Chapter 63: Drink Soup and Eat Game

The game was more delicious than the ones raised in captivity. The three brothers and sisters were very happy after hunting pheasant. However, they thought about how to deal with it for a long time.

Tian Minrui wanted to take it to the town and sell it so that he could pay back the ten taels he owed Jiang Shi early. Xiao Wu obviously wanted to eat it, but he still agreed.

Tian Minyan thought for a while and looked at the two brothers with sallow faces and thin muscles, without any nutrition. She pursed her lips and said: "Brother, a pheasant can't be sold for much money, and it's even eye-catching, so I'm afraid it won't be sold."

Even if you don't get much money, you might as well end up with it." She meant that she was afraid that Jiang would take it.

Tian Minrui hesitated and looked at Xiao Wu's eager look. He actually wanted to eat meat, so he blushed and said, "Then, let's bake it?"

"Okay, half baked, half boiled." Tian Minyan smiled.

The three of them acted immediately, and with the lure of food, they soon arrived at the head of the stream that Tian Minrui had mentioned. A stream led down from the mountain. The water was clear and transparent. There were some bamboos beside the stream. Sure enough, they found two bamboo shoots.

I was immediately overjoyed.

Next to a big rock, Tian Minrui started boiling water on the stove, while Xiao Wu went around looking for dry firewood.

Because when she came out, Tian Minyan had the foresight to bring out a small aluminum pot to make hot water or something, as well as salt and two steamed bun heads. Now it seems that she was well prepared today.

The fire quickly rose. Tian Minyan held the wings of the pheasant, and Tian Minrui cut the neck with a hatchet in his hand. He plucked out the feathers and washed them clean with boiling water three times.

According to the original plan, Tian Minyan divided the chicken into two halves, and used one half to make soup. She happened to pick fresh mushrooms and fungus, and also grabbed two large handfuls, washed them and threw them in to cook together. The other half of the chicken was cooked with salt.

After wiping it off, she wrapped it in several large bamboo leaves, wrapped it in mud, and buried it in the fire.

As the sun gradually climbed higher, the three brothers and sisters were cleaning the wild vegetables and mushrooms they dug today, laughing and waiting for the soup to be ready.

After cooking for more than half an hour, Tian Minyan opened the lid of the pot, and a tangy fragrance immediately came over. The soup was light in color, and mushrooms and chicken were tumbling inside.

"It smells so good." Xiao Wu squatted beside her, sniffed hard and swallowed hard.

"Little glutton." Tian Minyan flicked his forehead, thinking that the soup was ready to drink, sprinkled some salt, and took down the whole pot.

The purpose of bringing the pot was to boil some hot water. Tian Minyan did not prepare a bowl, but only brought a small wooden bowl. As for the chopsticks, Tian Minrui chopped a thin bamboo and shaved three pairs.

Pour the soup into a small bowl, Tian Minyan picked it up, blew on it, and handed it to Tian Minrui: "Brother, you taste it first."

"Let Xiao Wu taste it first, he's young." Tian Minrui smiled and declined.

Xiao Wu smiled and didn't delay. He took a sip from Tian Minyan's hand and sighed: "It's so sweet and fresh."

Tian Minyan had been busy for a long time and was already hungry. Seeing Tian Minrui motioning for her to drink first, she also took a sip. As expected, the taste was fragrant and sweet.

The three of us drank the soup one bite at a time, and used bamboo chopsticks to pick up the mushroom and chicken in the soup to eat. It was so delicious, Xiao Wu kept saying it was so delicious that he even swallowed it on his tongue.

Just as the steamed buns had eaten up all the mushroom and chicken in the soup, and there were still two bowls of soup left, the three of them tacitly agreed not to touch it, and only said in unison: "Save it for dad and mom."

"There are also beggar's chickens." Seeing the two brothers' satisfied but unfulfilled looks, Tian Minyan couldn't help but smile and pointed to the temporary stove that was still burning firewood.
