After lunch, Xiao Anan said: "Father, you have returned safely. It's time to go to the Shwedagon Pagoda to worship the Buddha and thank the Buddha for his protection."
The stand-in smiled and said: "You should go!"
The difference between Burmese Buddhism and Chinese Buddhism is that this is Theravada Buddhism, and the Chinese Buddhism is called Hinayana Buddhism. There is no distinction between upper and lower Buddhism in Hinayana Buddhism, just because the two have different understandings of precepts. The Buddha speaks all dharma with one sound,
All living beings have different understandings according to their categories, and there is no distinction between high and low.
Zhang Jun accompanied the stand-in and Xiao An'an to the Shwedagon Pagoda. The Shwedagon Pagoda, together with Borobudur Pagoda in Indonesia and Angkor Wat in Cambodia, is a treasure of oriental art. The Burmese call it the "Swedagon Pagoda".
From a distance, Zhang Jun could see the Shwedagon Pagoda, which was hundreds of meters high. Faintly, he could see thousands of Buddha lights radiating from the Shwedagon Pagoda, and he was slightly surprised.
The pagoda has four gates, and the three of them entered from the north gate. There are two large stone lions on both sides of the gate. Inside the gate is a stone staircase extending upward. There are vendors on both sides of the staircase selling incense, candles, flowers and other items.
Climbing up the stairs, Zhang Jun found that people were taking off their shoes one after another, including Xiao An'an and his stand-in. He knew this was local custom, so he took off his shoes and followed the crowd in.
As he approached the Shwedagon Pagoda, he felt shocked and finally understood why it was called an artistic treasure.
Xiao An'an explained that the Shwedagon Pagoda is 112 meters high. There are more than 1,000 pure gold foils on the tower, and up to 7 tons of gold are used. More than 15,000 gold and silver bells are hung around the tower. The top of the tower is entirely made of gold.
It is cast, with a metal umbrella weighing 1,260 kilograms on it, surrounded by 664 rubies, 551 emeralds, and 443 diamonds, making the entire golden pagoda shine with precious light, making it majestic and glorious.
Zhang Jun secretly estimated that if he packed up the Shwedagon Pagoda and sold it, he could sell it for tens of billions at a discount. Unfortunately, it was too big and he couldn't move it.
There are sixty-four small pagodas around the main pagoda, and in each small pagoda, there is a jade Buddha sitting cross-legged. Entering the pagoda, pilgrims worshiped devoutly, many of whom were foreign tourists.
The square outside the pagoda is paved with marble tiles. Tourists are stopping or walking, and there are believers kneeling on the ground to worship. Xiao An'an and his substitute entered the Buddhist halls at the four corners of the main pagoda. Zhang Jun's perspective covered the entire Shwedagon Pagoda, so
Just wait outside peacefully.
He walked around the sixty-four small pagodas. Each pagoda contained a jade Buddha. When he looked through these jade Buddhas, Zhang Jun found that they all had strong Buddha light surging on them.
With a thought in his heart, he remembered the experience of absorbing the Buddha's light on the Guanyin statue in Yang Tiansheng's private collection, and the experience of absorbing the golden light on the "Vajra Seal of Tantra" Buddhist scriptures.
So, he continued to look deeply, and found that a ray of Buddha's light rose from the pagoda, fell into his eyebrows, and entered the Buddha who was meditating in the sea of consciousness. Suddenly, the image of the meditating Buddha became more solid.
, and getting taller and taller.
This Buddha was originally created by Zhang Jun's meditation practice of Tianji Jue. Later, it merged with the Buddha's relics and became what it is now. Unexpectedly, it could absorb the Buddha's light and continue to grow.
Zhang Jun was curious in his heart and wanted to know how much Buddha's light this Buddha who had been meditated could absorb. So he walked all the way and absorbed the Buddha's light from the sixty-four Buddha statues one by one.
In the end, the meditating Buddha was like a million rays of golden light. If there is anyone who can see through the Buddha's eyes, he will find that the Buddha's light on Zhang Juntian's spiritual cap rises into the sky and shoots straight into the void, reaching a height of more than ten feet.
After absorbing the Buddha's light, Zhang Jun didn't feel anything special, so he followed the stairs into the main pagoda Buddhist hall. As soon as he entered the Buddhist hall, he saw a seated and reclining Buddha statue high above it, and many good men and women were worshiping the Buddha devoutly.
Zhang Jun stared at the Buddha statue and saw that the Buddha's body was simply an ocean of Buddha's light. The thick Buddha's light gathered together and never dispersed. After staring for a long time, countless Buddha's light poured into his eyebrows and penetrated into the meditating Buddha.
In this way, Zhang Jun walked around the entire Shwedagon Pagoda and absorbed the Buddha's light from all the Buddha statues. At this moment, the Buddha he was meditating on was already ten thousand feet tall, with his feet in the void and his hands holding the sun and the moon. He seemed to be able to carry the entire universe.
.
At this moment, the substitute and Xiao An'an had finished worshiping the Buddha and began to walk back. Suddenly, there was a commotion outside the hall, and Zhang Jun discovered that a large group of monks surrounded an old monk walking towards them.
The old monk seemed to be very nervous. He would stumble every few steps he took. If he hadn't been supported by someone, he would have fallen to the ground.
Xiao Anan and the substitute walked to the gate of the Buddhist temple curiously and watched the monks approaching.
Zhang Jun stood sideways. He wanted to get out of the way. Unexpectedly, the old monk came up and suddenly knelt down in front of him with a plop, and said respectfully in native dialect: "Little monk Saya, see the venerable Arahant!"
Xiao An'an believes in Buddhism, so of course he knows the meaning of Arahant, which is the highest among the four fruits of recluse. The four fruits of recluse are pre-streaming, once-returning, non-returning, and arhat.
