Chapter 28 Gifts

Aunt Tian saw Gong Xue running upstairs holding a dark object and thought something was wrong.

"Xiaoxue, what did you get? Do you want my help?" Gong Xue's cold has not gone away yet, and recently I often hear her coughing in the middle of the night.

Gong Xue paused at the corner of the stairs, stuck her head out, smiled at Aunt Tian downstairs and said, "It's okay, I'll put something upstairs and I'll be down soon."

Aunt Tian saw that she was very happy, and she felt much relieved. She waved, "Come down quickly, dinner will be served soon."

"Oh, I know." He disappeared in an instant.

Gong Xue locked the door and stood in front of the desk, staring at the ordinary black package on the table.

There was still a page left on the parcel list. She put her hand on her heart, took a deep breath, and then looked closer.

Because of the travel and soaking in snow, many of the writings have been blurred.

But just like before, she immediately identified the two handwritings of Gong Xue who received the letter and Gao Yuan who sent the package.

It was sent by him.

It was the first time I saw his handwriting. It was square, strong, tough and handsome. Just like his person, it was unforgettable.

What's inside?

She had carried some weight, not heavy, but judging by the size, it looked like clothes or something like that.

Did he give her clothes?

After staring at it without blinking for a long time, she raised her sleeves and wiped the melted snow off the package.

When doing these actions, the corners of her mouth were always curved.

After thinking about it, she put the package into the top space of the bookcase. She was afraid of falling, so she stuffed it deeper.

"Xiaoxue, it's time to eat--" Aunt Tian was urging her.

She responded, ran to the door, opened it, took two steps, and then stopped.

She thought of something and felt uneasy, so she turned back, took off the package from the top of the desk, put it in the only locked closet in the house, locked it, and then ran downstairs.

Because the second aunt settled the house payment, her attitude towards her family has become much friendlier than in previous years.

Even when Gong Xue took the initiative to add seats to Aunt Tian and Xiao Wang, she didn't say anything sarcastic.

Mr. Gong was the happiest one. As soon as he finished eating, he sent generous red envelopes to Gong Xue and Gong Tao.

Gong Tao was still young, so he took out the lucky money in front of his grandfather.

Ten brand new hundred dollar bills.

He excitedly grabbed Gong Xue and wanted to open the red envelope in her hand, but Gong Xue cleverly avoided it.

"We have the same number, and grandpa won't be partial." After saying that, she winked at her energetic grandpa.

Gong Tao trusted her the most and stopped messing around. However, the second aunt misunderstood that the old man gave Gong Xue more New Year's money. She said lukewarmly: "Taotao, you are so stupid. How can you compare with your sister? She is your grandfather's heart."

I should have more meat than you." This is not the first time. In previous years, she never let anyone see her red envelopes. It was obvious that she had more meat than Gong Tao.

Mr. Gong's face darkened, and just as he was about to speak, his hand was held by a familiar warmth.

Gong Xue gently shook her head at her grandfather, signaling him not to get involved.

The second aunt was still chattering there, and the second uncle's face was not good-looking. Gong Tao clutched the red envelope tightly, lowered his head, and his ears were red. Xiao Wang was an elf, and he had gone to hide in the kitchen with Aunt Tian as early as the beginning of the war.

"Second Aunt." Gong Xue called out and handed her unopened red envelope to Gong Tao, "Taotao and I will exchange."
