Only the light was still on in a room in the northeast corner, and the two of them drifted over.
Xiao Xian tried it and uncovered a few tiles on the roof.
It’s warm and humid here. For the sake of ventilation, the tiles on the roof are usually only waterproof and windproof, not for warmth. Therefore, unlike those roofs in the north, there is thick soil and tall straw under the tiles and on the top of the purlins.
It is one or several layers of reed mats.
Because it is a Buddhist temple, the house is relatively short, so there is no dust collector. You can see what's going on inside by removing the tiles and breaking the reed mats.
This is a Zen room with one light and two dark. In order to maintain transparency, the three rooms are connected together, and only floor-to-ceiling wooden covers are used to divide the space.
So when they looked down from above, it was clear at a glance.
In the east room is a Kang in the north, a table and two chairs in the south, and a living room in the middle with three apricot futons on the ground. In front is a Buddhist niche enshrining the statues of Buddha, Guanyin, and Manjusri.
There are still unburned incense sticks in the incense burner on the Buddhist niche, and white smoke lingers around the gods and Buddhas, making it appear somewhat mysterious.
To the west is a large mahogany wardrobe against the wall, and then a Duobao Pavilion with some scriptures and incense burners placed on it. There is also a row of bookshelves with some books placed on them.
There is actually a dressing table by the window on the south side!
Only women can use dressing tables, and they have to be lay women. But this is a Zen room in a temple, so why is there a dressing table?
Maybe it's something used by the incense lovers?
She knew that some wealthy families had special Zen courtyards in temples, and because they often came there, they would buy some simple furniture.
It's just...looking at the furnishings here, except for the dressing table, they are not women's utensils.
Especially the pieces of Zen clothes on the hangers are extremely large and clearly belong to men's clothes.
Moreover, there were two beaded hairpins on the dressing table, and another ivory comb, which had obviously been used recently.
The two of them looked inside and realized that there was no one there.
Shen Mingzhu signaled: Your Majesty, do you want to go down and have a look?
Xiao Xian shook his head, always feeling that something was strange.
He signaled: Go back first and make other plans.
Shen Mingzhu left the roof with him and returned to his meditation room.
What they didn't know was that while they were lying on the roof observing, there was also a pair of eyes next door to the Zen room staring in their direction in the dark night.
When they left, the man snorted and seemed a little disappointed, "You are so cunning and refused to come down to check."
If they come down, then his organs will come in handy.
Now they are gone, which is really disappointing.
Early the next morning, during the fasting meal, Qu Shui and Liu Shang came to meet them.
"Miss, have you found anything?" Liu Shan was rather anxious.
Shen Mingzhu shook his head, "Just wait and see what happens."
Qushui Liushang also checked nearby, but found nothing. The monks here are very disciplined. They all go to rest after evening classes, so no one walks around at will. Even the monks who watch the night are in groups of two.
Each two patrolling monks are responsible for a monastery. They rest for half an hour at the end of the patrol, and then continue patrolling. At midnight, the shift changes.
So there is nothing strange in the Zen Yuan.
From this point of view, only the Zen room in the northeast corner has something strange.
During the day, a monk came to tell them that Shen Mingzhu was in line and the others had to wait, so they continued to wander around and looked around the mountains in front, back and left, but there was nothing strange.
