[138] Huge Monster Cat

Looking at the temple in front of him, Tuvia could not describe its appearance. It was not as dilapidated as he thought, and the patterns carved on the sacred pillar standing at the door were still very clear.

It depicts the life story of the owner of this temple, Sedes. Tuvia has never heard of this man, but the mural above tells the story of how he led the residents here to build wells to draw out water.

.

Moreover, there are some simple text introductions next to it.

The patterns are vivid and lifelike. It seems to take people who see it back to the feeling of that era.

The image of the character is very vivid and lively. The people around him worshiped the man standing on the high platform with admiring eyes. Tuvia walked in and took a closer look.

Horus glanced at her worriedly. He felt that after coming here, some of his precognitive abilities had almost disappeared. He wanted to use his divine power to see what happened in this temple more than ten years ago.

But he found in vain that his efforts were in vain.

At this time, Tuvia's eyes were staring at the divine pillars and the patterns on the arches in a daze, and she did not notice Horus' expression.

After looking carefully, Tuvia was surprised to find a feature. The carving technique of the pattern here is almost the same as the pattern in the Temple of Amon.

"What did you find?" Horus looked at her and asked, his body unconsciously moving closer to her, keeping this woman within his reach.

"Let's go in first and talk about it." Tuvia's eyes were full of energy, and she had a strong feeling that there must be some major discovery waiting for her inside.

They passed through the tall arch at the door, and inside was a corridor about twenty meters long. The walls on both sides were carved with different patterns, most of which told stories about sacrificial rituals and great harvests.

This is used to praise all the deeds of the god Sedes. Tuvia feels that the responsibility of this god seems to be equivalent to the meaning of the Rain God or Dragon King in Chinese Taoism.

They all use water to induce rainfall to relieve the drought-stricken land.

Walking to the end of the corridor, an open-air courtyard appeared, with some trees, flowers and plants planted in it. Tuvia looked around and found nothing suspicious.

There are four houses along the courtyard. The doors inside are closed, and two of them have thick iron locks. The chains are already rusty. It seems that no one has been here for a long time.

"Creak>...Creak..." The two of them walked into the courtyard. The rotten leaves accumulated over the years under their feet, together with the newly fallen leaves, made sounds from time to time according to the strength of their feet.

It is particularly jarring in such a secluded courtyard.

Tuvia looked around very cautiously, and suddenly there was a heat in her palm. She looked down and saw that it was Horus who was holding her right palm tightly.

As if to reassure her, she felt Horus's hand tighten a little.

Although she was not frightened by the situation in front of her, such a touch of tenderness did make her feel at ease.

"What did you just find outside the door?" In order to divert the two people's thoughts, Horus asked what Tuvia found outside the door.

"I just discovered that the murals at the door and in the corridor are very similar to the pictures on the walls of the Temple of Amun. I suspect..."

Just when Tuvia was about to tell her what she had discovered, there was a sudden noise in the room on the left. It seemed like something was being thrown on the ground.

The appearance of such a voice made the two people who had originally relaxed their vigilance suddenly raise their minds. They looked towards the window of the room at the same time.

Since the doors and windows were closed, they couldn't see anything.

"You stand here and don't move. I'll go over and open the chain." After Horus finished explaining, he walked towards the room over there without waiting for Tuvia to reply.

Tuvia stood there and looked at him. The corner of his eyes did not miss any corner around him.

Horus reached out and picked up the thick locked chain, and with a little force, the chain suddenly broke in his hand.

With a "bang" sound, Horus kicked open the door that had been dusty for a long time.

There was a hint of smile in Tuvia's indifferent moment. She didn't expect that there would be such a guy in Egypt who didn't take the gods seriously.

His behavior in this capital city, which embraces the sun god, is simply a serious crime of contempt for the gods.

Horus retreated to Tuvia's side the moment the door opened. He looked at the dust rising from the inside out with disgust.

After a while, the smell of damp and decaying moisture spread throughout the entire courtyard.

Tuvia took out two silk handkerchiefs, tied one on her face, and then threw one to Horus.

She took the lead and walked towards the door. When she just stepped into the house, a huge black shadow suddenly jumped out of the room.

Tuvia was unable to dodge, and was about to collide with it. Horus, with quick eyesight and quick hands, flew over and held Tuvia tightly in his arms, quickly dodging the black shadow's attack.

When Tuvia saw that she had been rescued, her eyes immediately returned to calmness. She stretched out her hand and quickly shot a plum blossom-shaped dart towards the black figure.

"aim…….."

A cry of pain similar to a cat's meow was heard immediately. It originally planned to run away, but Tuvia's darts were smeared with poison made from long-capsulated jute fruits.

So the giant creature didn't escape far before it collapsed on the steps of the corridor leading outside.

"Come over and take a look." Tuvia and Horus looked at each other, and the two quickly came to the guy's side.

Arriving in front of it, Tuvia was sure that this guy was indeed a huge cat. Its body was very strong and huge. If it hadn't meowed just now, Tuvia would have thought that she had met a tiger.

.

But the pattern on its body is not in the shape of a tiger. It has gray hair all over its body, and the alternating dark gray and light gray stripes are the entire color of its body.

And the hair is not very smooth, it looks like it has been in this place for a long time.

"A huge tabby cat? Haha, such a strange thing happened to us. Tuvia, how did it get locked in that room? How did it survive?"

After listening to Horus's analysis, Tuvia also had doubts.

"It's already dead, let's go in and take a look first."

After saying that, she stood up and walked towards the house. Horus glanced at her worriedly, fearing that some strange guy would pop up just as she walked in.

He followed closely. This time Tuvia walked into the inner room smoothly. However, an extremely sinister smell inside stimulated both of their senses.

Even though they were all wearing a clean silk brocade at this time, there seemed to be no way to stop this pungent mold.
