Chapter 56 I Really Was Dreaming

Bai Mo had a dream.

In the dream, there was a long, deep path, with no end visible at a glance. It was pitch black ahead, and all the light seemed to be swallowed up.

There were two rows of people standing on both sides of the path, one after another, shoulder to shoulder, like a human wall, extending into the darkness along with the path. They all looked numb, like cold corpses.

Bai Mo walked slowly on this path. Every time he moved, the necks of those people would twist an inch. Their movements were extremely stiff, and their eyes always stayed on him.

...like a look from hell.

It was clearly such a strange scene that Bai Mo's heart stopped. He turned around and saw that there was no way out behind him.

The place we just walked through seemed to be wiped out out of thin air, and the two rows of figures disappeared, leaving only two dense rows of unnamed tombstones, standing in the air, feeling inexplicably desolate.

With no way out, he could only keep moving forward, walking into the unknown darkness ahead.

Vaguely, Bai Mo seemed to hear some noise, it was very noisy, there were cries, chants, whispers, unbearable curses, and extremely miserable screams.

All the sounds came from both sides, and seemed to come from the mouths of those corpse-like guys, but they clearly didn't speak.

Bai Mo couldn't see anything, but a blurry picture suddenly appeared in his mind. It was a pile of broken walls and ruins, with countless corpses lying on the ground, most of them mutilated, with angry eyes wide open, as if they were unwilling to die in peace.

The mountains and plains are filled with endless red, blood and fire blending together, and the whole picture is constantly floating, just like the reappearance of the old scene.

Bai Mo remained indifferent, he just walked indifferently, as if he had no emotions, and was extremely indifferent, as if he had become a completely different person.

No matter how piercing the screams, no matter how tragic the scene, he never stopped, he just kept walking into the darkness, towards the path that led to no one knows where.

Gradually, I don’t know how long it took.

All the screams disappeared, and the tombstones on both sides disappeared.

The air was eerily still, and all the corpses of those who died innocently and tragically were hidden, but they did not seem to disappear. Instead, they were hiding in the dark and watching him secretly.

In the midst of the dead silence, there was suddenly a bit more light in the darkness ahead. Bai Mo's expression remained unchanged, but his pace involuntarily accelerated a bit.

As the road widened, he stopped, seemingly in a trance.

He first heard a burst of laughter, and then saw a gorgeous white stage.

There are red round tables placed under the stage, the carpet is red, and the chairs are also red. It looks like a wedding scene, very festive.

But the entire stage showed a strange white color, and the curtain dropped like a huge shroud, blocking the most cruel scene.

The stage was extremely empty, and not a single person could be seen. He didn't know where the laughter and laughter just came from, and he didn't bother to look for it. He just found a place to sit down, picked up a red cup, and gave it to

Pour yourself a cup of tea.

"Pour me a drink too."

Suddenly, a soft male voice sounded, and Bai Mo turned his head, only to find that there was a person sitting next to him. He looked very handsome, dressed in white, and looked like an elegant young man.

"Pour me a drink too." A voice sounded again from the left, it was a red-haired man with tattoos, grinning at him.

"And me." A woman said.

"Pour me a drink too."

"Don't forget me!"

"..."

Voices sounded one after another, and there seemed to be many more people on this round table.

"Me, me, and me!"

Bai Mo was pouring tea for everyone one by one, when he suddenly heard a clear child's voice on his right. He looked for it, and then lowered his head in surprise, only to realize that the person who had just spoken was a little girl.

The girl had red lips and white teeth, a round head, and was very short. She was looking at him dissatisfied. Maybe she felt that she was being slighted. She opened her short legs, climbed onto the chair with great effort, and raised the cup in her hand above her head.

, trying to prove that one is high.

There was a lot of noise under the stage, and Bai Mo noticed that at some point, all the tables around him were already full of people.

Bai Mo looked at the little girl, and everyone looked at him.

After a while, he smiled silently and stretched out his hand as if to rub the girl's head, but soon stopped and silently poured the girl a cup of tea.

During this time, no one spoke anymore.

