Chapter 379 The superstars the Blazers missed in those years...

As early as 2012, the NBA changed its voting rules. There is no longer a separate "center" position. The five All-Star spots will be occupied by two backcourts and three frontcourts.

This was decided taking into account the atmosphere of the alliance at the time.

As the league puts more and more emphasis on offense, the glory of the traditional center gradually fades away, and the core status has repeatedly declined. Therefore, in the eyes of the outside world, the decline of the center is an irreversible trend of the times... unless another ancient mythical beast appears in the league!

In the eyes of people at the time, the future All-Star voting champions would basically be dominated by outside players. After Kobe, it would be James, and after James, there would be Durant and others. Naturally, everyone thought that the world would be dominated by outside players in the future.

And now, a super newcomer who is at the level of an ancient mythical beast has really appeared in the league, and is very likely to win all the All-Star votes in the future. This makes the decision made by the league's top leaders just two years ago seem a bit stupid.

If things go on like this, maybe one day the league will change the voting rules again and once again take out the center position. Hefei now seems to be confused and perfunctory with the so-called three frontcourts.

After the NBA officially announced the votes received by all players in the 2014 NBA All-Stars, it then officially announced the list of this year’s All-Star policies.

As usual, a total of 10 players from the East and West are all selected by fan votes. The lineup for the East is:

Backcourt duo: Irving, Wade.

Frontcourt trio: James, George, Anthony.

On the west side:

Backcourt duo: Curry, Kobe.

Frontcourt trio: Durant, Love, Wang Zelin.

Compared with the results of the third round of voting, the biggest change in the Western Conference is that Love, who was previously ranked fourth in the game, achieved a lead in one fell swoop through several big data explosions, surpassing Griffin to win the frontcourt.

Silly Fen failed to qualify for the All-Star Games again, so he must be very angry.

In the final stage, the injured captain Paul failed to overtake Curry, who came from behind, and ultimately missed the chance.

As soon as this news came out, some in the alliance were happy and some were sad!

But there is one thing to say, the Clippers duo are quite unlucky this year.

If it hadn't been for that damn injury and Paul hadn't been injured, maybe the Clippers would have won a few more games;

And if the Clippers win a few more games, maybe he and Griffin can get tens of thousands more votes;

And he and Griffin both got tens of thousands of votes, so they were safe!

Compared to the exciting competition for the All-Star Game honors in the Western Conference, the advantages of the five players in the Eastern Conference are too obvious, which makes the stars behind them feel helpless and unable to catch up.

According to official reports from the league, after the list is released, the substitute list that fans have been thinking about will be announced on the 31st of the month.

As of now, there are two teams in the league, and we can only hope for a scenario where three players from one team will be shortlisted for the All-Star Game.

Needless to say, the first one is the Miami Heat.

This is not the first time that the Big Three of Rehu have gathered together for the All-Star Game. This has been the case since the three of them joined forces.

With a team composed of three All-Stars in their prime, it is no wonder that other teams in the league are looking forward to it, and there are so many doubts from the outside world.

As for another team that is very likely to have this scenario, it is none other than the Portland Trail Blazers, who have had a fantastic start to the season.

Of course, there is no need to say more about Wang Zelin, who is the top vote-getter and has a guaranteed spot.

As for LaMarcus Aldridge, he has basically never missed an All-Star game since he reached his peak... This guy is an old All-Star.

Compared to the first two, Trail Blazers fans are more worried about Damian Lillard.

Don't look at what many people say, if it weren't for Wang Zelin, the 12th Rookie of the Year wouldn't be Davis or Lillard.

This is a compliment to Lillard, but it is also a kind of helplessness.

Who allowed him to meet a super rookie like Wang Zelin, who looks at the long history of the NBA and can rival all the historical greats.

Just like the Big Bird, Magician, Flying Man, Shark, Stone Buddha and other big guys in the past, their debut is the peak in the true sense, and there is no so-called wretched development period at all!

He didn't give fans any room to prepare, and he shocked the entire basketball world as soon as he debuted!

Compared with monsters of this level, those rookies in the same class look too miserable.

Because if nothing else happens, all the other rookies in this class will be desperately trying to catch up with the former.

What's even more tragic is that the gap between the two will only get wider and wider until the former is no longer visible.

As a result, Trail Blazers fans fell into troubles of happiness.

There is no way, who makes their own management team so amazing? In a draft, they can select two super rookies without the No. 1 pick or even the top five picks, one is better than the other!

It's simply outrageous to open the door for outrageousness - it's so outrageous!

In response, the Blazers management couldn't help crying: It's not easy!

I don’t know when it started. To outsiders, the Blazers’ management has always been short-circuited.

Going forward, we might start with missing out on the basketball god Michael Jordan in the 1984 draft.

This should be a meme of the Trail Blazers that has been widely circulated by countless fans throughout the basketball world.

After the 1984 draft, in the years when Jordan took off, only they themselves know how miserable the Trail Blazers were ridiculed.

In fact, what more people don't know is that as early as the previous year, the Trail Blazers selected the talented outside line-Drexler!

As one of the top 50 players in the NBA in the future, Glider is really not bad, and he will definitely be called a league superstar at his peak!

However, who made his opponent a god?

Since the beginning of the new century, after the 2007 draft, the gap between No. 1 pick Oden and No. 2 pick Durant has become wider and wider, triggering a heated discussion that far exceeds that of Jordan and Drexler...

So, someone created a new column: a breakdown of the superstars that the Trail Blazers missed over the years!

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! Fans were immediately interested, and they didn’t know what to read and were shocked when they saw it.

The column blogger began criticizing the Portland Trail Blazers management directly in 1978.

Because that year, the Trail Blazers used the No. 1 pick to select Michael Thompson from the University of Minnesota, the father of "Buddha" Klay Thompson.

They didn't draft the talented small forward from Indiana State University.

Everyone knows what happened later. In his rookie year with the Trail Blazers, Michael Thompson averaged 16.78.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game, which is really not bad!

However, who told his opponent, the talented small forward, to be named Larry Bird!

In 1981, the Trail Blazers selected Jeff Lamp with the 15th overall pick in the first round of this draft, an unknown little player among NBA history regulars.

Behind Jeff Lamp, there is Jan Vincent, who averaged 21.47 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals in his rookie season with the Mavericks, and Eddie Johnson, who became the scoring leader of the Kings in his rookie year.

After that, Mark Price was missed in 1986. After being selected with the 14th overall pick in the first round, he played 7 games with the Trail Blazers, averaging only 1.9 points per game, and was subsequently traded to the Spurs by the management.

After arriving with the Spurs, this guy suddenly became a super scorer, averaging 17.6 points per game...

Well, compared to his statistics in the Trail Blazers, it can no longer be said to be super. It can be said that he has ascended to immortality.

Coupled with the well-publicized loss of Jordan and Durant, the Blazers management's lack of understanding began to label the team in the minds of fans.

In fact, anyone with some brains knows that this is a typical hindsight behavior, and it is a matter of hindsight.

However, fans, or theatergoers, just like this, who cares about what happened there back then?

What people care about most is whether they can entertain themselves.

However, since the Blazers management selected Lillard and Wang Zelin in last year's draft, and the two showed strength and performance that far exceeded those of the same draft, the Blazers management can finally straighten out.

Awesome.

Although from time to time, some people in the outside world say bitterly: "It's just shitty luck. Who doesn't eat dumplings once during the holidays?"

In response, the Blazers management just glanced sideways and replied calmly: "There's nothing wrong with it, it's just enough for me to last more than ten years!"
