Naturally, we don’t need to worry about the work in Beijing.
We just need to report the plan to Commander Zhang and ask him to cooperate with the implementation of the plan after obtaining his consent.
After all, this is not a very difficult thing... Only Commander Zhang knew about the gun aiming radar that was not bombed, so he just wanted to organize several meetings in Beijing to discuss whether he should aim another gun.
Just transport the radar to the front line.
Of course, the final result of the discussion will definitely be "to transport the gun aiming radar to the front line", and this operation will be launched in ten days.
So we actually gave the Vietnamese a deadline to launch an attack.
As for us... of course we are preparing to fight on the front line.
The first and most important thing is the shells.
I believe the number of artillery is enough. On the one hand, it is because the Japanese invaders cannot mobilize too many artillery in this limited time. On the other hand, it is because our army has gun-aiding radar, even if the Japanese invaders can mobilize a large number of artillery.
It's no problem for us.
It turns out that I still underestimated the transportation and mobilization capabilities of the Vietnamese Japanese, because after the war, I knew that the Vietnamese army invested 14 artillery battalions in this battle, that is, nearly two artillery divisions.
And this does not include all types of mortars of large and small caliber.
From this point, we can also see that the Japanese devils are bound to win this battle.
However, it is no wonder that the Laoshan area was very uncomfortable for the Vietnamese army after being controlled by our army... This not only prevented our army from harassment by the Vietnamese army, but also caused the Vietnamese army to open its doors to the Qingshui area.
The vast area in the northwest of Hejiang is directly under the control of our army. In addition, we deliberately created an illusion for them. If we want to get back to Laoshan area, we will only have this opportunity. It will be even more difficult in the future.
.So the Vietnamese army was determined to take all their bets.
Our transportation of shells is based on Laoshan's recovery war reserves. That is, Laoshan's recovery war reserves 2.5 base shells, and then they fought and transported them. There was no major problem in the whole battle. So we
I decided to prepare three base shells for the upcoming battle... that is, I prepared 0.5 base shells for the Laoshan Recovery Battle. If I think this would be enough.
But afterwards we realized how outrageous we were wrong, and these shells were just a drop in the bucket.
Of course, we didn't know about this at this time. In fact, the transportation of these three base shells has already cost us a lot of effort... During this period, our army can be said to have mobilized all the military vehicles to come.
The continuous transportation of back and forth day and night barely met the requirements.
The second is the preparations for the front-line infantry.
During this period, the Vietnamese army continued to harass our army's front line... The intention of the Vietnamese army was very obvious, which was that we did not want our front-line soldiers to have sufficient rest or block the construction of our army's fortifications.
But this is actually beneficial to our army. That is, through these actual combat, we can constantly discover possible problems in the defense line we have formed.
This reminds me of a philosophy that a worker master said. When I was organizing a visit to a boiler factory in my hour, a master who was repairing said to us while busy working, "Don't look at us."
These boilers have minor problems from time to time, but they are often safe. If there is no problem, then the problem will be a major problem!"
Our current situation is somewhat similar to this "boiler philosophy"... Usually, although the Japanese invaders can always find small loopholes of one kind or another when they harass our defense line, we will immediately find these loopholes when we discover these loopholes
We will make up for it or take corresponding measures, so over time, our army's defense line will become more and more complete.
On the contrary, if the Japanese invaders did not fight us today and tomorrow, we thought that our defense line was tight everywhere with loopholes. The result was that a sudden big battle would soon collapse.
So, from this aspect, we really have to thank these Vietnamese Japanese who harass us!
After summarizing the previous battles on the front line, we judged that there are several places in this battle that will be the focus of the Vietnamese offensive:
One is the 1072 highland.
Needless to say, this high ground is steep in the south and slow in the north, making it a natural high ground for the Vietnamese army that is easy to defend and difficult to attack.
And it also has another feature, that is, it has no warning position and is only more than 200 meters away from the enemy's control of Highland No. 74, which means that the enemy can directly charge against our army's important place as soon as it starts fighting.
The other is the 142 Highlands that were stationed in the previous nine squad.
The characteristic of this highland is that its area is too small, which makes it only have a dozen people stationed. Moreover, it is also the kind of part that protrudes from our defense line to the enemy, and is easily attacked by the Vietnamese army on three sides.
This happened to the defense before Class 9.
The third is the Bali Hedongshan area.
The Bali Hedongshan area is the left wing of our army's defense line, and there are seven positions lined up. It can be said that if any position is lost, the Vietnamese army will break into our defense line and then threaten our army's back. There will even be our army.