At this moment, the white curtain on the stage slowly rose, gongs, drums and suonas sounded, and everything on the stage appeared in front of everyone's eyes.

On the stage were not opera singers, but a group of male and female generals in armor, holding bright real guns and real swords, the blades of which shone with a faint cold light, which was truly breathtaking.

When the play started, the audience suddenly became quiet.

Bai Mo has seen this scene before, but this time, it is no longer so silent.

He still couldn't understand the content of the scene, but he was still fascinated by it.

The sound of gongs and drums became louder and louder, and everyone on the stage waved their weapons wildly, as if they were fighting against some unknown and terrifying existence. Their faces were determined, but the despair in their eyes could not be hidden.

Bai Mo was affected by this emotion and felt a little irritable for no reason.

The drama is still going on, and everyone in the audience is quite fascinated. They are motionless, even the hands raising the glasses are hanging in the air, and time seems to be suspended.

Finally, the white curtain fell, and the play came to an end.

Thunderous applause erupted from the stage, and Bai Mo couldn't help but clap along with him, even though his palms hurt from the clapping without even noticing.

The applause disappeared and he turned his head. Not a single person could be seen around him, and it became much deserted in an instant.

Everything just seemed like an illusion, everyone disappeared.

Near the round table, only rows of cold tombstones were left, some high and some short. The tombstone on Bai Mo's right was the shortest, only less than his knee height.

There was no one up and down the huge stage. Looking at all this, he suddenly froze on the spot. After regaining consciousness, he drank the still warm cup of tea on the table in one gulp.

"Have you forgotten?"

Suddenly, a plain voice sounded. It was the soft male voice that wanted Bai Mo to pour tea at first, as if it appeared directly in his heart.

Bai Mo was silent for a long time and did not answer.

He just stood up and drank all the tea in the cups on the table.

Since entering the dreamland, he has never said a word, as if he has fallen into eternal silence like those tombstones.

He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something.

"Dong dong dong dong dong!"

But at this moment, an untimely knocking sound suddenly sounded in his ears, the surrounding scenes all faded and fragmented, and the whole world seemed to be withdrawing.

Bai Mo looked at the stage and tombstones in the distance, feeling a little irritable.

"We are all waiting for you...waiting for you to wake up."

At the last moment, he heard the voice again, very soft and flat, and then there was darkness in front of him.

A brief moment of darkness.

Bai Mo opened his eyes and rubbed his groggy head.

He seemed to have had a long and strange dream, but he couldn't remember the specific content, and he felt a little irritable.

"It looks like a sad dream."

He lay there and breathed a long sigh of relief. He felt that his sleep was a little uncomfortable, so he pushed the wooden board above his head skillfully with his hands and feet and climbed out of the bed.

The surrounding area was pitch black, and there seemed to be some unpleasant stench. He covered his mouth and nose, opened his phone and took a photo, and then he was stunned.

"Why is there a red coffin here? Aren't the coffins in the cemetery all black? No wonder it's uncomfortable to sleep..."

Hey, why do I think a coffin in a cemetery is comfortable to sleep on?

He looked confused and took pictures everywhere with the help of his mobile phone, and then he discovered something to his surprise——

I am no longer in the cemetery!

This was clearly an almost abandoned hut. It was empty, the corners were covered with spider webs, and the wooden door was crooked, as if it might collapse at any time.

"Isn't it possible that I'm still dreaming..."

For a moment, Bai Mo couldn't understand that he suddenly left home and appeared in another place. He walked to the door and pushed the wooden door. The wooden door suddenly let out an overwhelmed scream, and then fell to the ground, ending the care of the house.

The mission of the hospital.

There is a person standing outside the door.

When Bai Mo saw the man, he obviously noticed him, and his expression seemed a little unbelievable - it was Lu Zhan.

One is the gravekeeper of the cemetery, and the other is the person in charge of City No. 3. The two met in such an unknown place in the middle of the night, and their expressions were very exciting.

The atmosphere is a bit subtle.

The two of them looked at each other, and gradually, the same idea came to their minds.

"I am indeed dreaming..."

"Otherwise, how could this guy appear here?!"
