"Natural History" written by Zhang Hua of the Jin Dynasty once recorded an unusual event that has not entered the annals of history:
The ancients often said that the Tianhe River is connected with the sea. In the Western Han Dynasty, some people lived by the sea. Every August, they would see another floating tree falling from the sky without missing a beat. So a brave man climbed onto the fairy tree and built a boat on it.
He built a house, prepared plenty of food, and took a cab to leave.
The man was sitting on the fairy tree. At first he could see the stars, the moon and the sun, but then he could only see the vast expanse of high sky, which was pitch black. It was so blurry that he couldn't see anything clearly, let alone day and night.
After more than ten days, Xiancha arrived at an unknown place. The man looked down and saw that there was a big city here with very strict houses. From a distance, he saw many weavers in the palace. People were coming and going, and it was quite prosperous.
A man led a cow by and asked the cow to lower its head to drink water from the Tianhe River. When he saw someone coming up from Xiancha, the man leading the cow was shocked and asked: "Who are you? How did you get here?"
The man then answered where he came from, who he was, what his purpose was, and asked where the city was.
The Cowherd Man replied: "When you return to Shu County, visit Yan Junping and ask, and you will know the truth."
Then the man did not enter the city, but sat on the fairy tree and continued to drift. In August of the next year, he returned to Shu and visited Yan Junping to inquire about the matter.
Yan Junping calculated the time and replied: "Last year, a guest star indeed invaded Altair. Calculating the years and months, it was the day you arrived in Tianhe!"
After listening to the story told by Tian Lingzi, the young emperor Li Zhang nodded: "This story is indeed interesting. In the future, I will also ask craftsmen to imitate this story and build a flying boat for me to play with!"
The two of them had arrived at their destination, Linde Hall. Tian Lingzi bowed and saluted the emperor, then pushed open the wooden door of Linde Hall and said, "There is no need to imitate the flying chariot. There is indeed a fairy chariot hidden in the palace! That fairy chakra has always been hidden there.
In this Linde Palace!"
Before Li Xuan walked in, he saw a huge wooden vessel. It was more than fifty feet in diameter. Compared with a raft, it looked more like two golden cymbals in a band that played rhythm together. There was a round flat disk in the middle and two sides of the disk.
It is a raised hemisphere with a wooden frame underneath.
This fairy tree looked like it had wood grain on the surface, but it was completely integrated and free of moths. Li Yan touched it and couldn't find any gaps. It seemed that it had been cut directly from a whole piece of wood. He knocked it and made a sound.
The sound is like copper and iron.
Tian Lingzi introduced: "Everyone, please take a look, this is the 'Strictly Follow the Immortal Cha'. It is said that after learning that someone rode a cha into the Tianhe River, he strictly followed and imitated the Tian Cha that the person rode on. I don't know when it spread to the Daming Palace.
The old slave also discovered it after taking inventory of the palace collection a few days ago."
He said: "Li Deyu, the Prime Minister during Emperor Wenzong's reign, once cut a small piece out of the outer layer of Xiancha wood to carve the image of a Taoist priest. As a result, after the piece of wood was carved, it was able to fly back and forth on its own, which is amazing!"
Li Zhang liked this fairy tree very much. He turned around and asked excitedly: "Father, can it fly? Can it fly?"
Tian Lingzi smiled and clapped his hands, and a group of small Huangmen filed in, carrying buckets of sticky blood. The smell was unbearable. Li Xuan was so disgusted that he took a few steps back, covered his mouth and nose, and looked at it in confusion.
Xiangtian Lingzi.
The little yellow gates poured blood from the top onto the fairy tree, but saw that the blood was completely absorbed by the wooden shell, without even a drop splashing. After the little yellow gates poured dozens of buckets of human blood, this
Only then did Xiancha sway.
Colorful lights came out from under the wooden shell of the Xiancha, and then the colored lights flashed continuously, and they turned around in a circle before they were all lit up. The Xiancha suddenly levitated with a "buzzing" sound, and the brackets underneath slowly retracted the chassis.
