Chapter 57: Mrs. Murong

Murong Shang came to Shengchang Longmingpin Store. The door was closed. He patted the door a few times and someone opened the door.

Ye Rong leaned against the door and quietly looked at the man with a beautiful face in front of her. She whispered: "Why are you here so late?"

Murong Shang saw that her face was haggard and her eyes were slightly red, as if she had just cried. He couldn't help but feel distressed and said, "Do you think of Qing'er again?"

Ye Rong's eyes stayed on his face for a long time before she said: "Yeah."

"Go in and talk!" Murong Shang stretched out his hand to hold her, but Ye Rong subconsciously avoided it. Murong Shang asked, "What's wrong?"

Ye Rong forced a smile and said, "I'll close the door." After saying that, she reached out and closed the door.

Passing through the store is the back hall, where the two sisters lived on weekdays. The backroom was simply furnished, with a tung oil lamp as big as a bean burning on the table, which would flicker on and off when the wind blew.

Murong Shang pulled her to sit down, stared at her haggard face, and said, "It's useless to think too much. Everyone is gone. You can't ruin your body."

Ye Rong lowered his head, hummed, and stopped talking.

Murong Shang saw her like this and knew that she must be in a bad mood, so he said: "Let's postpone our marriage for a while. We can do it after you feel better, okay?"

Ye Rong raised her head, her eyes were like stars, she looked at him intently, and said a little stubbornly: "No, there is no need to delay, just do it on the original date."

Murong Shuang was stunned, "Are you sure?"

Ye Rong said: "Qing'er is worried about me the most. As long as I get married, she will feel at ease."

Murong Sheng sighed, held her slender hand, looked at her increasingly thin chin, and said distressedly: "Rong'er, I will never let you suffer at all in this life."

Ye Rong looked at him and asked, "Does your mother agree to our marriage?"

Murong Shan smiled and said dotingly: "Fool, my mother has been hoping for me to get married for a day or two. It's too late for her to be happy, so why would she object?"

There was something strange in Ye Rong's eyes. She smiled casually and said, "As long as she agrees." After a pause, she asked again, "What happened to Qing'er, do you think it was a mistake or was someone harmed?"

Murong Shang was a little surprised, "Who would harm her? Such a good girl, don't think too much, no one will harm her."

"You also think she is a good girl? I just think she has always been so healthy and is used to walking on mountain roads. How could she suddenly lose her footing and fall off a cliff?" There was a wry smile on Ye Rong's lips, and she put her hand on Murong Shang's face.

, asked him quietly, "If one day you find out that Qing'er was harmed by someone, will you help her avenge her?"

"Of course!" Murong Shang said, and said lightly, "Why do you ask like this? You are my wife, and Qing'er is my sister. How can I not avenge her?"

"What if that person is someone you care about?" Ye Rong asked again.

Murong Shang smiled and said, "The only person I care about is you."

Ye Rong sighed softly, "Brother Murong, don't be too nice to me. If one day, I don't have you in my life, I don't know how to adapt."

"Who am I to be good to if I am not good to you? You, because of Qing'er's affairs, you are not allowed to think about it anymore. Try to be happy and be the most beautiful bride." Murong Shang scratched her nose and held her hand again.

He held his hand and said affectionately: "I will never leave you in my life. My promise will remain unchanged throughout my life."

He remembered that Chu Ye had said that he would not make promises easily in the future, and he thought so too. However, at this moment, he made this promise to Ye Rong carefully and would use his life to abide by it.

Ye Rong took the initiative to kiss his eyes and said softly: "Brother Murong, knowing you is the happiest thing in my life."

"Me too!" Murong Shang stretched out his arms to hug her and sighed, "You don't know, you have been so cold to me these past few days. I thought you had changed."

"My heart for you will never change in my life." Ye Rong said quietly. In the dim light, tears overflowed from her bright eyes and flowed to her mouth. She felt so miserable.

In Murong's mansion, a woman in rich clothes stood by the window. The plane trees in the yard were rustled by the wind. She had not yet taken off her makeup. She was wearing a first-grade lady's court dress. The red court dress reflected her rosy and smooth face.

It's nearly fifty years old, but it's been well maintained and looks like it's only about forty.

"Have you found that dead ghost?" Her voice was filled with coldness and disgust. She didn't even want to mention his name, so she replaced it with that dead ghost.

"Madam, I can't find him." The person who answered her was a monk behind her. "The poor monk has searched the entire capital, but he can't find Ye Qing, nor can he find the two women who came out to cause trouble at night.

"

"Trash, I spent so much money to support you, and asked you to help the Murong Mansion solve problems, but you can't even do a small thing." Mrs. Murong's face showed a fierce look, and she turned around and said coldly: "I'll give you three days.

Time, if we can’t find Ye Qing, we have to drive Ye Rong out.”

"Madam, you can rest assured about this. Ye Rong is much easier to deal with than Ye Qing." The monk said.

Madam Murong sneered: "You are wrong, Ye Qing is a reckless girl, what is so difficult to deal with? I can stab her to death with one finger. But, I don't want her to die, I want Shan'er to give up on her completely.

Otherwise, it won't help if she leaves the capital, and Shan'er will still find her back. I want Shan'er to feel sick when he thinks of this woman in the future."

The monk was stunned, "What do you mean, madam?"

"If you don't understand what I mean, you don't have to hang out in Murong Mansion." Madam Murong said coldly, "Get out."

The monk pondered for a moment, then he suddenly understood and said with a smile: "I know, this poor monk knows how to do it."

Only then did a smile appear on Mrs. Murong's face. She looked at the monk and asked, "You are a monk, are you not afraid of retribution?"

The monk snorted and said: "Retribution? I am a disciple of Buddhism and I will not go to hell in the future. What retribution will I have?"

"It's best if you don't worry. The master is an outsider. You should know this matter. I didn't tell you to do it, but you made your own decision. In the future, if this matter comes out, in front of Shan'er, you have to admit that it's your own fault.

That's the idea." Madam Murong said coldly.

The monk said: "Madam, don't worry. If madam hadn't rescued the poor monk, he would have met the Buddha a long time ago. How could he enjoy all the glory and wealth here?" Having been a monk all his life, he thought that all he had left in his life was practicing Buddhism and chanting sutras.

But he didn't expect that there were so many good things in the world, no wonder even those cultivating fairies had to join the world. Of course, he knew that when he left Murong Mansion, all these would cease to exist.

The night wind was awe-inspiring, with a bit of the coolness of early autumn. Mrs. Murong said to the girl: "Jing'er, remove my makeup and prepare hot water."

"Yes, madam!" The girl behind her, Jing'er, remained expressionless, turning a deaf ear to the words of the two of them.

"Who has been here tonight?" Mrs. Murong asked Jing'er.

Jing'er was a little confused, "Did you remember it wrong, madam? Who has been here tonight?"

Mrs. Murong then smiled with satisfaction, "I just like well-behaved people."

Jing'er remained silent and quietly untied the decoration on her head, lowering her eyebrows. However, when she turned around to pick up the jewelry box, there was still a hint of awe and sadness on her face.
