Volume II Guashan Wind and Cloud Chapter 143 The Remnants of the Other Shore

"What good ideas does the prince have for these three competitions?"

"Of course there is. Your Majesty's talent and strategy have long been predicted by others. I will take part in the martial arts competition. In my early years, I studied in the Vajra Gate of the Buddha Kingdom and learned the superior martial arts Nine-Yang Vajra Kung Fu. Now I am a master of the Dzogchen Realm of Hardness and Softness.

In terms of cultivation, unless one is in the realm of enlightenment, no one can be my opponent. As for Buddhism, it is compared to Master Miaofa, Wangye Keqing. His Buddhist teachings are so profound that even the abbot of Guoan Temple in the capital cannot argue with him.

Master, he is also a master of zazen. He once zazen for seventy-seven forty-nine days, no matter how windy or rainy he was, his mind was not moved. Master Miaofa and I will be able to help the prince obtain the true water of Yangquan. Master Miaofa, this time

Thank you for your hard work!"

"Haha, I am the prince's guest, so naturally I have to serve the prince, Amitabha!" A strong and powerful voice came out, and it was obvious that this was Master Miaofa.

"In addition to me and Master Miaofa, the prince has also specially collected a shocking scripture for us to bring to him, and find an opportunity to give it to the abbot of Shenzen Temple, so as to win his favor!"

"Oh, what kind of scripture is it?" Master Miaofa asked.

"The Other Shore Sutra!"

"What?" Master Miaofa's voice rose an octave, obviously horrified: "Buddhism pays attention to salvation, the next life, and merits and positive results. According to legend, this 'other shore' is the land of bliss mentioned by Buddhism, and the other shore sutra is said to have been passed down from a thousand

Four hundred years ago, an old Zen monk spent more than sixty years to understand this sutra. It is said that this sutra contains the supreme Buddhist principles. After enlightenment, one can directly obtain the golden body and achieve enlightenment, drive away sinful karma and distracting thoughts, and directly reach the goal of spiritual enlightenment.

On the other side, it is a pity that the whereabouts of this sutra are unknown. I also heard that several Buddhas who achieved golden bodies in the Golden Mountains of the Western Regions also meditated on this sutra. Where did the prince get such a sacred object? Moreover, how could he get it?

Are you giving this treasure to others?"

"Haha, Master Miaofa, there is no need to worry. The other shore scripture that the prince found is not a complete copy, but a fragment, and there is almost a serious shortage of scriptures in it. The prince has gone to many Buddhist masters to read it. The collection value of this scripture is greater than the reference value.

In order to understand the value of Buddhism, even those eminent Buddhist monks with great wisdom cannot use this incomplete sutra to understand the Dharma. If Master doesn’t believe it, I can show it to Master!”

After that, I heard the sound of taking things. Outside the door, Xing Tianjiang heard the conversation word for word. He was also quite surprised. He also wanted to see what kind of scripture the other shore scripture was.

At that moment, Xingtian's spiritual body floated up, and then floated on it like a ghost, looking down through the upper window.

Sure enough, I saw that the elegant room was full of people, and a muscular man was taking out a brocade box from the package. Beside the man, there was an old man, waiting eagerly.

Soon, the man opened the brocade box and took out an extremely damaged scripture from it.

Almost no page of this scripture is complete, and some parts have obviously been repaired by book restorers. The scripture paper has long been withered and yellowed, and seems to break when touched, and the words on it have long been baptized by time and become difficult to read.

.

To be honest, this thing really has no value, it is just an antique at best.

But Xingtian knows that for Buddhism, Buddhist scriptures are very precious things, because the scriptures contain ideas, just like the golden bodies or relics of some eminent monks who passed away, which can be worshiped as sacred objects by Buddhist monks.

As expected, Master Miaofa became extremely pious after seeing this sutra. He first clasped his hands together and said the name of the Buddha, then he broke the sutra with both hands and carefully read page by page.

"As expected, it is the Other Shore Sutra. It is a pity that it is incomplete. There are too many fragments in the sutra and it is impossible to connect it at all. Otherwise, if I could understand this sutra, I would definitely be able to achieve enlightenment and reach the other shore. Alas, it is really a pity. It is also me.

If you don’t have enough merit, you won’t have such blessings!”

Master Miaofa murmured to himself as he looked, and saw that he no longer looked like a great monk. At this moment, he was like a rich country man who saw thousands of taels of silver and a thousand taels of gold. His eyes were round and his hands were shaking.

Stop, obviously very excited.

Xingtian also saw the broken scripture through the window. The spiritual mind of the Dharma body is different from the physical body, but uses mind to observe objects. Therefore, although there was some distance, Xingtian could still see the words on the broken scripture.

The master of Miaofa turned a page, and Xing Tian read another page. The incomplete scriptures on it were also remembered by Xing Tian in his heart one by one.

All the scriptures were remembered one by one by Xing Tian.

Just as the master of Miaofa said, although this scripture is incomplete, we can still see the great principles contained in it. However, it is obvious that these can only be felt out of thin air and cannot be truly understood at all. This is like hearing about a

The master's swordsmanship is like a god. Although I haven't seen it with my own eyes, when I see the person killed by this master, I can feel that the opponent's swordsmanship is superb. It is a feeling. After all, no one can comprehend it just by relying on this feeling.

That master's heaven-defying swordsmanship.

