it was the teacher's instructions, he followed it. However, the training took longer than he imagined. He had been practicing for a full year.
During this period, he did not ask when he could formally practice Taoism. Instead, he carefully observed the celestial phenomena every day and practiced breathing techniques. His originally chaotic mind gradually calmed down.
On this day, after watching the celestial phenomena, he was called to the main hall and saw that the Taoist was still sitting there with his back to him.
The Taoist asked: "What did you see?"
Chong'an has been watching the sky for the past year, and when he heard this, he said directly: "The movement of the sun and the moon has its own rules. The movement of the earth has longitudes and latitudes. The movement of the human body is caused by the movement of Qi through hundreds of meridians."
The Taoist said: "The way of heaven and man is nothing more than the changes of Yin and Yang in movement and stillness. Now I will teach you a 'Yin and Yang diagram of life and death'. You can use the breathing method I taught you to compare it with this diagram to visualize and adjust your breath." After saying this, he handed it over to you.
A picture scroll was placed beside the futon.
Chong'an was overjoyed, knowing that after a year's examination, the teacher was finally willing to teach him the Dharma. He said yes and stepped forward to take the scroll.
Seeing that the teacher had nothing to say, he bowed and left.
When he returned to his residence, he carefully opened the picture scroll and saw that there were countless dots and circles of different sizes on it. He was a little confused at first, but after taking a closer look, he found that these were the same as what he had seen over the past year.
The laws of heaven and earth seem to be here.
It's just that according to what I just said, there is only the order of heaven and earth, but only people are missing.
As soon as he thought this, he felt that his breath was involuntarily moving with the dots above, and he immediately understood in his heart that this missing part needed to be filled by himself, which was the mystery of it.
After he figured it out, he immediately practiced according to this picture.
At first, he needed to look at this thing all the time in order to breathe in and out. But as time went by, this picture naturally came into his mind. Even if he didn't look at the picture, he could practice it anytime and anywhere without consciously visualizing it.
After practicing like this for a while, the whole person will be full of energy, strong and strong, and the eyes will be bright. Tomorrow, only half an hour of sleep will be enough, and the remaining time will be used for practicing.
At this time, he realized that his practice had reached a bottleneck, so he found the Taoist again and said: "Teacher, this disciple has completed this diagram."
The Taoist asked, "Turn the picture over."
Chong'an was startled. He had looked at this picture many times this year. However, when he turned it around, he saw a figure he had never seen before.
The Taoist said: "Practice like this."
Shigegan said yes and took the picture back. However, he discovered that if the previous picture was to continue the blood power, then this picture was to accelerate consumption.
After practicing for a night, I became more and more tired and lethargic.
After practicing this for a year, his whole body seemed to be severely damaged. He became skinny and bones, his eye sockets were sunken, and his whole body became moribund and haggard.
He found the Taoist and said, "Teacher, is there something wrong with the practice?"
But the Taoist said: "It's not wrong, it's just right." As he said that, he slowly turned around, stretched out his finger, and touched the center of his eyebrows.
Chong'an was startled for a moment. He sat there, his eyes lost their luster, his head slowly dropped, and finally he became silent.
Zhang Yu looked calmly.
It seemed that after a long time, with a deep breath, Chong'an's muscles and blood quickly became full again, and the appearance just now disappeared. At the same time, he was panting violently, raised his head, and said with lingering fear: "
Teacher, the disciple thought that he had just..."
Zhang Yu said quietly: "You have indeed experienced life and death just now."
Every time you practice the Yin-Yang Life and Death Diagram, you will experience life and death once. After thirty-three turns, you will reach the first level; after three hundred and thirty turns, you will enter the second level; after three thousand three hundred turns, you will experience life and death.
It becomes the third level.
After completing the practice, you will definitely achieve the Dharma. However, if you fail to pass the test once, you will really die.
I am helping you this time, so you can pass the test, but in the future, you will have to rely on your own practice. Knowing this method, do you still want to practice further?"
Chong'an's eyes were firm and he said without hesitation: "Teacher treats his disciples with kindness and teaches them the superior method. How can the disciples dare to pick and choose? No matter how difficult it is, the disciples must continue to practice."
Zhang Yu looked at him for a moment and said, "Then go and practice." Chong'an said yes, bowed, and then retreated.
Zhang Yu watched him leave and withdrew his gaze.
There is no doubt that Chong'an was transformed by that ray of soul from outside. He has no intention of attacking it, because it will be cut off this time, and there will be another time. Since he will find it this time, he might as well let it be there at any time.
You can pay attention. At the same time, he also wants to try to convert other people to Tianxia's side.
Even though the soul can wander outside, it does not become the soul. After all, it still needs to be attached to the physical body. The reason behind this is that it relies on the upper realm soul to become the master and finally realize the original.
And what he wants to do is to reverse this. If the physical body is strong enough, it can in turn suppress the divine soul, so that the divine soul takes a secondary position and turns against the original master. If everything goes well, Chong'an can control the divine soul.
Incorporate it into your body and make it your own cultivation material.
In this way, he is Chong'an, not the person who originally entrusted the soul.
What he told Chong'an was not a lie. Life and death once, it's a cycle.
Chong'an has already gone through hundreds of millions of reincarnations. Only a little bit of true knowledge is immortal, but it has been polished to an extremely weak level. Now I have had more than three thousand reincarnations for nothing, and it is still a refinement of spiritual practice. It is the final step.
Without changing the position of host and guest, it is enough to smooth out the original marks and become a pure Tianxia monk.
Only when Chong'an returned to the room did he understand. This technique is about the cycle of life and death once a year. It would take more than three thousand years to complete without making any mistakes. However, this technique can at least be seen to the end.
To be honest, there is no guarantee that he will be able to succeed if he practices other techniques. He can only do his best to practice them.
