After the nurse left, neither Haiyue nor Sikong Jingqiu spoke.
There was a brief silence in the ward.
Haiyue knew that Si Kong Jingqiu was waiting for her to answer the question she just asked, but she didn't say anything. She first picked up the soup on the small dining table, scooped a key and put it to Si Jingqiu's mouth.[

"Aren't you perfunctory with me?" Sikong Jingqiu stared straight into Haiyue's eyes.
Haiyue looked back at him without flinching, "No."
Sikong Jingqiu looked at Haiyue, trying to find signs of lying in her eyes, but her eyes were much firmer than before, without flickering or drifting.
"Okay then." Sikong Jingqiu finally believed her and opened his mouth to eat the soup that was handed to him.
