75. Being targeted by villains

Lamei followed Bai Haitang, her mood plummeting. She no longer wanted to see the colorful scenery of the county, especially the county's young master.

The two of them passed through several streets selling steamed buns, pancakes, fruits, and vegetables.

Finally, Bai Haitang found the most crowded place in the county, the pedestrian street.

On both sides of this street, there are other people's shops, including silversmith shops, furniture shops, restaurants, rouge and gouache shops, antique shops, embroidery shops, and cloth shops.

There are various small vendors gathered one meter away from each shop, selling candied haws, rattles, roasted chestnuts, flower cakes, shoe repairmen, ghostwriters for family letters, fortune tellers, hair accessories and clothing, all kinds of things are endless...

In Bai Haitang's eyes, this is a bustling commercial street and a downtown area.

"Wow, it's almost as lively as our big gathering." Lamei sighed with emotion.

Bai Haitang observed for a while. Some vendors finished selling their goods and left, while new vendors came in with burdens.

Bai Haitang let Lamei look at the cloth cart while he went into a nearby cloth shop.

There were more than a dozen colors of cloth on the shelf, but the dyed colors were all too old and earthy. To put it simply, the colors were wrong.

After asking about the price, which was three copper coins per foot, Bai Haitang had an idea.

"Girl, the color of your skirt is nice. Doesn't it look like the cloth from our county?" the cloth seller said with a keen eye.

"Brought back from the capital." Bai Haitang left Buzhuang after saying that.

He and Lamei pushed the cart to an empty space and opened the colored curtains. All nine colors of fabrics were exposed. The bright colors blinked and eclipsed everything around them.

"Dyeing cloth, dyeing cloth, selling dyed cloth, freshly baked dyed cloth, the best dyed cloth, no fading, no pilling..." She yelled, but Lamei's voice stopped talking.

In front of the car, people from the county town quickly gathered.

"What a beautiful cloth, nice skirt, pink, I want the pink one!" The girls marveled, all attracted by the beautiful color.

"I want green, green, six feet."

"Three feet of daughter red, three feet of turmeric..."

After a while, the cloth stall was surrounded by people with five copper coins per foot of cloth. Bai Haitang was shocked by the spending power of the women in the county.

"I want gouache. Give me the last three feet."

"I already want this gouache, you're late."

The best-selling item is gouache, and within an hour, a piece of cloth has been wiped out.

Neither wintersweet nor white begonia needs introduction, the cloth itself is the best proof.

The two of them were busy measuring cloth and collecting copper plates. Their pockets were heavy, and there were too many copper plates, so the weight was heavy.

At this time, five or six sturdy men came over with great momentum.

"Get out of the way, get out of the way..." The burly man pushed and shouted, pushing all the cloth-buying customers aside. However, he stopped in front of Bai Haitang's car.

Lamei subconsciously took two steps back. She knew in her heart that she had encountered evil people again, and they were blatant evil people. Why did she and Sister Haitang encounter evil people in such a large county?

"You set up a stall here to sell cloth, have you paid the rent?" One of the big men stepped on the cart. If he applied even a little force, the cart would probably break.

"There are people coming and going here. I watched them for a long time, but none of the other vendors paid." Bai Haitang was calm and collected. We have seen a lot of urban management.

"I teach for monthly rent." Another big man also stepped on the car, angrily.
