Chapter 170 Lurking

The next lurking is a big problem.

This is also a major feature of snipers... As for snipers, they are hidden in places where the enemy cannot find or is difficult to find, and then wait until the target appears and then hit it fatal!

As the saying goes, "Asiders watch the fun, while those who are experts watch the tricks"... In the eyes of outsiders, lurking is to find a place to lie down, and then wait for the target to appear without moving.

But in fact, lurking is not that simple...

The first thing is to choose a sniper position... The location of this sniper position is not just a matter of choosing one. The main reason is that our opponent is human, and it may even be an enemy sniper.

So this problem becomes complicated... The position we choose should not be too sensitive. This overly sensitive means that the observation position and shooting angle are too good, such as the commanding height of a high ground... For such a position, the Vietnamese army only has a little doubt or

I was worried that there would be enemy snipers who would use machine guns to scan them or bombard them with artillery fire.

Then the position cannot be too bad. If it is too bad, it will affect the observation angle. Or if the angle is too bad, even if the target has a sniper, there will be no chance to kill him... So this becomes a tactical value without tactical value

It would be useless even if the sniper had the will to lurk here for several days and nights.

So, what we need to do is to find a balance point between the two, that is, to find some places that are not very sensitive and have tactical value.

So this involves more problems...

First of all, we have to eliminate positions without tactical value. This is not an easy task, because some high grounds look good and not conspicuous...but it just has no tactical value.

For example, the enemy on the highway at the foot of the mountain you want to snipe. Then a jungle on the hillside above the high ground may be a good choice... This is not a sensitive area. You can also observe the target, and you can control a large number of them at this location.

The section of the road looks ideal.

But I really lie on my gun and found that this was not the case... The reason is that the corner of the road here and the foot of the mountain is too big. If a sniper wants to lurk here, he must lie on his side with a large corner for a long time...

If this is one or half, then it will be fine. After a long time, it will be over... Because the body leans forward, the weight of the whole body needs to be supported by the arms, so the arm can move for a few hours. Not to mention

Shooting.

There may be a way to solve these problems, that is, to slightly modify the environment (too much modification may cause the enemy to be alert), and to lie flat but the muzzle is facing downward... But when the target appears,

I would be very foolish to find that because the angle of the declination is too large, it is almost like looking down from the top, so the target is almost as big as the head...

Therefore, the best sniper position is not the higher the better, but the higher the target is slightly five or six meters. Moreover, a good sniper position should be something that most enemies are prone to ignore. It is inconspicuous.

And it can also be quickly withdrawn.

There should be not many people who can meet these conditions at the same time, and sometimes they do not exist at all. Therefore, they have to make choices based on their own conditions. For example, the strength of a sniper is that his marksmanship is accurate, so he can make some sacrifices in tactical value.

.

Once the position is found, you will sneak into the sniper position... The enemy at this time is an imaginary sniper... This is my purpose in training the sniper troops. It is to imagine that there is an enemy sniper staring at you at any time.

, The movements you need to do and every step you climb out must be based on being able to escape this imaginary enemy.

This requires the sniper to be careful, patient and observe. When stealing, you must make full use of low-lying areas, shadows, dead corners, etc. to cover your whereabouts. At the same time, you must also pay attention to not touching the shrubs and crushing the dead branches when moving forward.

Or alarm the surrounding animals...

This is a matter of only a few things but it is very difficult to do, especially if the first step is not done well... that is, if the position is not right, you will find out when you go through hardships and carefully climb to the point.

...Oh no, it's not suitable for sniping here, so it's too late to transfer the position.

There is no shortcut to solving this problem. It is to let the soldiers practice over and over again, practice on various terrains, sometimes during the day and sometimes at night... and it is also practiced against the situation, so practicing against the situation is to sniper

The company is divided into several groups in platoons. When one group is practicing stealth, another group observes the opposite side. When they find someone in a certain place, they will indicate the specific location... After that, they will change the roles.

