51. Lake God Sacrifice

Everyone was stunned. They stared at the changes in the lake with their mouths wide open. They even forgot to scream and flee.

Immediately afterwards, a dazzling white light swept out of the water column and burst into the small courtyard where Ruyi was located at lightning speed.

The sound of rumbling is endless.

All this happened too fast. By the time everyone reacted, the room where Ruyi was lying had been smashed into pieces.

The courtyard is full of broken walls.

Lao Liu and Lao Qi hurriedly went in to check on Ruyi, but could not find her anywhere. Miraculously, the stench had also dissipated.

The Taoist priest did not expect such a scene to appear.

He knew how much he weighed, and with his ability he would never be able to do this.

He kept shouting in his heart that God has eyes, and that performing a ritual can have such a sensational effect. He was originally worried about how to explain to the Chu family, but now that the sick woman who was haunted by ghosts has disappeared, it is even more...

It relieved his worries.

The Taoist priest had an incomprehensible look on his face and placed his sword on the altar. He looked at the calm lake with his hands behind his back.

Master Chu couldn't sit still anymore. He stood up and came over. He held the Taoist priest's hand tightly and exclaimed: "Master! What a master!"

The Taoist priest smiled and said: "I am so ridiculous, I am just trying my best. The poor Taoist has made up his mind since the day he came down from the mountain to conquer demons and bring benefits to the people."

Mr. Chu was so moved by these words that he hurriedly asked someone to take the Taoist priest to collect the reward, and invited the Taoist priest to stay at his house for a few more days.

How can a Taoist priest dare to stay longer? He just got lucky. The longer he stays, the more likely he is to make mistakes. Taking the money and leaving is the best option.

The Taoist priest waved his hand and said: "Thank you for your kindness, but it is still not advisable for a poor Taoist to stay for a long time. There are still many demons and demons outside that are causing trouble and intruding on the people. If I stay for a long time, who will support the people..."

Mr. Chu praised him and said, "What the master said is true, so I won't try to keep him."

The Taoist priest was about to collect the money. The sixth and seventh laozi ran over, knelt down in front of the Taoist priest and said, "Master! Master! Has this monster been removed?"

The Taoist priest glanced at them sideways and was very dissatisfied, wondering where the ungrateful servants came from to prevent him from making a fortune.

"That's natural." The Taoist priest said coolly.

"But the house was destroyed and the walls fell down, and there was no trace of the girl in the house. Now that the ghost has been eliminated, where did the girl go?" Lao Liu asked.

"This..." the Taoist priest rolled his eyes and blurted out the lie, "That was the appearance of the Lake God just now. The Lake God only intervened in this matter because of the poor Taoist. As for that girl, it is very likely that the Lake God will use it as a sacrifice.

The product was taken away."

"Sacrifice..." Lao Liu and Lao Qi looked at each other. If they become sacrifices, wouldn't it mean that Ruyi's life is not guaranteed...

Master Chu saw that the Taoist priest was upset by the problems of Lao Liu and Lao Qi, so he hurriedly waved his hands and said, "You guys should go down quickly. We can discuss other small matters after sending the master away."

The sixth and seventh elders did not dare to say anything when they saw the master speaking, so they stood up and gave in.

The two of them felt very uncomfortable watching the master, his wife, and the Taoist priest leave talking and laughing.

They, the servants, usually serve carefully and take care of everything. In the end, these superior gentlemen and ladies don't care at all whether they live or die.

Thinking of the dead eldest daughter Xiaowu and the missing Ruyi, Lao Liu and Lao Qi felt sad beyond words.