The ten major disciples of Buddha are all Arahants. In Mahayana Buddhism, there is also a great Arahant, which is equivalent to the Bodhisattva status of the Ten Grounds.
Zhang Jun was also surprised and asked Xiao Anan: "What is he talking about?"
Xiao Anan looked at him with a shocked look and replied: "The Master said that you are an Arhat in the world. He was several kilometers away and saw your Dharma body rising into the sky, illuminating all sentient beings in the world."
Zhang Jun's heart moved. He stared at the old monk and found that although his body was thin, his spirit was very pure. He was obviously a senior monk who had practiced Buddhism for a long time and had a very advanced understanding of Buddhism.
He walked up to the old monk, stretched out his hand and touched his head, and a ray of golden light penetrated into the old monk's body. At the same time, he moved the Dragon and Tiger True Gang, vibrating his whole body's qi and blood, and regulating his vitality.
In an instant, the old monk's face was radiant, and he felt that his vitality had suddenly increased many times, and his wisdom had also increased. He couldn't help being surprised and happy, and bowed to Zhang Jun.
"Thank you, Your Majesty, for the gift!" He looked very excited.
All the monks behind him also knelt down and worshiped with great piety.
At this time, the stand-in walked up behind Zhang Jun and whispered: "Eighty-five percent of the people in Myanmar believe in Buddhism. If they think you are an Arhat, you will have more prestige than any government official!"
Zhang Jun was surprised, but he did not want to participate in the political struggle and would leave in a month. So he ignored what the substitute said and "blessed" the monks who paid homage to him in turn.
Some tourists were very curious and rushed to come. Some bold and good-hearted people actually mingled among the monks and wanted to ask for Zhang Jun's blessing.
Zhang Jun absorbed immeasurable Buddha's light in the Shwedagon Pagoda, and he had the ambition to be able to save the world of mortals. Naturally, he was not short of such a person, so he refused to reject anyone who came, and gave them initiations and blessings one by one.
This process lasted for more than two hours, and a total of thousands of people accepted Zhang Jun's "blessing". The old monk and others stayed by the side all the time, deeply admiring the Venerable's compassionate heart and his magnanimity to save the world!
Caressing the last person's head, he said to the old monk: "Mr. Xiao is my friend. If you need anything, you may contact me through him."
The old monk prostrated himself to the ground again and begged: "Master, my junior brother Bamo was invaded by external demons and fell into madness. Please save him!"
After listening to Xiao An'an's translation, he said calmly: "It's okay, I'll go with you to exorcise the devil."
The old monk then led the way, and Zhang Jun followed behind.
Xiao An'an also wanted to know how Zhang Jun exorcised demons. She became more and more interested in her father's friend. Walking behind, she said to the substitute: "Father, the old monk Sha Ye is the abbot of the Fuji Temple.
The Buddhist community in Myanmar has a very high status. If your friend can become a friend with him, it will be of great help to me politically."
The substitute nodded: "I know what I know and will try to get him to help you."
Fuji Temple is one of the most famous temples in Yangon. There are many temples in Myanmar, and you can encounter them almost when you go out. However, there are still only a few large-scale temples like this, with tens of thousands of monks inside.
After entering the Fuji Temple, the old monk Saya took him to a black house in the backyard. The door of the room was locked from the outside. The door was made of iron and the lock was very large. Even if there was a cow inside, it would be impossible for him to break out.
Saya said: "Sir, my junior brother Bamo is inside. He has entered the devil's way and has great power. He can easily hurt others, so he has been locked up in our temple for three years now."
Zhang Jun nodded and said: "Open the door."
Of course, Saya was not worried that the Venerable could not subdue the devil, so he ordered his disciple to open the lock. When the disciple opened the lock, there was a look of fear on his face, and he ran away as soon as he opened the lock.
Bamo inside seemed to hear the sound, and he opened the door with a bang. Zhang Jun saw a fat monk rushing out. He was 1.8 meters tall, with a beard, messy long hair, and
The monk's robes were in tatters.
His eyes were blood red, his roar was like thunder, and he rushed towards the monks like a madman.
Zhang Jun was secretly surprised when he discovered that this Bamo was actually a capable person with only half a step to hold the elixir!
Bamo rushed towards him, and the monks were so frightened that they fled in all directions. Shaye quickly said: "Please, your venerable master, cast down the demon!"
Zhang Jun took a step forward, uttered a Buddhist mantra, and uttered a syllable from the mantra.
"Zha!"
Ba Mo's body trembled and he stopped in place, turning his head to glare at Zhang Jun, but his eyes were still filled with murderous intent.
Zhang Jun strode closer, holding the twelve heart seals with both hands and uttering Tantric mantras. After a moment, Bamo became quiet and stood motionless.
At this time, Zhang Jun took a shot and shot a ball of Buddha's light into Ba Mo's eyebrows. Through perspective, he had already seen a gray shadow in Ba Mo's body. It had a single horn on its head and blood-red eyes. It should be a head.
Devil phantom.
He speculated that Ba Mo must have gone crazy while practicing Buddhism, leading to schizophrenia, which led to the current situation.
The Buddha's light entered the body, and the shadow screamed strangely, turning into black smoke and disappearing. Then Bamo became quieter. He sat down cross-legged, and the blood and energy in his body gradually joined together, and there was a sign of holding an elixir.
Zhang Jun was very surprised. As far as he knew, there was not even a master of Dan Bao in Myanmar. He did not expect that he would create one!
Carefully observing the process of the opponent's elixir formation and the method of transporting qi and blood, Zhang Jun actually understood in his heart that the surging qi and blood in his body also had a tendency to gradually become the true one.
