After the old monk finished speaking, he opened a wooden box he brought with him.
Wu Daozi was stunned when he took a look. There was a box full of drawings, not a single one of which was complete. There was only a small drop of water, a spray or a layer of water ripples on it. Only then did Wu Daozi realize that he had made a very big mistake.
Big mistake.
Since that incident, Wu Daozi got up early and came home late every day to learn how to paint water droplets and waves. On windy and rainy days, he would also go to the beach with an umbrella to watch the changes in the water and waves.
Time flies, and three years have passed. Wu Daozi has made great progress in painting water, and has been praised by his master. But he never expected that on the second day after returning to the temple, the old monk fell ill in bed.
Wu Daozi knelt in front of the bed and said sincerely: "Master, I would like to draw that picture of "Rivers and Seas" for you." When the old monk saw that Wu Daozi, who was fifteen or sixteen years old, actually said such ambitious words, he was very happy and sick.
It was half better, so I agreed immediately.
So Wu Daozi went into the back hall and painted "Rivers and Seas". For nine months, he did not leave the hall. He ate, drank and slept inside, carefully composing the mural.
One day in late autumn, Wu Daozi ran out of the back hall happily, knelt down in front of the old monk and said excitedly: "Master, I have drawn "River and Sea", please go and watch it."
After the old monk heard this, his illness was completely cured. He took a bath and changed clothes, and led all the monks in the temple to the back hall to watch.
Wu Daozi gently opened the door to the apse, only to see turbulent waves. A monk came towards him and shouted loudly: "No, Tianhe has opened his mouth." The monks were so frightened that they jostled each other and scrambled to escape.
The old monk had confidence in his heart. He stood at the entrance of the temple, looked at the waves coming towards him, laughed up to the sky, and said to Wu Daozi: "My child, your painting of "Rivers and Seas" was successful."
Since then, there has been an endless stream of literati painters who came to Berlin Temple to watch and copy "Rivers and Seas". But Wu Daozi was not proud. He studied painting harder and finally became the "Painting Sage" in the prosperous Tang Dynasty in China. In order to help his apprentices actively
To be enterprising, Wu Daozi adopted the master's method and made his disciples and himself one.
"Not bad, you are still a master of antiques, what else do you know?" Li Tianbao asked again after listening to what the old man said.
"I don't know about the rest, do you know?" The old man, the shop owner, saw that his knowledge was showing off, so he returned the matter to Li Tianbao. Although he was willing to sell the painting to Li Tianbao for one dollar, he didn't want to work in a professional field.
In terms of knowledge, I lost to someone a year ago.
"Old man, listen, I will tell you another story." After Li Tianbao finished speaking, he recounted the story he was told by Pixiu Yan that had nothing to do with Wu Daozi.
"Lu's Miscellaneous Notes" records such a story. Once, Wu Daozi went to visit a monk and wanted to ask for a cup of tea. But the monk was not very polite to him. He was very angry. He invited a pen and inkstone, and quickly painted it on the wall of the monk's room.
A donkey was painted on it. After finishing the painting, Wu Daozi left.
Unexpectedly, one night, the donkey he painted turned into a real donkey. It was very angry and ran back and forth in the house. It also trampled the furniture and other items in the monk's room into a mess.
The monk soon realized that the donkey painted by Wu Daozi was causing trouble, so he had no choice but to ask him to erase the painting on the wall. When Wu Daozi saw that the monk recognized his mistake and apologized, he erased the painting from the wall.
Strange. Since then, the monk's room has been peaceful.
Another time, the painting sage Wu Daozi came to Jizu Mountain. On the night when he stayed at Jinding Temple, the moon was particularly bright. He and Zen Master Yuezhi drank under the moon and chatted about the past and present, and the conversation was very speculative.
The Zen master said: "I have heard for a long time that the master is a master of painting. Taking advantage of this good night, I dare to ask the master to do an impromptu painting. Firstly, it will open the eyes of the poor monk, and secondly, it will leave a permanent memorial to Han Temple. What do you think?"
Wu Daozi nodded repeatedly. The Zen master ordered the young monk to wait on him. After thinking for a while, the painter picked up his pen and drew a "Picture of a Standing Horse". The horse was really vivid. He was about to draw the last stroke - the horse tail.
