Chapter 91: Heavenly City Sword Sect

The mist that diffused among the towering mountains dispersed, and the land of Tiancheng Sword Sect's mountain gate slowly appeared in front of the motorcade.

Qin Yun will never forget the shock he saw at first sight!

The first thing that catches the eye is a majestic mountain peak standing proudly between heaven and earth. The top of the mountain seems to have been chopped off with a sword, creating a huge mountain top platform.

There are many buildings on the platform, countless Qiongtai pavilions, clouds and mist surrounding it, cranes and birds flying, and a waterfall like the Milky Way hanging upside down down a hundred-foot deep valley. From a distance, it looks like a fairyland!

This is the Tiancheng Sword Sect, the Tiancheng Mountain Gate that ranks among the top ten sects in the vast nine states, a gathering place for countless innate, transforming, and magical powerhouses, and the inheritance of the supreme and majestic swordsmanship!

It is so majestic, proud and great that it is worthy of being the holy land longed for by warrior swordsmen of Kyushu.

What is even more amazing is that among the continuous mountains in the south, north and west directions, there are five peaks called the five subsidiary peaks of Mount Tiancheng!

Catch the sky, chase the clouds, the blue moon, the setting clouds, and listen to the peaks of the waves!

They are like five raised fingers guarding the main peak of Tiancheng in the middle. They are so majestic and steep that one has to admire the uncanny craftsmanship of nature.

Each sub-peak has a veteran peak master of the Sword Sect sitting in charge, with major annexes under it, and caves dug to accommodate thousands of disciples!

Under the main peak of Tiancheng, between the five auxiliary peaks, there is also a mountain city that can be called huge in scale.

High-rise buildings are built according to the mountain tops, layer upon layer but in an orderly manner, spreading from top to bottom from the foot of the main peak to the open area outside the canyon. There is no city wall in sight and only one avenue leading to the east.

Xuanwu City, the famous majestic city of Yanyun!

It is said that the predecessor of Xuanwu City was just a village where the disciples and relatives of Jian Zong lived together. However, with the rise of Jian Zong and the increase of disciples, the original town continued to expand and took thousands of years of development to reach its current scale.

The few plains outside the city and the surrounding hills and mountains have been opened up into farm terraces. A large river originating from the mountains flows from the west, and you can faintly see the lakes in the distance.

This city hidden in the mountains has a population of hundreds of thousands. It shelters the Tiancheng Sword Sect and is extremely prosperous. Many people have lived and worked here for generations, and it has become a kingdom-like existence!

"If possible, I would also like to settle in Dadi City, but unfortunately it is too difficult!"

The accompanying warrior who followed Qin Yun's carriage sighed and said: "I heard that only the inner disciples of the Sword Sect are eligible to apply for relatives to move into the city, and the number of places is limited to five at most."

This family warrior's surname is Xiao. He is a middle-aged man in his forties. His strength does not reach the third level of Qi Refining. However, this is the fifth time he has escorted the Qin family's children to the Tiancheng Sword Sect, so he is relatively familiar with the Sword Sect's situation.

Along the way, Qin Yun learned a lot about the Tiancheng Sword Sect from his mouth.

The convoy went straight to Xuanwu City along the avenue, but stopped outside the city because the next thing was taken over by people sent by the Sword Sect.

Tiancheng Sword Sect has been a sect for thousands of years and has its own set of strict sect rules. They did not send many people to greet them, but everything was arranged in an orderly manner.

Special persons were responsible for registering and receiving the gifts offered by each family. The children of each family were taken away in batches after being named. The accompanying warriors and servants were arranged to rest at the inn outside the city and return to Qianchao tomorrow.

Only Qin Yun is an exception.

He was taken away alone by the young woman named Mu who was the envoy of the Sword Sect, and went to Zhuiyun Peak to meet Qingyunzi.

Zhuiyun Peak is located in the southwest of the main peak of Tiancheng. If the five auxiliary peaks are regarded as the five fingers of the right palm, then Zhuiyun Peak is exactly the ring finger.

Seen from a distance, most of this towering mountain peak is shrouded in white mist, making it look shadowy and arrogant, giving it a unique charm.

There is only a winding mountain road from outside Xuanwu City to Zhuiyun Peak. It doesn't seem that far away, but in fact it is about twenty miles away.

Fortunately, neither the young woman surnamed Mu nor Qin Yun were ordinary people, especially the young woman surnamed Mu, who swayed slightly at the waist and fluttered her skirt, taking more than ten steps away between breaths.

Qin Yun had to use Thousand Miles of Divine Movement to catch up with the opponent without being left behind.

This young woman surnamed Mu is a nice person and has a good impression of Qin Yun. She even slowed down and walked side by side with him during the journey, introducing him to some basic information about the Tiancheng Sword Sect.

As a member of the Sword Sect, what the young woman surnamed Mu said was undoubtedly much more detailed and accurate than that of Qin Yun's accompanying warrior.

As one of the ten largest sects in Kyushu, Tiancheng Sword Sect has more than 50,000 disciples in both the inner and outer sects. There are more than 3,000 new disciples like Qin Yun every three years.

Unless there are special circumstances, newcomers generally start as outer disciples. If they are talented enough and work hard enough, they can officially become inner disciples.

The inner disciples are further divided into registered disciples, honored disciples, true disciples and head disciples. Their status and treatment are very different.

The Qingyunzi whom Qin Yun wanted to meet was one of the seven elders under the leadership of Zhuiyun Peak.

