Chapter 20 Hexagonal Square

There was a faint sound in the depths, as if some living thing was escaping. The sound of flesh crushing against glass fragments was subtle and very clear.

Tang Rou realized that she shouldn't move forward, so she stopped and quietly leaned her body against the wall to minimize her presence.

Floating water and reflections were projected on the ground. Tang Rou raised her head and saw many researchers in silver uniforms floating behind a giant glass body that was more than ten meters high at the corner.

Their bodies were soaked in the dark blue sea water. Some of them were intact, some were badly damaged, some had their internal organs broken out of their bodies, and their long intestines were floating around the bodies like a streamer.

Tang Rou covered her mouth to suppress her surging stomach acid.

She carefully hid her figure, as there were many unknown dangers lingering in the darkness.

Unexpectedly, the phone rang again. Tang Rou clicked the answer button in an instant, holding her watch to her ear, fearing that something would hear the sharp ringtone.

Aslan's voice came, faintly trembling, and one could imagine that she was facing some kind of fear, "Where are you now?"

Tang Rou held her breath and gently tapped the microphone.

Hearing those two light touches of fingertips, Aslan's voice became even more panicked, "Are you in Area S? Rou, get out of here quickly!"

She tapped the receiver again to express her doubts.

"Many people died...all the cabins in area S were broken, and the experimental subjects fled en masse!"

Needless to say, Aslan had already seen it.

Because there are corpses.

Broken corpse.

The battered corpse.

A horrified corpse was revealed.

Asselan's voice was suppressed, and he could imagine that she was about to cry, "Rou, I was wrong, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have let you come... I didn't expect that things would suddenly turn out like this, it's terrible."

Tang Rou covered her mouth and asked in a breathy voice, "Where are you? Don't worry, I'm fine now."

The other party seemed to be calming his breathing, and then said, "I am safe for the time being. I have a team of security personnel at hand, but a few of our people have died here. The smell of blood seems to attract them, so we are ready to move our positions. We are here in the Hexagonal Square

, you must not come here, there are many out-of-control experimental subjects here."

"Hexagonal Square?" Tang Rou was stunned, "Where is that?"

"A place you have never been in before is in Area S. Don't come here. If you can find a chance to leave, leave as soon as possible."

"But on the 17th..."

"Leave him alone, he is strong, he will survive, but you will die!"

Tang Rou nodded and was about to agree when she suddenly noticed a huge shadow on the ground in front of her. A chill creeped up her back inch by inch, and she slowly looked up...

A huge and ferocious gray-brown creature with spider-like arthropod legs was hanging upside down above her head. It had no head and six weird eyes embedded in the middle of its waist and abdomen, looking straight at her.

The moment he looked at Tang Rou, a gap opened in his head and chest, revealing his sinister fangs and bloody mouth, like an extremely bloody smile.

In an instant, Tang Rou's alarm clock sounded.

Her whole body tensed up, and she turned around and ran away. The giant creature also moved its long and hard jointed limbs in hot pursuit.

"Da da da da da..."

The sound of the hard carapace hitting the ground was clear and dense, and every sound struck Tang Rou's heart.

Human legs were incomparable to those of eight-legged arthropods. Soon, Tang Rou felt that her heartbeat was getting stronger and stronger, her breathing was uneven, and the excessive exertion of energy made her legs feel as heavy as lead.

The escape route was maliciously blocked with broken metal door panels, and the door to Area S was also occupied by a weird and huge figure. She was forced to find other survival routes.

But the sound of running footsteps not only attracted spiders, but also seemed to attract something else.

Tang Rou ran around the corner, gritted her teeth and threw her shoes into the distance. The sound of the heels hitting the ground attracted the following creatures, and they suddenly ran in that direction. Tang Rou took the opportunity to turn around and run away.

The sound of footsteps was indeed much quieter after taking off the shoes, but the fragile human skin was instantly punctured when stepped on the glass shards, and there was a sharp pain in the soles of the feet, and the flesh was dripping with blood.

Tang Rou felt like she was bleeding a lot, and her lower body from the feet up was getting colder inch by inch.

However, she didn't have the energy to care about this. She managed to avoid the sea spider, and when she thought she could finally breathe a sigh of relief, she suddenly saw a huge creature several meters high, walking towards her like a moving hill.

Its speed was much slower than that of the sea spider, but its huge size could take Tang Rou many steps with one step. She exhausted herself to avoid this monster and continued to look for a way to survive.

The pain stimulated her nerves, and the will to survive drove the secretion of adrenaline, making her dare not stop.

Tang Rou wanted to leave Area S, but found in despair that she had lost her sense of direction during her escape.

Animals rely on magnetic fields and sense of smell for direction, and humans rely on the brain for direction.

However, her thinking seemed to be disturbed by something, it was a mess and she couldn't find a way.

Somewhere in the dark, there seemed to be some force guiding her, causing Tang Rou, who was spinning around like a headless fly, to run towards this long and dark corridor. After passing through the damaged metal mesh and several thick solid gates, the environment suddenly became brighter.

A lot.

Tang Rou ran for who knows how long. She slowly came to her senses, raised her head, and found herself in an open air space.

The sky above was covered with thick clouds, and lightning seemed to be passing through the gaps, illuminating the earth.

She didn't know where she was, but she saw a huge field in front of her, as wide as dozens of football fields, with no edges visible at a glance.

Dark clouds hung heavily in the sky, and soon, the sound of pattering rain began.

Tang Rou walked absentmindedly and found a thick and tall wall standing on the edge of the open space. She slowly looked around and sketched a pattern in her mind.

hexagon.

This is the hexagonal square that Atherland told her not to come here.

"Click——"

A bolt of thunder flashed across the sky, suddenly illuminating the wide square.

The stark white light outlined each of the twisted or weird huge creatures in the square, illuminating their terrifying faces clearly.

Tang Rou covered her mouth and crawled on the ground cautiously. The rainwater slid down the hair on her forehead and poured into her eyes, blurring her vision.

Her wrist-worn mobile phone had already been wet by the rain and was no longer moving. It was covered with cracks. Now Tang Rou couldn't even contact Aslan.

There is a huge glass body in the center of the square, dozens of meters high. The giant glass occupies half of Tang Rou's sight, like a transparent cage in a science fiction movie that holds some kind of alien behemoth.

At this time, it looked so solemn, like a huge and silent landmark in the square, overlooking the absurd land with an expressionless face.