, the painter felt chest tightness and nausea, and was very sad, so he put down the brush, walked quickly to the courtyard, and vomited.
The deacon monk hurriedly brought tea and asked the painter to wash up, and then took him back to the Zen room to rest.
When he woke up the next day, the painter felt better, but he didn't remember painting the horse. After dinner, he said goodbye to the monks and went down the mountain.
A few days later, the Zen master looked carefully at the "Picture of a Standing Horse" and found that the horse's tail had not been painted yet. He was very sorry, but he had no choice but to hang it in the side room of the Zen hall. The Zen master had to burn a pot of incense in front of the painting every day.
In memory of the master, I came to look at the horse picture. The more I looked at the horse, the more alive it became, as if it was neighing and about to jump off.
Once, a dozen farmers at the foot of the mountain rushed into the temple noisily and angrily said to the Zen master: "The bald-tailed horse in your temple comes to eat our crops every night. This time, it was chased by us.
I ran into your temple, and you have to pay back our crops."
The Zen master was really confused and said, "What kind of horses do Buddhists keep? If you don't believe me, please search the temple."
The farmers searched everywhere, but couldn't even see the shadow of the horse. They thought the Zen master must have hidden it, so they struggled with him endlessly. The Zen master thought for a long time, suddenly remembered the painting, and said to the farmers:
"My fellow villagers, it is true that the old monk has no horse, but he has a picture of a standing horse painted by Master Wu Daozi. Please come in and have a look."
When the farmers saw the horse in the picture, they were shocked. The bald-tailed horse was exactly the same as the bald-tailed horse they were chasing. It had a few green wheat seedlings in its mouth! So, he pointed at the horse in the picture.
The horse said: "That's it, eating our crops every day and night."
The Zen master was furious, pointed at the bald-tailed painted horse and cursed: "Beast, if I keep you here to harm others, I might as well send you to the fire pit."
As soon as he said this, the horse knelt down with tears in its eyes. The farmer was really surprised and thought it would be a pity to burn it, so he said: "Forget it, as long as it sincerely repented and stopped destroying the crops."
That’s it.”
From then on, people often saw a bald-tailed horse coming down from Jizu Mountain to help farmers work, carrying firewood, wheat, and rice. Many people didn't know its origin, but the more than ten farmers felt
Understand: it is the bald-tailed horse left behind by Wu Daozi.
After Li Tianbao finished telling his story, Jiang Tianqi, who was already fascinated, said loudly: "It's really interesting, Brother Li, is there anything else?"
"Yes, I'll tell you later. I'll first ask the old man if he's convinced." After Li Tianbao finished speaking, he looked at the face of the old shop owner who looked shy. I think that when it comes to appraisal of calligraphy and painting, we must test each person's life.
I knew a thing or two about the story, but the old shop owner only verified the authenticity, but he completely failed in his understanding of the author.
"It turns out that Mr. Li is a real master. Little old man, I am really blind. I thought this painting should be yours."
The old man who owned the shop finally admired Li Tianbao, but Li Tianbao's story just now was very interesting, and he still wanted to hear it, so he said to Li Tianbao: "Mr. Li must have something more exciting to tell, can you tell me?"
Let’s talk about a few more.”
"Brother Li, tell me quickly. Is there any more amazing story?" Jiang Tianqi could no longer bear it.
"Yes, let me tell you slowly." Li Tianbao acted like an old scholar and told him and Jiang Tianqi again.
One evening, Wu Daozi passed by a thatched house and heard the sound of cotton spinning inside. But strangely, he couldn't see any light inside because it was getting late, so he didn't stop.
Early the next morning, Wu Daozi came to the thatched house again. After a while, a white-haired old woman came out of the house and enthusiastically invited him in for tea.
After Wu Daozi entered the room, he took the tea and asked: "Old man, do you recognize me?"
The old woman said: "I know, I know. I went to the street to sell thread, and I heard people say that you are Wu Painter. They also said that you are a good person and do not curry favor with the rich and the government."
Wu Daozi smiled and nodded. He asked her again: "How many people are there in your family?"
The old woman said very eloquently: "My husband died early, and my son died of illness a few years ago. I am left alone as an old woman, spinning cotton and selling thread to make ends meet."
Wu Daozi sighed and asked again: "You are spinning cotton at night, why don't you light a lamp?"