Qingyunzi is in charge of Qingyun Villa, and has hundreds of disciples and grandsons, but there are only twelve true disciples and thirty-seven ceremonial disciples.

Even if Qin Yun had a letter of recommendation from the ancestor of the Qin family, it was impossible for him to directly worship Qingyunzi. He should designate a true disciple or a gifted disciple as his teacher, starting with the named disciples of the outer sect.

"Although you are an outer sect disciple, having a master is much better than ordinary outer sect disciples. I believe that with your talent, it will not be a problem to officially become a master and enter the inner sect." The young woman surnamed Mu finally said.

"Thank you, Master, for your advice!" Qin Yun said gratefully, "Have you asked your teacher for your name yet?"

While they were talking, the two of them had already arrived at the foot of Zhuiyun Peak Mountain.

The young woman surnamed Mu stopped and smiled sweetly: "Little guy, my name is Mu Fangting, but in the future, you have to remember the names of your elders and you can't ask random questions!"

Qin Yun couldn't help but blush, but the young woman surnamed Mu didn't care and took him directly to Fengling.

The mountain road leading to the peak is paved with blue and gray stones, each block is square and neat, and when you look up, you can see that there are countless levels of dense stones.

The surrounding environment at the foot of Zhuiyunfeng Mountain is also very good, with greenery and gurgling streams, and farmhouses and cultivated acres can be vaguely seen.

Going up the stone steps, you can see huts and courtyards hidden in the woods on both sides of the road, and you can vaguely hear the sound of weapons clashing.

Mu Fangting told Qin Yun that these courtyards were the residences of the inner disciples, and the higher the status, the higher the place they lived.

On the way up the mountain, there were also young swordsmen in flowing white clothes coming down from the mountain. When they saw Mu Fangting, they would bow and salute, and they were probably curious about Qin Yun.

After climbing thousands of stone steps, almost near the top of the peak, a majestic and magnificent building complex built against the mountain suddenly appeared in front of the two of them.

"This is Zhuiyun Palace, the residence and meeting place of the seventh elder Zhuiyun..." Mu Fangting introduced: "I will take you to see Master Uncle Qingyunzi!"

There were two tough warriors guarding the Zhuiyun Palace. Mu Fangting obtained permission to enter after showing a nameplate.

She was obviously very familiar with the situation inside. She led Qin Yun around left and right, walked through the long corridor, and came to a courtyard surrounded by osmanthus trees.

It is already October, and the sweet-scented osmanthus trees in Qianchao City have long since failed, but the sweet-scented osmanthus here is in full bloom, with orange, white, and lavender stamens dotted among the ink leaves, and its elegant fragrance spreads everywhere.

.

An old man with white hair and gray robe was practicing sword skills in the middle of the courtyard.

He is a thin man with a rosy face, a high nose, white eyebrows and a long beard. He has a pair of narrow eyes with a sparkle in his eyes. He holds a wooden sword in his hand.

The old man in gray robe is more like dancing with a sword than practicing sword practice, and the moves are performed extremely slowly.

But the dozens of men and women standing in every corner of the courtyard were so focused that they could hear the sound of sweet-scented osmanthus falling to the ground.

Mu Fangting did not dare to make any mistakes and signaled Qin Yun to wait quietly outside.

After demonstrating a move, the old man in gray robe put away his wooden sword and said in a deep voice: "You guys come in."

His voice was clear and calm, yet it carried an unquestionable dignity.

Mu Fangting quickly led Qin Yun into the courtyard, bowed her knees and saluted: "Master Luoxiafeng's nephew Mu Fangting has met Master Qingyun!"

The old man in gray robe nodded, his eyes falling on Qin Yun: "Are you Qin Yun?"

He obviously already knew what happened.

Qin Yun immediately knelt down and saluted: "Disciple Qin Yun pays homage to Patriarch Qingyun!"

Without Mu Fangting's previous reminder, he really didn't know how to address the other person. Now it was definitely correct to call him Patriarch, and he could also determine his title.

"Disciple, hey..."

A faint smile appeared at the corner of Qingyunzi's mouth, and he gently waved his sleeves and sent out a soft force to lift Qin Yun and Mu Fangting at the same time.

"Where is your ancestor's letter?"

Qin Yun immediately took out the treasured letter. Qing Yunzi reached out and grabbed it in the air, taking the letter into his hand from a few feet away.

He opened the envelope and took out the letter paper and read it again, a trace of sadness flashed in his eyes: "The road is ruthless, I didn't expect this old guy to take one step ahead of me!"

However, this sadness was fleeting. Qing Yunzi put his hands together and the letter immediately disappeared into ashes.

"Forget it!" He turned to look at the disciples standing nearby: "Which one of you is willing to accept Qin Yun as your disciple?"

Everyone looked at each other, but no one spoke immediately.

Isn't anyone willing?

Looking at their expressions, Qin Yun, who was still full of expectations, couldn't help but feel a chill in his heart.

This situation was something he had never thought of beforehand.

But soon a young woman in a green dress stood up, saluted Qingyunzi and said: "Master, I remember that Junior Sister Wan Ning has no suitable disciples under her sect, so why not let Qin Yun be her registered disciple first?"

This young woman in a green dress was in her thirties, and she was quite pretty. However, her thin lips, pointed jaw, and slender eyes revealed a somewhat mean look, and her sharp voice made people uncomfortable.