Hovering steadily in mid-air.
Tian Lingzi took out a wooden statue of a Taoist from his arms and explained: "I dare not hide this from everyone. This immortal chariot is an immortal's vehicle. The magic weapon has a spirit, and we, mortal bodies, cannot operate it at all."
"Only by using human blood as a sacrifice, feeding the magic weapon Yuanling, and then using the Taoist statue made of the wood taken from the Xiancha to command, can the Xiancha be barely activated, but it is difficult to move more than one foot away.
The earth can only float and float in this Linde Palace."
After finishing speaking, Tian Lingzi handed the wooden statue to a small yellow door. The small yellow door grinned at the emperor and the privy councilor Tian Lingzi, then took a knife and cut his fingertips, and the blood gushed out and was sucked away by the wooden sculpture.
Xiao Huangmen held up the wooden sculpture and commanded the Xiancha to move slowly in the air. He would command whatever the emperor Li Zhan asked. However, as the blood from his fingertips was continuously sucked away by the Taoist wooden sculpture, Xiao Huangmen's expression became more and more complex.
Pale, not long after playing, Xiao Huangmen fainted and fell to the ground.
Tian Lingzi was not surprised and asked people to pull the little yellow door away, and then explained to Li Xuan: "Everyone, please forgive me, although the old slave's method of blood sacrifice can slightly mobilize the magic weapon Yuanling, but after all, it is harmful to the operator's body.
The damage is too great and cannot be used more often."
Li Zhen felt a little unhappy and said: "Why am I so unhappy? I just got excited about playing!"
Tian Lingzi said in fear: "Everyone, calm down, everyone, calm down, this old slave is of no use. The old slave will arrange for Xiao Huangmen to take turns to control the Xiancha for everyone, so that everyone will have a great time!"
Only then was Li Zhan satisfied. This time he sat directly on the Xiancha. There were only two guards from the Shence Army beside him, carefully supporting the young emperor who was not afraid of danger. They were afraid that if the emperor fell, the heads of his whole family would probably follow.
Landed.
So on this day, the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty, Li Xuan, sat on the newly acquired toy Xiancha and flew around the Daming Palace. The little Huangmen who followed him did not know how much blood was sucked by the wooden sculpture, and more than twenty people fainted that day.
, and two young eunuchs died of excessive blood loss.
After playing like this for several days, on the twenty-seventh day of the first lunar month, it was time for the court meeting again.
Li Zhan was sitting on the dragon chair in the Xuanzheng Hall. His mind was filled with thoughts about what new tricks he could find to play with the flying celestial beings after the court was over. He didn't even care about the little eunuch he killed.
.
But he didn't expect that this court meeting would be different from the previous ones in the first lunar month. Finally, the impatient courtiers began to ask the emperor to express his attitude, instead of just letting Quan Eunuch, who was called "father" by the emperor, do it for him.
decision making.
Lu Xie, a scholar in the Hanlin Academy, reported: "Your Majesty, there was a severe drought last year. From Hao to the sea, only half of the summer grain was harvested, few grains of autumn grain were harvested, and there were few winter vegetables. The poor people had thick armor and kept locust leaves for food. It is really heartbreaking.
!”
"However, the prefectures and counties are still in charge of taxation and are often whipped; or in addition to taxation, they are even doing corvee labor. If the court does not provide compensation, the people will have no livelihood! Please be gracious and issue an order to exempt the people from paying taxes and stop levying taxes in various places to wait for summer wheat.
, and ordered various places to go out to store grain and provide relief to the people to survive the famine years!"
After Lu Xiangqin finished his invitation, everyone turned their eyes to the young emperor sitting on the dragon throne. Tian Lingzi also narrowed his eyes and remained silent, wanting to see the emperor's reaction.
Li Zhen yawned and waved his hand casually: "Then... let it be what you played!"
Tian Lingzi and the officials all saluted and shouted: "Your Majesty is wise!"