The old woman said with tears in her eyes: "Hey, Mr. Wu, I keep spinning day and night, and the money I earn is not enough for food and clothing. How can I buy oil to light a lamp? Since my son died, I haven't lighted a lamp for three years."
.”
Wu Daozi thought for a while and said to the old woman: "Old man, your life is very hard, and I can't help you. I can only paint you a picture."
Wu Daozi ground the paper and began to paint. He first flicked the pen soaked in ink onto the paper, and suddenly many shiny little dots appeared on the paper. He then lightly painted on the small dots with the pen a few times, and finally
Draw a circle in the blank space.
"It will be useful if you stick this painting in your house." Wu Daozi said to the old woman.
Although the old woman couldn't see what the painting was, she was convinced that Wu Daozi was a good person and would not lie to her. She happily took the painting, then took out a handful of rolled thread from the bedside and said to Wu, "Thank you for your help."
Mr. Wu, I don’t know how to repay you, so I’ll send you the thread to exchange for pen and ink!”
"I'm not painting for money. If it were for money, I wouldn't be able to paint even if you gave me a thousand taels of silver. You'd better keep the thread in exchange for rice!" After saying that, Wu Daozi packed up his painting tools and went out.
The old woman carefully posted the painting on the wall in front of the spinning wheel, but she never imagined that a legendary scene would happen at night.
When it got dark, the old woman discovered that the painting was actually a blue sky with countless stars shining on it, and a round moon illuminated the room as brightly as during the day.
From then on, at night, the stars and moon in the painting would emit light, and it was naturally much more convenient for the old woman to spin thread against the stars and moon than before.
After Li Tianbao finished speaking, he curled his lips and showed a proud side, but all these things were told to him by "Pixiu Yan".
"This is so amazing, it's almost like a fairy tale." Jiang Tianqi said with a smile. But his admiration for Li Tianbao deepened a lot, including the old shop owner who also admired Li Tianbao.
"People of all ages like to make up many stories for great people. Although most of them are hearsay, they show great recognition of the achievements of the ancients. Wu Daozi was inspired and cultivated by the rich and colorful nature to create a novel that does not require outlining or putting pen to paper.
There is no doubt that he has become a famous painter with pioneering spirit in the history of Chinese art with his "splash-ink freehand landscape painting"."
"Then how much is this masterpiece of painting from a saint worth?" Jiang Tianqi couldn't help but ask Li Tianbao.
"The price is very high, but it doesn't mean anything to us, because after all, it's meant to be given as a gift." Li Tianbao even said the price of the painting, but he didn't say it. He was really afraid that the old man who owned the shop would think so when he found out.
He had a heart attack, but he didn't know that the old man who owned the shop had known the price for a long time.
"Okay, we should go find Cai Yujie. She should still be there. If we ask her to help introduce Councilor Cai, we will definitely get twice the result with half the effort."
At this time, Li Tianbao was full of support from Councilor Cai. As Councilor Cai had a grudge against Jiang Ba who wanted to assassinate him, he could use him as a backing to fight against Jiang Ba. He could also ask him for help to see if he could rescue Yamaguchi.
Show one.
After walking out, Li Tianbao and Jiang Tianqi began to look for Cai Yujie in the entire antique market, but they didn't even see her in the women's restroom.
"Brother Li, I've gone to the women's restroom twice and I haven't seen that woman. What should we do?" Jiang Tianqi didn't know what to do, so he had to ask Li Tianbao.
"Since I can't find him, forget it. Let's go back and find Zhang Xiao to see if we can help contact Councilman Cai."
Li Tianbao was actually quite unhappy. He had saved Cai Yujie's life when she was in danger. But just after they met clearly, she left. How could he not be angry?
Jiang Tianqi took Wu Daozi's landscape painting and followed Li Tianbao out of the antique city.
"Li Tianbao, I've been waiting for you for a long time, get in the car quickly." After the back door of a commercial vehicle at the door opened, Cai Yujie waved to Li Tianbao.
"So you are here, I thought you were gone?" Li Tianbao was a little unhappy, but at the same time he also felt a sense of luck. In any case, it would be great if he could successfully contact Congressman Cai.
Li Tianbao did not hesitate, walked into the car in two steps, and sat next to Cai Yujie. He discovered that the commercial vehicle had been modified, and was separated from the cab by a steel plate. Judging from the special material of the metal, it was
Bulletproof car.