This is to practice stealth while practicing observation skills. I often play a round-robin competition in the sniper company. Several platoons in the company (because the sniper company has a large number of people, so eight platoons were made up) take turns to compete.

Which rank can win in the end and become the champion...

Although there is no substantial reward, it is often the case for those who are in the army. They will regard honor as more important than rewards or even life. So, after the competition is stimulated, all the platoons are practicing hard, how many are there?

The team that lost the title in the last game even slept in the lurking position in order to get a good ranking next time.

Then after sneaking to the right position like this, you will perform necessary camouflage and wait in the sniper position.

This is easier because of the Geely suit... First of all, the numbness hanging on the Geely suit will play a good role in protecting the color. This thing is as long as it is a distance...even if the telescope is staring at it

You can't tell anything at all, especially the Geely suit is made of a camouflage net, so the soldiers can pick some weeds or branches on the ground before reaching the sniper position to disguise... It should be honest

The best effect of collecting camouflage plants is that plants in the same area have the same climate, so their quality or growth are not much different. Pull these things into Geely suits and then lie down into the position...

...Then basically, even the gods can't tell the difference.

The most difficult thing is waiting, which is like we were fighting lurking on the battlefield before... but the requirements are much greater than our previous lurking.

In the past, it was said that it could not move, but in fact, the soldiers would have some small movements, such as scratching and changing their postures... The quality of ordinary troops must be uneven, so people

Once we counted more, we couldn't ask each of them to be unstoppable. In addition, it was because we used to deal with ordinary Vietnamese troops, and their observation ability was not so detailed, so our requirements were low.

But... the purpose of training in my hand is to deal with Vietnamese snipers. The sniper's insight is not comparable to ordinary soldiers. It is difficult for us to kill if we seem to be very small.

The disaster requires that the sniper must have the determination and perseverance to remain motionless after entering the sniper position.

So this kind of training began quickly, and the training method was very simple, just one platoon was lurking and the other was observing. When someone observed someone moved, they would immediately point it out...

Of course, some jokes have also been made in this... Sometimes it is not a lurking sniper moving, it is inevitable that there are some small animals occasionally. As a result, the observation team shouted several times but no one stood up.

Finally, I ran up and took a look... there was no one at all!

While waiting, the lurking group did not say that they would do nothing and stayed stupidly... their bodies did not move, but their heads could move.

At the same time, it is also to make the waiting time pass faster, so the lurking sniper must start observing the surrounding terrain and perform some necessary memory and analysis after entering the position, such as dividing into three levels, medium and close, here

What plants and conspicuous objects are there in the three floors? Where is the enemy sniper most likely to hide? What is the wind direction in the far, middle, and near the three floors? What is the wind force? If the target appears in these areas

How much offset should be used, etc.

You must even remember these seemingly ordinary plants, rocks, caves and other directions, and then close your eyes and recall them over and over again. If you open your eyes and find that some places of these things are different, or you are

After moving, or there are some more traces... Then you should be glad that this is likely to be the prelude to discovering the enemy sniper.

After all these are done, it is the turn of shooting...

So there is a saying that goes, "One minute on stage, ten years of hard work off stage", as a sniper, the same is true... A layman sees a sniper, just shooting a few bullets and killing several important targets... This looks like

It looks very relaxed and even thinks it's just luck, but I didn't expect that the snipers have made much preparations to shoot these few shots.

Of course, good marksmanship is also the key... because all the preparations are to be able to shoot a few shots, and even due to objective factors, they will be evacuated immediately after firing these shots.

In other words, snipers often do not have more chances to shoot, so this requires that the target must be able to be able to be eliminated in these few shots or even shorter time, otherwise the one who is solved is likely to be himself.

But this undoubtedly requires equipment-based...that is, a sniper rifle with long range, high accuracy and reliable performance.

There is indeed this equipment, which is the svd sniper rifle that has been distributed to us, just in case I didn't dare to let the soldiers bring them to practice.

So, I was waiting for the first batch of Type 79 sniper rifles that had just left the factory...
