59. Sleeping in the woods

These two plants have a strong smell after being crushed, which can block a person's body odor and deceive beasts like wild boars whose sense of smell is not particularly sensitive.

Continuing to move forward, Bai Haitang became more cautious, not only worrying about wild beasts, but also worried about encountering poisonous flowers and poisonous weeds.

What's even worse is that you don't accidentally step on the trap set by the hunters. There are rows of sharpened bamboos underneath. If you fall by mistake, you may never be able to get back.

The sound of explosives just now startled the birds and beasts of all sizes that were lurking around, and they all dispersed for a moment.

After walking for another hour, there was still no sign of roselle around.

I picked some red lantern fruits and wolfberry dates and kiwi fruits to fill my stomach, and put the leftovers into a parcel. Along the way, Bai Begonia tied rag strips to the branches of the big trees as road signs to avoid getting lost when going back.

It was getting dark and still nothing was found.

Bai Haitang found a place with a relatively wide view, used branches as a shelter, and relied on two big trees to make a simple shelter, so she could only spend the night in the forest.

When the cold air came at night, Bai Haitang dug a hole with branches and lit a torch inside to keep warm, so as to prevent wild animals from being attracted by the light of the fire.

Although wild animals are afraid of fire, if they attack in groups, this firewood cannot stop them at all.

Relying on the big tree, after all, people in the barren mountains did not dare to sleep deeply. They took a light sleep for a while and rested intermittently. Before entering the light sleep, something fell from the tree onto Bai Haitang's face, and slowly moved toward her.

Climbing up, it's soft, tender, and itchy.

Bai Haitang took it off and looked at it carefully through the extinguishing light of the fire.

At first glance, I thought it was a caterpillar, but upon closer inspection, I realized it was a silkworm.

This big tree is not any other tree, but a mulberry tree, and the rustling sounds on it are caused by silkworms floating around.

Bai Haitang's face was full of surprise as if he had discovered a treasure house. The county annals did not mention that silkworms were found here.

The presence of silkworms means the presence of silk, and cloth woven from natural silk cannot be compared to plant fibers.

Bai Haitang was afraid that the silkworms would run away, so that night she took out two other empty bamboo tubes, put some mulberry leaves in them, caught some adult silkworms and put them in, and poked a few ventilation holes.

There was also one in Mulgshuqiaotou Village. When Bai Haitang saw it, she wondered why there were no silkworms.

It turns out that silkworms are hiding here.

"Baby silkworm, don't panic, sleep well, I will take you on a trip tomorrow, and then we will settle down in Qiaotou Village and we will take good care of you, but you must also multiply more and more silkworms will prosper."

Bai Haitang muttered to himself and fell asleep contentedly.

I don't know how long I slept, but I was woken up by the sound of "Go, go, go..." in the night.

When I opened my eyes, my eyes were bright.

In the open space not far away, a man was waving a torch to drive away the wolves!

That late night, under the firelight, his green eyes stared at the man as closely as he stared at the food, focused and determined to win.

Even though there were torches rising all around, the wolves were still approaching.

Bai Haitang counted a total of twelve wolves. The man only had a torch, a bow, and a few arrows on his back. Even with one arrow, he could not kill all the wolves.

He has a higher chance of being eaten. If Bai Haitang doesn't take action.

Bai Haitang observed for a while. The wolves were united and slowly approaching with caution and caution. The man was almost at the end of his rope and was about to be surrounded.
