Chapter 247 Incubation

"Rou, this is the rabbit I raised."

Before a storm comes, the air is always quiet and depressing.

The young man enthusiastically pulled Tang Rou to the garden and showed her the pasture he used to raise rabbits.

Tang Rou couldn't see them, so he softly described the appearance of those rabbits.

There were countless rabbits, all of the same species he had seen with Tang Rou in the pet shop the day he first came out of the Tower of Babel.

The entire pasture is of such a single species, even the flowers and colors are exactly the same.

"This side is grass."

He began to share his little bits and pieces, "They eat grass, which is brought in from outside. Grass does not grow here. They also eat meat occasionally."

Tang Rou was distracted and felt a cold feeling coming from her back.

It was like being stared at by a pair of malicious eyes.

Her thoughts were quickly pulled back. Lucifer took her to the next room. Even though Tang Rou couldn't see anything, he introduced her carefully, "Rou, touch it. Here is the candy."

Tang Rou touched the packaging bag. It was full and firmly filled.

He stocked up a room full of candies and fruit candies.

The young man tore open the bag and fed her one. Tang Rou narrowed her eyes. It was the kind she often bought for them.

He had a lot to say, so much that he wished he could describe to her every moment of the days when he was separated from her, as if this could fill the pain in his heart.

But as I kept talking, I found that what I talked about was very trivial and boring and monotonous.

Suddenly I became nervous and looked into her eyes, fearing that she would be impatient or unhappy.

But no, she listened very carefully.

Tang Rou walked out of the house and asked him, "Why do you raise so many rabbits?"

The young man's heart became so full that it ached.

He couldn't bear it anymore, so he reached out and took her hand from behind, slipping his fingers through hers, "Because Rou said, they look like me."

it is true.

She is real in the palm of my hand.

It's not his imagination.

An abnormal flush appeared on the young man's pale cheeks, and his eyes were full of morbid love.

But this brief moment of beautiful silence was instantly broken by screams.

"Help--"

Someone yelled in pain and rushed towards the pasture.

Behind her, there was another person wearing a maid uniform, who fell headfirst on the ground, with the corner of his mouth torn off. A deformed creature with vaguely white fur was dragging countless ferocious curly strips of flesh like calyxes.

Drilling down her throat/

Tang Rou heard the cries but couldn't see anything.

"what happened?"

She listened to the sounds outside and felt something was wrong.

There were commotions in the distance, people were calling for help, people were running around, and even gunshots were heard.

Screams, gunshots, roars and reprimands. All the sounds mixed together, deafening.

Tang Rou immediately pulled the boy back to the room where the candies had been stored, closed the door, tightened the lock on the handle, and squatted down.

Lucifer stood by the glass window and looked out expressionlessly.

A woman was lying in a flowerbed three meters away, her body undergoing strange changes.

Her belly swelled upwards, bursting through the black and white maid uniform, and the fabric tore in the middle, exposing her belly.

Numerous strange bumps appeared on the delicate, hairless skin of human beings, as if something ferocious was about to crawl out. Her face also looked changed. Her skin was as sticky and soft as asphalt.

The neck dripped downward, revealing bright red flesh and blood.

The young man just looked at it expressionlessly.

Watching the woman's skin being completely torn, strange-shaped flesh-pink objects hatched from her abdominal cavity, with teeth and claws spread out, it was ugly and disgusting.

Tang Rou couldn't see it and frowned anxiously.

The crying outside disappeared and turned into a strange hoarse cry.

"What happened?" she asked again.

"Someone seems to be feeling uncomfortable."

Tang Rou frowned even more, "Do you need help?"

The woman lost her breath, and the ugly thing was gnawing at her gradually cold body to replenish nutrients.

It seems to be completely dead.

Sea Rabbit tilted his head and thought for a moment, "It shouldn't be necessary."

Tang Rou stood up, but he grabbed her shoulder.

"Rou." The young man's low and moist voice had a strange cold feeling, like a pool of ice spring emitting cold air behind him, "Don't go out yet, you won't want to go out."

Tang Rou stopped.

"What the hell is going on out there?"

The young man said nothing, and the bloodthirsty bloodline appeared in his light brown eyes.

He raised his hand and waved two fingers. The green-gray sea snake mutant creature hovered outside the house silently like a sculpture. In an instant, it shot out like two gray lightning bolts. Its ferocious snake tail wrapped around the deformities on the grass one after another.

Mutated, a mutated rabbit with bloody and ugly mouthparts like a calyx, running around.

It turned into puddles of debris mixed with white hair.

Lucifer remained expressionless and did not tell Tang Rou what happened.

She had petted those rabbits ten minutes ago.

He was very angry, watching helplessly as the rabbit he had raised for so long, which Tang Rou had said was like his, was destroyed in this way and turned into a breeding ground for ugly creatures.

Unforgivable.

Tang Rou noticed that the boy next to her was shaking and held his hand, "Rabbit, are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Lucifer finally came to his senses and lowered his eyes to look at his owner.

She could not see, her face was pale, and her body temperature had become warm.

She must be scared.

Will I hate rabbits from now on?

"Rou." The young man hugged her and murmured to himself, "I only have you."

Tang Rou didn't know why and patted him on the shoulder.

Suddenly there were several heavy gunshots outside the door.

The smell of gunpowder smoke came from the crack in the door, along with the sound of footsteps.

Tang Rou's senses were much sharper than before, and she could hear that the footsteps contained the sound of iron scraping against the ground.

She knew that some kind of armed and explosion-proof protective shoes would have steel bars and iron pieces inlaid on the soles to make them non-slip and wear-resistant, while increasing the safety factor.

Why are there armed men here?

"Professor!" There was an astonished voice from behind the door, "Are those twin sea snakes? They are really alive!"

Tang Rou noticed that the hand holding her tightened.

The twin cleft-chinned sea snakes appear to be the two twin mutated sea snakes.

"Deploy a roundup, call the Mobile Task Force, and try to capture them alive."

A harsh roar came from outside the door, and the strong air flow hit the glass and door panels, making an unsettling trembling sound.

Tang Rou pulled the young man down and hid behind the shelves with him. The young man raised his hands to cover her ears, staring outside with a pair of scarlet and cold eyes.

The dazzling firelight and the roaring smoke of hot weapons kept lighting up the pasture, destroying everything he had carefully built into ruins.

With a bang, the fragile door panel fell down.

I don't know who poked his head out first and saw their figures.

"Professor! There is someone here!"

A beeping sound.

Some kind of instrument makes a distant scanning sound.

"One has a body temperature of 34 degrees, which is normal and low, and the other has a body temperature of 27 degrees... Professor! There are alien creatures here!"