Surround or use agents to infiltrate and attack our army's logistics supplies and other dangers.
In response to these issues, the arrangement made by Commander Jiang is:
The howitzer battalion and chemical defense forces were strengthened in the direction of the 1072 Highland, that is, Laoshan. There is no doubt that the howitzer battalion can provide artillery assistance to the 1072 Highland. The flamethrower carried by the chemical defense forces can effectively prevent the charge of the Vietnamese infantry.
Tank troops, cannons and anti-tank missile troops were strengthened in the 142 position, that is, Songmaoling.
Needless to say what this is, the 142 position is easily besieged by the Vietnamese infantry, and the 142 high ground cannot be garrisoned too many infantry, and it is difficult for infantry to break through the Vietnamese artillery blockade, so the critical moment
Tank troops are needed to step forward to rescue the 142 Highlands or provide fire assistance.
At the same time, if our army uses tanks, the enemy will naturally be able to use tanks to counter our tanks, so anti-tank troops such as cannons and anti-tank missiles are naturally needed.
In this way, the tank troops of our synthetic battalion were urgently transferred from Beijing.
According to Commander Jiang, this battle may be a battle that determines whether our entire border can be stable, so in order to ensure that everything is foolproof, it should be completed by the best troops.
Originally, I thought Commander Jiang's words were a bit over, but thinking about it, it was really... The Vietnamese army was short of troops and its equipment was completely relied on the support of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was also deeply trapped in the Afghan trap and could not take care of itself. If we could kill and destroy Viet Nam in large quantities, we could kill Viet Nam in large quantities.
If the army has the vitality or attack the Vietnamese artillery strongly, it is afraid that they will find it difficult for them to recover and launch a large-scale battle in the border area.
Huang Jianfu, the tank company commander, was very happy about this. You know, he originally thought that since there was no need to use tanks on the border, they were just "vases". Unexpectedly, they were still useful now, and as soon as they came up, they were just "vases".
Fight a big battle.
The sniper platoon and reconnaissance platoon are strengthened in the direction of Dongshan, Balihe.
Needless to say, its intention is to prevent the infiltration of Vietnamese agents.
Of course, I didn't need to worry about these issues. At this time, I was still commanding the artillery battalion and working with the Fourth Artillery Division as before.
From these arrangements of Commander Jiang, it can be seen that his deployment is very targeted and has a clear purpose. It will also be deployed according to the terrain and on-site conditions. For example, the terrain near the 142 Highland is relatively smooth.
Very suitable for combating mobile units such as tanks.
As for our artillery mission...
After replenishing artillery and personnel, the artillery battalion of the Synthetic Battalion lost several artillery pieces while covering the 142 position), it still served as the task of attacking the Vietnamese artillery units.
Is our army experienced in this regard? It is directly under the command of artillery radar and has innate advantages.
While cooperating with us in the attack on the Vietnamese artillery positions, the Fourth Artillery Division also serves as the follow-up force to attack the Vietnamese army, and guarantee the troops and areas where the troops may gather or garrison troops.
Simply put, it is to attack the enemy with vitality... It goes without saying why it will take on this task. With the comparison of our cannon-aiding radar, we can quickly and accurately kill the Vietnamese army.
As mentioned before, the attack on the enemy's living power is often the first few shells... Once a few shells pass, the enemy will immediately fall down or cover it up.
In other words, if the traditional bombing method is adopted, the artillery observer must be used to guide the artillery test firing and then cover it on a large area, the effect will obviously be much worse.
Other artillery has little to do with me. For example, the 320th Artillery Regiment is a supply base for controlling the rear of the Vietnamese army, and the three small-caliber artillery battalions provide firepower support to the frontier of our army's defense.
The preparations for the entire battle were arranged in an orderly manner, and in my opinion, they were also airtight.
It should be said that the preparations for this battle are even more in place than the previous Laoshan regaining battle.
Of course, a considerable part of this is that the previous Laoshan regaining war was kept confidential, so we didn’t know that we would fight Laoshan until the moment before the war started, so we didn’t have much preparation, both psychologically and physically.
But this battle is different. The entire battle deployment and even how to connect and coordinate between infantry artillery are well organized and even drills have been done in advance.
This makes the troops on the entire battlefield form a machine and a terrifying war machine like parts.
Now everything is ready, but the east wind is missing, so I am waiting for the Yue Japanese to come.
But as the saying goes, "Planning depends on people and accomplishing things depends on heaven", who can know whether the Japanese will be deceived? (To be continued...)
