66. Black spider silk

"Daddy will roast pheasant for you. Miss Haitang, if you don't mind, you can play with Wanwan for a while." The uncle's tone softened a lot, and it was obvious that he must be very fond of his daughter Wanwan.

Bai Haitang nodded in agreement.

Wanwan had already taken her hand and walked into the cave. The furs were spread on the wooden bed, which was clean and tidy and looked warm.

Wanwan took out a small table board with some grids carved on it, took out stones, and taught Haitang how to play the game of skipping stones.

Haitang played with her for a while and found that Wanwan was a smart child.

"Sister, can I teach you a new way of playing?" Bai Haitang asked.

She blinked her thick eyelashes and nodded.

Bai Haitang found some round stones and some square ones, and then used a bamboo knife to draw the big ones on the wooden table into small grids, thus forming a simple Go board.

"You use a round one, and I'll use a square one. No turning is allowed. Let's see who can connect the five stones into a straight line first." Bai Haitang demonstrated, and it became clear after the twist.

"Sister, what's this game called?" Wanwan likes backgammon very much.

"Five Sons in a row."

The two finished a few more games, and then the aunt came over to greet the two of them for dinner.

Fragrant roasted pheasant, tender on the outside, numb and crispy on the inside.

The careful uncle cut everything into small pieces.

Haitang took out the remaining flatbread, salted duck eggs, and eggs in the package and handed them to the aunt.

"I didn't bring anything with me. These were brought out from home. You live here all year round, so you don't have much chance of eating these things. I'll leave them to you. Wanwan is growing, so eating a little bit of everything is nutritious and balanced."

Hurry." Bai Haitang said.

The aunt was polite and accepted it.

After eating, Bai Haitang tied a feather duster with beautiful pheasant feathers. Seeing that there were still a lot of feathers piled up in the kitchen, used for making fires, she felt it was a pity, so she sorted them and removed the big stems.

Then I took out a piece of cloth I brought with me, wrapped it, and sewed it up, so that a feather pillow was formed.

This is the second gift for Wanwan. It is very comfortable to lean on the back of the bed and sit under the buttocks. Wanwan likes it very much.

"Miss Haitang, you are really ingenious." The aunt smiled and brought some wild fruits.

"Auntie, you won the prize. It's not worth mentioning. By the way, I've never seen what the bags that contained the pheasant and fox were made of. They look very strong." Bai Haitang took the opportunity to ask.

"You said this." The aunt took the bag and put it in Bai Haitang's hand.

Haitang pinched it and knew it in her heart. It was a good thing. It was soft, elastic, slender, but strong, and also wear-resistant. This bag seemed to have been used for a long time, and there was no trace of cracking like a string.

Despite this, the material is still invisible. It is very smooth and will not fall off your hands. It is definitely not a nylon rope.

"This is the spider silk bag." said the aunt.

"Spider silk?" Bai Haitang only knew that silkworms could produce silk before, but the spider's knot was very fragile. It would break when the wind blows, so she could only stick to some flying insects. If she was lucky, she could get a moth and a dragonfly.

The aunt led Bai Haitang to the corner of the kitchen and opened a large box. There were dozens of black spiders inside. At first glance, they looked quite scary.

That big belly reminded Haitang of the spider spirit Tang Monk encountered...

A black spider is as big as a child's hand...