"You can't get in the car." Just when Jiang Tianqi wanted to get in the car, the bodyguard at the door stopped him.
"Hey, what do you mean?" Jiang Tianqi was a little unhappy. It wasn't that the treatment was different, he was just afraid that Li Tianbao would encounter some danger.
Li Tianbao pondered for a moment, shook his head at Jiang Tianqi, indicating that he was in no danger, reached out to take Wu Daozi's painting, and then told Jiang Tianqi to go home and meet Wang Fei and others.
After the door was closed, the vehicle moved slowly. Cai Yujie, who was sitting opposite Li Tianbao, looked at him with a smile. When she discovered the injury on Li Tianbao's arm, she asked with some distress: "I'm sorry, I didn't notice you just now.
The injury on my arm, I went to the hospital before coming here, but they said you don’t know when to leave.”
Cai Yujie placed her hand next to the wound on Li Tianbao's arm and gently soothed it, then leaned over and blew gently on the wound.
"Wow, what a sexy cleavage."
"What are you looking at?" Cai Yujie asked, noticing something was wrong with Li Tianbao's eyes.
Li Tianbao quickly straightened himself up. In order to avoid embarrassment, he immediately asked, "By the way, what gifts did you buy in the antique city?"
"By the way, aren't you an antique dealer? Let me see if the thing I bought is worth the price." After Cai Yujie finished speaking, she took out a red jewelry box from her handbag and put it in front of Li Tianbao.
"It turns out to be a jade pendant, a top-quality Hetian jade." Li Tianbao opened the brocade box and found that there were two Hetian jade pendants inside, each in the shape of a Buddha and a Guanyin.
"A man wears Guanyin and a woman wears Buddha. Are you giving it to your boyfriend?"
Li Tianbao didn't know whether Cai Yujie had a boyfriend before, but he only thought of it when he saw that they were a pair of pendants.
"Boyfriend?" Cai Yujie was stunned for a moment, and after thinking about it, Li Tianbao said, "I don't know if he is a boyfriend, but I like him, but I don't know if he likes me."
"Oh no, she actually has someone she likes. It's not easy to win." Although Li Tianbao felt that things were difficult to handle, it was his character not to be afraid of challenges and to move forward courageously.
"So that's it!" After Li Tianbao finished speaking, he no longer mentioned the matter, but asked Cai Yujie about Councilor Cai. He obviously wanted to ask her to help introduce him to him.
Cai Yujie was extremely smart and understood what Li Tianbao meant. A strange smile suddenly appeared on her face, and she stared at Li Tianbao with her big eyes, as if a mother had discovered her child's little secret.
Li Tianbao felt a little uncomfortable being looked at by Cai Yujie, but giving gifts to curry favor with others was not an honest thing in his mind, so his eyes flickered a little, like a child who had made a mistake.
"Don't look at me like that. I just want to give you a gift. What's wrong?"
Li Tianbao was a little anxious when Cai Yufen saw him. He changed his submissive look and became more confident. He looked directly into her eyes without any trace of embarrassment.
Cai Yufen blinked her eyes. She had never looked at Li Tianbao for such a long time. Slowly, her face turned rosy. This was rare for such a beautiful woman.
Slowly, Li Tianbao looked at Cai Yufen's delicate complexion with a slight blush. In his eyes, she became more beautiful and more feminine, which made him suddenly want to kiss that skin.
"Don't be stingy, what are you afraid of? I don't care if you have someone you like, I'll tell you after you kiss me."
Li Tianbao thought for a while, and then slowly moved his face closer to Cai Yufen. At first, she shyly dodged, but then she stopped moving, but her body was trembling slightly because of shyness.
When Li Tianbao's lips were almost touching Cai Yufen's face, the car stopped, and at the same moment, the door was opened.
Cai Yufen quickly dodged Li Tianbao's mouth, and then walked out of the car with the help of a fashion girl.
Li Tianbao was naturally unhappy because this might be his last chance to kiss Cai Yufen. Obviously if she had a boyfriend, it would be difficult for him to have any good opportunities.
Li Tianbao walked out of the car door, and in front of him was a three-story building that was comparable to any villa. The ancient courtyard was filled with lush green trees, and almost the entire courtyard was covered with water except for the road. (To be completed.)