But even this feeling made Xing Tian fascinated by it, and his mind was completely immersed in this incomplete scripture. Like Xing Tian, the master of Miaofa also felt like he had found a treasure. He was silent at the moment, reading carefully.

, and the surrounding warriors from the palace seemed to have known the temper of the wonderful master, and they were drinking and eating meat independently at the moment, without disturbing him.

A fragment of the Sutra contains only twenty or thirty pages, and because it is incomplete, Master Miaofa soon saw the last page. This last page was also badly damaged, but it did not contain a sutra, but a painting.

The painting uses extremely complex lines to outline an ocean, and in the distance, there is a continent full of vitality. The waves in the sea are surging, and there is a three-headed sea dragon hidden in it. It is covered in black armor and looks terrifying.

I feel frightened in my heart, it seems that it can trigger all the fear in my heart, even my soul will be pulled out of the body by these three black armored dragons. But at this moment, the three black armored dragons are suppressed by others, but it is a pity that this picture is also incomplete, then

The three-headed black-armored dragon is damaged and cannot be seen as original. In addition, there are gaps in many places on this map. Those that were previously only barely identifiable.

This is the last page of the scripture. Xingtian was naturally shocked when he saw this picture. However, what he is best at is painting skills. He also practices the Tao of Divine Painters. Two days ago, he even had a meeting with Gu Zhongyue, who is known as the painting sage.

When discussing the art of painting, my horizons are very broad at this moment. Ordinary people don’t have any ideas when looking at paintings, but when Xingtian looks at paintings, if he finds any defects in the paintings, he will naturally think of ways to repair them.

So at this time, Xing Tian began to think about what this painting would look like when it was complete. The more Xing Tian thought about it, the more he became obsessed with it. The more he thought about it, the more immersed he became. His mind actually imagined a picture out of thin air. In an instant, Xing Tian seemed to

It was an epiphany that the rough sea was the sea of suffering, full of sinful karma, and that distant continent was the other shore. Only by crossing the sea of suffering and reaching the other shore can we achieve positive results and complete our merits.

Those three black-armored dragons should be the demons in the sea of suffering, and they are also inner demons, the incarnation of sin. It seems that as long as you cut off the demonic obstacles of sin and survive the sea of suffering, you can reach the other side.

But when Xingtian realized the great wisdom of Prajna, he had a different understanding.

The other shore, the other shore, where is the other shore? Could it be that by surviving the sea of suffering and slaying demonic obstacles, one can achieve complete merit and virtue?

No!

In that case, even if you reach the other side, the sea of suffering will still be turbulent, the demonic obstacles will still exist, and the people who are ups and downs in the sea of suffering will still be tortured in all kinds of ways. Could it be that merit is just for one's own selfishness, regardless of the world's common people? This seems to be in line with the principles of Buddhism

There is a conflict. Xing Tian couldn't understand this truth, and unconsciously, the broken scriptures he had written down before jumped into Xing Tian's mind at this moment.

Slowly, Xing Tian thought about it, should he take care of himself, cultivate merit, cross the sea of suffering, and pursue the far shore of bliss? Or should he look at the sea of suffering from a distance and realize that the road is boundless and turn back to the shore? Or he would rather fall into perdition and not seek merit, but seek a clear conscience and no regrets.

Seeking liberation, but seeking freedom?

Perhaps the third option is more suitable for you.

After thinking about this problem, Xingtian suddenly realized that the Wuran Dharmakaya was actually more pure than before. Xingtian had gained such an epiphany this time, and he had gained a lot, and he already knew that these people were indeed sent by the King.

, it can be regarded as achieving the goal. Master Miaofa is also a master of Buddhism. Xing Tian was afraid that his spiritual thoughts would be noticed by the other party if he stayed there for a long time, so he immediately returned his spiritual thoughts.

And not long after Xing Tian left, a strange thing happened. When Master Miaofa finished reading the Broken Sutra of the Other Shore and was about to return it to the man, the already torn sutra turned into pieces with a 'snap' sound.

There were so many pieces of paper all over the place that it was hard to put together.

At that moment, everyone in the room was shocked.

"How could this happen? Master Miaofa, this... this..." As soon as the man took the scripture, it was torn all over the floor, which naturally frightened him half to death. Although the broken scripture of the other shore is incomplete, its value is also

It is difficult to estimate, and it is not an exaggeration to say that it is a priceless treasure. His Royal Highness has always kept it as a treasure. If he did not want to obtain Yangquan True Water this time, he would not take it and give it to Shenzen Temple.

It's just that this kind of treasure was broken for no reason. If the ferocious king knew about it, everyone here would probably die.

Since these people were all masters of martial arts, they naturally knew that no one had used their true energy just now, so the scriptures were definitely not destroyed by the true energy.

"Amitabha, it may be that this sutra has been aged for too long, so it has simply faded away. I don't think I can blame anyone!" Master Miaofa was also shocked at first, but after all, he was a master of Zen Buddhism, and he had a calm mind. He immediately figured it out.

.If he insists on pursuing the case, he himself will not be able to escape the involvement. It is better to reduce the big issue to the trivial matter, which is the best strategy.

The man just now also came to his senses and said hurriedly: "Yes, Master Miaofa is right. This scripture is old and it is inevitable that it will be weathered and broken. If the prince asks, everyone will answer like this."

Others also knew the seriousness of the matter and nodded in agreement. They all ate and drank separately without mentioning the matter. After all, as long as the Yangquan True Water was brought back, the prince would not investigate further. (To be continued. Please search Piao Tian Literature,
