22. Chapter 22 Wilderness Survival 1

In order to prevent his whereabouts from being discovered by passers-by, so that the Fu family would know where he was going if they inquired later, Hua Xiaogu took many detours around the town.

Along the way, many neighbors met her and greeted Hua Xiaogu with pity and flattery on their faces.

Whenever someone said hello, Hua Xiaogu knew who the person was almost immediately and greeted them one by one.

When others asked her where she was going, she pretended to smile bitterly and replied that Xiaoyun Town could not survive and her family was gone, so she was going to join distant relatives in Lin County.

It wasn't until noon, when everyone went home to eat and the streets were sparsely populated, that Hua Xiaogu quietly went up the mountain.

There are not many people who come to this hill on weekdays. Xiaoyun Town is relatively prosperous, so there are almost no hunters who rely on the mountain to make a living. Unless they are really poor people, they will occasionally pick up some firewood at the foot of the mountain, deep in the mountain,

But there are no people there.

Hua Xiaogu was conceited that he had been a soldier in his previous life, so he was brave enough to carry his heavy burden all the way up the mountain.

After eating a lot of good food in Tianfu, Hua Xiaogu's body is now much better than before. After climbing halfway up the mountain, Hua Xiaogu's eyes lit up and he discovered a really good place.

A small spring was springing out. The spring water gushes out and flows down the stones, and then gradually merges with the creek not far away.

The terrain here is slightly gentler, with a relatively intact large rock at its back, a flat land in front of it, and a stream in the distance.

Hua Xiaogu looked up at the sun and determined the location here. Based on her simple knowledge of wild survival in her previous life, the land here was flat, the lee was hidden, and there was a stream not far away.

It's a nice place, why not settle down here first.

Hua Xiaogu threw his huge package on the ground, then started to use the woodcutter to sweep away the fallen leaves and broken branches.

After confirming that there were no insects or snakes hiding under the fallen leaves nearby, Hua Xiaogu became more and more satisfied.

She hid her big parcel in a small cave under a big rock, then put the dagger on her body and went back to the town.

She had to go buy something while it was still daylight.

When we returned to town, it was already afternoon.

Although Hua Xiaogu still has a lot of money now, she can't spend it carelessly. She expects to live on the money in the future, so she can't spend it all at once, right?

However, some necessities still have to be purchased.

Hua Xiaogu first went to the pharmacy and bought some necessary medicine for golden sores, as well as realgar, lime and mugwort to repel snakes and insects.

Then I went to the cloth store and bought more than ten meters of strong oil paper cloth for making umbrellas.

Finally, Hua Xiaogu went to the grain store and bought nothing else but a lot of sweet potatoes and a small handful of salt...

The salt here is really horrifyingly expensive. Hua Xiaogu feels a little bit pained, but he still has to buy these necessities.

After making a large purchase, Hua Xiaogu hurried back to the base area he had just chosen before sunset.

I didn't eat much all day, and when I returned to the base area, I was almost starving.

Seeing that the sun was about to set, and once it got dark, the temperature would definitely drop immediately. Hua Xiaogu quickly took out flint from the big package, picked up a lot of dry leaves and branches, and began to try to make a fire.
