841. Staying Home 3

"Shang Shang, are you scared?" He asked softly, holding her hand and rubbing it constantly to relieve the tension in her body.

Chang Shang shook her head, bit her lower lip, and whispered, "I want to go home quickly."

"Be home soon."

He didn't know what to say to ease the condensed atmosphere.

In desperation, he pulled her into his arms and patted her shoulder gently, once and for all, until she leaned her head on his shoulder, and then he breathed a sigh of relief.

But I feel guilty and upset in my heart.

He should try to avoid such things as much as possible, but he would always keep it secret and let her experience things with him that she shouldn't have to experience.

==================================================

========

After returning home and washing up, Chang Mian asked someone to prepare two bowls of ginger soup, and each person drank one bowl to drive away the cold.

Chang Shang insisted on taking care of little Cheche every step of the way. Chang Mian had no choice but to take little Cheche to the master bedroom.

It was already past six in the morning and it was still dark, so Chang Mian forced her to sleep.

Chang Shang shook her head: "I can't sleep."

"You have to sleep even if you can't sleep. Are you scared? It's all my fault..." He forced her onto the bed and covered her with a quilt: "If you don't sleep, you might get sick. How will you take care of little Cheche then?"

But at this moment, she turned over and hugged him tightly, burying her cold body in his arms, and said in a choked voice:

"Chang Mian, I don't want anything to happen to little Cheche. Can you promise me that our son will grow up safely?"

"Of course I will grow up peacefully, what are you thinking about?" He coaxed.

But Chang Shang was uneasy. Thinking of the possible accidents in the future, like today, whether she was sick or attacked, her heart felt as if she was stepping on cotton. She was extremely unsteady and afraid of such things.

If there is one, there are two; if there are two, there are three.

"But I'm worried."

Chang Mian sighed softly.

He touched her soft hair as if coaxing a child and rubbed it a few times: "You have been taking care of your children at home recently. Don't go out if you have nothing to do. If you need anything, ask the servant to buy it."

"Um."

She nodded: "Is it my fault? I should stay in Hawaii as expected, right? The murderers who killed your parents have not been found yet. I shouldn't have to come back willfully. I'm staying in Hawaii."

It’s been a year and nothing has happened.”

But.

Thinking that she was hiding alone in Hawaii and enjoying peace, while he was living in danger every day, she felt anxious and uneasy.

"Who are they tonight? Are they the same group as those who killed your parents?"

"Probably." Chang Mian obviously didn't want to talk about this matter: "Okay, don't think about it, go to sleep, and be good. I promise to do my best to prevent you from experiencing such a thing again. Tonight, I was negligent.

, which frightened you and your child.”

"I'm not afraid," she shook her head, leaning against his chest and listening to his strong heartbeat: "I'm just afraid that something might happen to Che'er, and I can't bear the slightest bit of harm from him."

I can't stand any harm from you.

Chang Mian lightly knocked his eyes, placed his lips on the top of her head, kissed her gently, and said, "Sleep."
