Chapter Fifteen [God's Battlefield!]

Tashi slapped his forehead and suddenly said: "Thank you for reminding me, otherwise I really wouldn't be able to remember it. There is indeed a legend here, related to that barren mountain. Lama Gamaraje of Gonggar Monastery told me.

He said that in our Tibetan Buddhist scriptures, it is recorded that the barren mountain was a battlefield in ancient times!"

"Battlefield!?" Zuo Yan said very puzzledly: "Really or not, with such a high level of fear, it is difficult to get in, who would choose this place as a battlefield?"

"No, please listen to me first." Tashi's Chinese was already a bit poor, and it was even more difficult now that he was anxious: "That large barren mountain was left by the fight between two gods in the sky. Originally, there was also a long mountain there.

There are long mountains with many plants and forests. The great lama said that one of the two gods has a hammer.

The first one smashed the whole mountain into pieces with one hammer. What was originally a big mountain turned into flat ground with one hammer. In that battle, the two gods fought very fiercely. It seemed that another god with an ax appeared later.

The two gods were beaten back to the heaven. However, from then on, nothing grew in that large area!"

"The one holding the ax couldn't be Pan Gu's ancestor, could he?" Da Zhuang stared in surprise and said.

"You believe in gods fighting!" Shui Yueqing said angrily: "It must have been caused by the earthquake. Only nature can have such power!"

Da Zhuang chuckled: "I was joking just now. What kind of society is this? Don't talk about gods fighting. Even if you search the universe, you can find a god hair. It's good!"

"Pangu Dojo should be there! The great master with the ax should be Pangu." Long Xiaoxu suddenly said quietly, but no matter how he listened, there was an unconcealable sadness in his voice.

"Xiao Xu, what's wrong with you?" I turned around and asked.

Xiaoxu shook his head and said with a smile: "It's okay, I just suddenly thought of a friend from the past. After we have been to Gonggar Temple, there should be no mistake in going to that place again."

The group of people walked and chatted, riding like this for more than four hours, climbing over two mountain ridges and two valleys, and finally saw the mysterious ancient temple under the snowy peaks of Gongga Mountain. But what no one expected was that,

This Gonggar Monastery, which according to Tashi is one of the three holy places of the Karma Kagyu Sect (Bai Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism, is only two acres in size. It is a courtyard house that can be seen everywhere in Beijing!

"This is Gonggar Temple?" Da Zhuang pointed to the small courtyard in front of him in the dark night: "So small?"

Tashi hurriedly dismounted and said, "No matter how big or small a temple is, as long as there is a Buddha, it will be spiritual. I will say this to almost every Han Chinese who comes here. My Buddha is compassionate and does not compete with ostentation. One stick of incense is enough!"

I was stunned, but I didn’t expect that Tashi’s words in Chinese were quite authentic. I patted Xizi in my arms and said, “Xizi, don’t sleep!”

Xizi moved for a moment, then suddenly became startled. He hurriedly took off the hat covering his face and said with a sly smile: "I'm sorry, I fell asleep. Are you here?"

"Hmm." I said "Hmm" and jumped off the horse in a hurry. Then I took Xizi down and said to Tashi, "Why is it so quiet in the temple?"

Da Zhuang and Shui Yueqing also came over: "With such intense golden light just now, they can't sleep like this to death, can they?"

"Do you want to go up and knock on the door?" Zuo Yan asked. Long Xiaoxu casually transformed the little bracelet out of nowhere. As soon as the little girl came out, she started yelling, saying that Long Xiaoxu abused her and always gave her the ring.

middle.

Long Xiaoxu rolled his eyes at her and said with a smile: "Little girl, please don't be ignorant of the kindness of people. It's true that good intentions are not rewarded. Next time you are afraid again, I won't take you in."

"It's midnight, they must have fallen asleep. Go knock on the door!" Tashi said, and walked towards the temple first. This temple does not have a gate in the ordinary sense, but more like a street-facing building, with a total of two

Floor. Looking back, the land of less than two acres is covered with houses.

"Dang Dang Dang!" Knocked on the door several times, and then Tashi shouted in Tibetan.

Soon there was a faint light inside, and a lama shouted something, and then the door opened. Tashi hurriedly saluted, said a few words in Tibetan, and pointed to the top of Gonggar Temple while speaking. The lama was obviously not interested.

Knowing what just happened, he shook his head blankly.

Zhaxi immediately turned to me, spread his hands, and shook his head feebly: "This Zhaba said he didn't know anything, and asked if we need to stay overnight?"

"He's here, it's important to go in and have a look." I said, and then I motioned for Tashi to say something to the lama.

Buddhist temples emphasize compassion and compassion, so it was a pleasure to stay overnight. The lama opened the door of the temple and let me enter the main hall. He then said something to Tashi, then turned around and saluted all of us, and then hurriedly came to the meeting.

Walk to the backyard.

After waiting until the lama left, Tashi said with some relief: "That Zhaba will get up early tomorrow, so he gave me the key to the monk's room, so we can go there after watching it."

"Why did you call that lama Zhaba? Is that his name?" Shui Yueqing asked casually as he saw the lama walking away.

Zhaxi immediately smiled and said: "It's not his name. In our Tibetan Buddhism, Zhaba is equivalent to the novice monks in your Central Plains Buddhism. Lama and Khenpo are the titles of some monks who have achieved Taoism."

Xizi nodded: "Is he the only one in this small temple?"

"There should be one more. The monks from Gonggar Temple are usually in the new Gonggar Temple below. You may not know that there are two Gonggar Temples in total..." Tashi is still a young man, so naturally he wants to show off in front of the beautiful girl.

