148. The jealous mother-in-law

"Why don't you go quickly..." Haitang winked, and her mother-in-law happily returned to her yard to set up the loom.

Haitang let out a long sigh, then sat on the stool and stretched his muscles.

Seeing that her mother-in-law was gone, the mute girl brought a cup of hot tea to Haitang, and Tian Niu and Wintersweet also came out.

"We have to think of a way to prevent my mother from entering the yard of our dyeing house in the future, and we can just weave in the yard at home." Tian Niu was still aggrieved by what happened just now.

Although Tian Niu's words were unintentional, they coincided with Haitang's thoughts. Her mother-in-law should not be blindly involved in the dyeing workshop. She had to find a suitable opportunity to let her stay in her one-third of an acre of land.

"Sister Haitang, I forgot to ask you if your day went well?" Lamei rubbed her thighs.

"Look, this is the order we received today." Haitang took out the account she had written down.

Tian Niu couldn't read at all, so Lamei was able to figure out the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

If you add each color together, you get exactly four pieces of cloth, but they are all scattered.

"Four pieces of cloth, the journey was not in vain. How was your dyeing today?" Haitang asked.

"If mother-in-law doesn't come, we can still dye more." Wintersweet pointed to the cloth that was drying, and Haitang looked at it with satisfaction. She was not here. The three girls were really not lazy and dyed a lot.

!

"You guys have worked hard too." Haitang said and asked Tian Niu to cook some peanuts and add the seasonings as she said. What she cooked was five-spice peanuts.

Haitang led Lamei and the mute girl to cut the cloth according to today's scheduled size. After cutting it to seven or seven, there were a lot of one and a half feet of cloth left, which Haitang felt was a pity.

Tian Niu's peanuts were almost cooked, and they were taken out and placed on the wooden table in the dyeing workshop. The four girls were picking up the peanuts while laughing and joking. The peanuts were not cold yet and were still a little hot to the touch, but this could not stop the four foodies from being interested in new things.

An unrelenting attempt.

"Oh, I burned my tongue..." Tian Niu was greedy and had the fastest hands. Others burned their fingers, but she burned her tongue instead, making everyone laugh.

Granny Haitang heard laughter from across the yard and glanced away.

"My daughter has been ruined. I really need to find a good girl for the number one scholar who is obedient and filial to me. She doesn't have to show off and is filial to me. Humph, even if she cooks delicious food, she won't bring it to me first."

After eating the peanuts, Haitang picked a few large pieces from the cloth and distributed them to everyone. Then he went back to lock the edges. It would be good to make handkerchiefs.

In the end, there were still a few half-foot pieces left, which couldn't even be made into handkerchiefs. Haitang had an idea and cut the cloth into long strips, made it into the shape of a bow, and tied it on the chest like a brooch.

The cloth is also wrapped around thin bamboo and tied with a bow in the middle. The bamboo has good elasticity and is bent at both ends to form a hairpin. When worn on the head, it has a unique rustic style.

"Sister Haitang, you have so many ideas." Wintersweet, Tian Niu, and the mute girl each wore bow hairpins and bows on their chests, which made them look much better than usual.

"It's beautiful, it's cool, I'm really not ashamed of myself..." The mother-in-law glanced at the dyeing shop, "I want to weave more and earn back the copper coins." The mother-in-law weaved even more vigorously.

Wintersweet and Tianniu did make handkerchiefs, but the mute girl didn't.

She had her own idea, and after asking for permission, she took out the dye from the dye vat, a little of each color, and then dipped a pen in it to draw on the cloth.
