Chapter 78: Merit

"White lotus descending from heaven?"

Zhang Yutang smiled slightly after hearing this:

"Although it sounds a little strange, it must have some effect, otherwise no one would believe it."

After Abao talked some more with Zhang Yutang, he retreated and continued to clean up the old courtyard. Many places in the courtyard were damaged and needed to be tidied up.

Zhang Yutang originally came to live in seclusion and practice, and did not want to be disturbed by the world. Li Yong, A Bao, and Xu Jiaorong did not dare to ask others to help clean up, so they had to do it themselves and slowly level it.

Fortunately, apart from the three of them, every evening, Zhang Yutang would do what he did, using the method of drawing talismans, to conjure up twelve Taoist soldiers to help clean up.

Tao soldiers are also called talisman soldiers, which are a kind of Tao talismans and can be drawn into talismans as soldiers.

These talisman soldiers have little power, but they can help organize things in the house.

After a few days of rest, the plaque of the former Prince Liang's Mansion was replaced by Zhang's Mansion. The courtyard was clean and flat, with gurgling water, and a lot of vitality was restored.

In the past few days, Zhang Yutang stayed at home. Apart from drawing talismans and practicing swordsmanship, he practiced his magical powers every day, leaving all other things behind.

"Li Yong, Abao, Miss Xu, you all come here."

After Zhang Yutang absorbed the purple energy from the east early in the morning, he said:

"I have something to tell you."

Hearing this, three people came over one after another:

"Master, what's the matter?"

"That's right."

Zhang Yutang sorted out his thoughts a little:

"By chance, I received the inheritance from my mentor, Taoist Master Tian, and was able to practice the way of immortality. However, these are the master's secret methods and cannot be passed on to others without the master's permission."

"However, apart from that, I once went through a qi refining method in a ** true scripture, and in the end, I was able to ask for immortality."

"You have followed me for so long, and you have been loyal and hardworking. Today I will teach you this true scripture."

"The secret to immortality?"

Li Yong's voice was trembling:

"Is it the kind of method that allows you to practice like a god?"

"Um"

Zhang Yutang smiled and nodded:

"According to what the book says, you can ascend in Xiaju."

With a plop, Li Yong knelt on the ground:

"Thank you, Master, for your kindness."

"You don't have to be like this. You are all mine. When you become stronger, I also become stronger."

Zhang Yutang reached out and helped Li Yong up:

"There is no rule of kneeling and kowtowing in front of me. From now on, this rule will be abolished. If you want to say anything, I will say it seriously. If a man has gold under his knees, how can he kneel down just because he wants to?"

Asking the three of them to stand aside, Zhang Yutang spoke loudly:

"**The True Sutra consists of two chapters, namely, the Yang Yang Chapter and the Yin Yang Chapter. The Yang Yang Chapter mainly talks about how to increase one's Yang Qi and thereby strengthen oneself. The Yang Yin Chapter mainly talks about how to cultivate one's Yuan Yin.

, thereby nourishing and strengthening the body.”

"In the Yang Yang chapter, you can increase your own Yang energy mainly by absorbing the purple energy from the east and breathing in the dragons from the southeast. In the Yang Yin chapter, the method of nourishing your own Yuan Yin is to lift the anus, tighten the abdomen, and breath in the moonlight.

The Dharma Door."

Li Yong, A Bao, and Xu Jiaorong, regardless of whether they understood the teachings of the Buddhist scriptures, clearly explained them one by one. They forced themselves to write them down first and ponder them slowly.

After the Jinshan Sutra was passed on to three people, they practiced in Zhang's Mansion every day and never went out unless it was for daily necessities for duty. And every time they went out, Abao could always hear about the reputation of Jinshan Temple from outside.

The reputation of Jinshan Temple is in full swing and growing day by day.

The autumn sun hangs high in the sky, still emitting a blazing flame like summer, scorching an official road leading to Jinshan Temple.

The official road is not wide. When the wind blows, yellow dust dances with the wind and falls on pedestrians, making it sticky and making people feel very uncomfortable.

Far away from the official road, there was a square-looking young man pushing a wheelbarrow, slowly coming here at a steady and moderate speed without any bumps.

There was an old lady sitting on the wheelbarrow. Her gray hair was tightly held by a hairpin, lying on the top of her head. The skin on her face was as loose as an ancient tree, shrinking into one piece.

"Mother, the white lotus descending from the sky at Jinshan Temple is probably just a rumor. There is no such good thing in the world. As long as you sit on the white lotus, you can become an immortal. Then becoming an immortal is too simple. It is simply child's play."

The young man was pushing the wheelbarrow while talking to the old lady who was mumbling something in the car:

"Why don't we go back and travel dozens of miles to join in the fun?"

"Bah, bah, bah!"

After hearing this, the old lady immediately stopped talking, opened her mouth and pouted three times to the ground, then opened her cloudy eyes and said enthusiastically:

"What do you know? I have heard people say that only good people who are devout in their hearts and have paid respect to the Buddha for many years can sit on the white lotus and fly to the sky. Ordinary people have no chance at all, and they cannot even see it.

Go to the White Lotus."

"But I am different. I have worshiped the Buddha for more than thirty years, and I dare not even forget it for a day. I always keep the Buddha in my heart and on my lips. I am most pious. I will go to Jinshan Temple to seek Zen Master Wu Neng.

I will definitely be able to see the white lotus and fly to the sky."

"Then you, old man, really have the heart to leave your son alone and go and become an immortal by yourself. What's the point?"

The young man said:

"Besides, this matter is rumored to be very mysterious. I think there must be some shady activities involved. If it is really a treasure of the gods, how could it be revealed in the rolling dust of the world."

"How could I leave you alone?"

The old lady grinned:

"When I become an immortal, I will come back to save you. Don't you know that only when a person attains the Tao, chickens and dogs ascend to heaven, and can enter the Tao, can he escape from the suffering of reincarnation and gain great freedom and great joy."

"Besides, the white lotus appears in the world. It is the mercy of the Buddha who comes to save those who are destined to be saved."

The young man knew that his mother was very stubborn and even ten oxen could not pull her back from something she was determined to do, unless she broke through the south wall and had a chance to turn back.

Sometimes, the old lady becomes stubborn and will not look back at all. She will continue to walk even after breaking through the south wall.

Soon, the two of them arrived at Jinshan Temple. Jinshan Temple was magnificently built, with tall Buddha statues, filled with incense, and seemed peaceful and solemn.

"The donor must have come from afar for the holy lotus sent from heaven."

At the entrance of Jinshan Temple, a young novice monk came over with a smile and stopped the two of them:

"It's just that Zen Master Wu Neng, the abbot of my home, said that only those who are devout to the Buddha can enter."

"Many of the golden statues of the Buddha in this temple have been in disrepair for many years. They are so miserable and miserable. It really makes me and other Buddhist disciples couldn't help but shed tears when we saw them."

The young man sneered in his heart. He had already seen a large merit box next to him. The merit box was shining with silver. It was estimated that there were several thousand taels of silver at least, or even more.

"If you want to be pious, what can be considered pious? The more you do meritorious deeds, the more pious you will be. And doing meritorious deeds is nothing more than donating money."

"Donate all the money you brought. In order to build a golden body for Buddha, I am willing to sell my old bones."

"Mother, how can this be done?"