I was very attentive, so I gave the lecture to the two girls in great detail. The central content was that they usually practiced in the Xin Gonggar Temple down below. There were only one or two Drakpas chanting sutras and cleaning the temple.

Da Zhuang muttered as he turned around: "There are quite a lot of Bodhisattvas enshrined in this small temple!"

I smiled and said nothing. Although I had never heard of Gonggar Monastery before, I still knew something about some characters in Tibetan Buddhism. In addition, Tashi gave detailed explanations to the three girls like a tour guide, which also made me happy.

I got to know a little bit about this temple.

As he said, Gonggar Monastery is divided into Old Gonggar Monastery and New Gonggar Monastery. Old Gonggar Monastery is located at the foot of the main peak of Gonggar Mountain. It was built in the mid-13th century AD by the second Karmapa•

It was built by Karmapa Xi's direct disciple Zhababa (the first Kunga Living Buddha) and has a history of more than 600 years.

The hall we are in now is called the main hall, which is the Patriarch Hall. In the hall, the three founders of Kagyu, Master Marpa, Milarepa, Taporaj and the ninth Snow Mountain Dharma Lion Gongga Hutuktu are enshrined.

picture.

This hall is specially designed for people to worship. On the left side of the main hall is the Dharma Protector Hall, which is dedicated to the three major Dharma protectors of the Kagyu sect, Mahagana, Bandan Lhamo (Auspicious Heavenly Mother), and Dorje Lepa. The Dharma Protector Hall is a place for monks on duty to chant sutras on weekdays.

Several people walked around the main hall, and the three girls were immediately taken to the back of the main hall by Tashi. Xiaochuan hurriedly dragged me towards the back. Behind the main hall is the Sutra Hall, which is the main hall of the temple. Above the Sutra Hall

It enshrines the eight-incarnation statue of Padmasambhava, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, and the two Dakini Buddha Mothers, Kandrup Yesheshogyal and Najamendana. The Sutra Hall is the place where Drabas gather to chant sutras during the temple's annual summer Dharma assembly.

After reading the sutra hall, several people followed Tashi to the backyard. On the left side of the backyard is a simple Guanyin Hall. In the center of the hall is a colorfully clad Thousand-Armed Thousand-Eyed Guanyin Bodhisattva about 5 meters high.

The Bodhisattva is surrounded by two layers of prayer wheels, and pilgrims come here to kowtow and turn their heads.

There is also a pool in the temple, which is a spring water drawn from the mountain behind Gonggar Temple. It is said that the second Karmapa used his magical power to draw it out. The locals regard it as holy water. All people who come here to worship the mountain

They would fill a bottle with it and bring it back to their families, saying it could drive away evil spirits and cure diseases.

In 1939, the Han Chinese yogi Master Chen Jianmin, a disciple of Gongshi, practiced retreat here for more than two years. In 1942, Ms. Shen Shuwen, a descendant of the Manchu royal family (a disciple of Gongshi, the elderly Gongga from Taiwan) came again.

There have been three years of practice in the temple. Mountaineering teams from various countries that have climbed here over the years have also used the old Gonggar Temple as their base camp. Of course, it is winter now, and there is no camp outside Gonggar Temple.

As soon as Tashi finished the introduction, suddenly there was a sound of horses neighing outside the door. Everyone was stunned. Tashi yelled and ran out immediately: "Hurry up, the horses are in danger!"

When Dazhuang and I heard this, we jumped on the roof and ran towards the door. The two of them ducked and appeared at the door. We saw a horse lying on the ground and writhing. Dazhuang was about to go over, and I

He pulled him back: "Be careful! Look at the horse!"

"What the hell, why is the horse swollen so much!" After Da Zhuang saw it clearly, he couldn't help but tremble in fear.

I quickly opened my eyes, and the scenery in front of me became much clearer. When I saw clearly what was on the horse, my heart suddenly trembled: "It's a snake, it's that snake! Why did it get here!?"

When Da Zhuang heard this, he immediately shouted: "Damn! What are you waiting for? Let's do it!" As soon as he finished speaking, he jumped off the roof of the front hall.

I shouted loudly and followed closely, just in time to see Zuo Yan and Tashi running out of it. Tashi was so shocked when he saw us two appearing outside, his eyes widened: "You, you...

Aren't you behind me?"

"That snake is here! Go back to the main hall and close the door!" I didn't have time to explain, so I shouted to Zuo Yan and Tashi, and then followed Da Zhuang and ran towards the horse that fell to the ground.

"Damn it, there is a road to heaven but you don't take it, and there is no door to hell and you just barge in! Let's see how Mr. Zhuang tears your mouth apart today!" Da Zhuang roared and pounced on you.

"Oh shit, be careful, don't capsize in the gutter!" When I ran over, Da Zhuang was already lying on the horse and was looking for the snake's head along the body! This is really brave for a skilled person to encounter such a big snake.

Snakes, not to mention humans, even an adult crocodile must be hated. Not to mention someone like Da Zhuang, who carelessly grabs the snake's head!

The giant snake had a snake crown, so it was naturally not a bad thing. Just when Da Zhuang was about to touch it, the giant snake's huge head suddenly emerged from under the horse, opened its bloody mouth and pounced on Da Zhuang.

past.

Thank you Shuangye Xiaolin for the gold medal. Jiutian knows that it is meaningless to say such empty words of thanks. Therefore, in order to give you substantial rewards, starting from the next gold medal, for each additional gold medal, I will add 2,000 words to the existing one.

Updates, hehe, don’t be too little, folks. In fact, Jiutian also wants to update one more chapter if he wants to get a gold medal, but I’m afraid that the quality will not be guaranteed, so it’s better to be safe.
