Chapter 6: Life and Death in the Ghostly Desert (End)

"Bang" Sinbad curled up like a ball, rolled down the slope of the sand mountain, and fell to the ground, causing sand and dust to fly everywhere.

Freckles and Tracey followed closely behind, rolling down the sandy slope. Freckles got up in disgrace and turned to look at the top of the mountain. Blood was dripping from the claw-shaped wound on his forehead, but he didn't seem to notice it.

"Is Mr. Ghoul okay?" Sinbad asked anxiously, his voice so hoarse that he could barely hear the syllables. They were being chased all over the mountain by monsters with sharp teeth and claws and as fast as the wind. Gordon took the initiative

Stay and be the queen.

"That pervert is very powerful, he will definitely survive." Freckles deliberately laughed twice.

"Is there any water?" Tracy was lying in the sand, looking haggard, her limbs aching, and she was too tired to move at all.

"It disappeared the day before yesterday. It seems to have been the day before yesterday." Freckles threw the water bag to Tracy. She pulled out the stopper, pointed it at the cracked lip, and raised her head for a long time, but she did not wait for a drop of water to fall.

But she still maintained this posture, as if a miracle would happen.

"He's coming down," Freckles trembled.

Gordon's thin figure came into view. He was covered in blood, dragging the corpses of two monsters, and limped down the mountain.

"Haha" Freckles grabbed Sinbad and shook it hard, "Yeah, he actually fell off him. Let me just say, perverts don't fall down so easily. This kid won't let us down."

Sinbad smiled happily: "Then I will also be a pervert in the future."

Freckles' face suddenly changed slightly: "Did he bring the body down?"

Sinbad was also stunned: "Mr. Eat-Zombie-Ghost...he wants to..."

The two of them stared at each other, goosebumps appearing on their skin at the same time.

"Bang - bang" two monster corpses were thrown at their feet. The corpses were human-shaped. The dark yellow skin was thick and thick, like a layer of cocoon shells. The lower abdomen was especially plump, and the neck, armpits and genitals were all raw.

There were wrinkles. Several wounds on the body slowly exuded light red mucus, exuding bursts of pungent stench.

"It's not poisonous." Gordon said briefly, leaning down and sucking the mucus from the monster's corpse's neck. Because the mucus smelled fishy and was extremely difficult to swallow, he had to take a few puffs and pause to avoid nausea and vomiting.

Tracey hesitated for a moment and crawled towards the body. When she took the first sip, she couldn't help but squirt out and vomited for a while.

Freckles looked at Gordon, then at Tracy, and made a "dong" sound in his throat. "Boy, don't you want to be a pervert? Learn from it." He patted Sinbad and strode to another monster.

Next to the corpse.

"Yes" he cursed, sucked in the mucus hard, cursed again, and sucked again, making Sinbad look dumbfounded.

There was very little mucus exuding from the corpse, and it was sucked in within a few mouthfuls. Under the scorching sunlight, the corpse quickly shriveled up. Gordon began to use a dagger to dissect the corpse, and this skill that he had practiced so hard was put to use.

Following the connection between the tendons, the dagger moved lightly like clouds and flowing water, breaking through the monster's hard and thick skin cocoon. In just a few moments, a piece of skin was completely peeled off, revealing the intact organs inside.

Gordon took out the monster's heart. It was as big as a millstone and as hard as a stone, and couldn't be bitten at all. The same was true for other organs, which couldn't be eaten at all.

This is totally against common sense.

"Impossible, why can't you even put the intestines in your mouth?" Freckles tried to chew the monster's khaki intestines, which were thick and tough, no different from a rubber tube.

"This is okay." Gordon waved his dagger and carefully picked out a large walnut-shaped liquid sac from the monster's lower abdomen. The large liquid sac was wrapped in film and had a light pink color and a pungent smell.

"It's the bladder," Freckles suddenly said.

"The rainy season in the Ghostly Desert is in July. Desert creatures will store as much water as possible at that time to survive the eleven months of dry season." Gordon stretched out his bladder to Sinbad, "The bladders of these two monsters are full.

A lot of water."

Sinbad's face turned pale, and just smelling the stench of his bladder made him unbearable.

"Eat it." Gordon looked directly at the boy, "I will not take a useless lamb on the road."

I am the lion Sinbad gritted his teeth, closed his eyes, and the moment he bit his bladder, the hot and fishy liquid flowed into his throat, and he really wanted to vomit.

"If you spit it out, I will leave you to fend for yourself." Gordon said calmly.

In the end, the boy had to swallow the mucosal layer of the bladder. Gordon, Tracey and Freckles shared the bladder of another monster. Not daring to rest for too long, they set off in a hurry again.

If you can't catch up with the horse thief, there will be no way to survive.

Along the way, the wind got stronger. As evening approached, they struggled through another sand mountain, but failed to harvest food or water.

"Yes, how could a den of thieves be in such a ghost place that no one can live in." Freckles weakly raised his hood to block the sand and dust, and the howling wind instantly crushed his words.

"Could we have lost the horse thief along the way?" Tracey said anxiously.

"Perhaps the horse thieves are taking a detour on purpose, not wanting to expose their secret lair easily." Gordon carried Sinbad on his back, burying his head against the wind, and trudged forward.

"A detour? Bah, unless they are obsessed with it and seek death themselves." Freckles spat out the sand in his mouth.

"The ghosts are obsessed with the mind, and the ghosts are obsessed with the desert." Sinbad subconsciously hugged Gordon's neck. As far as his eyes could see, it was dim and boundless, filled with rolling and roaring wind and sand. The sand was messy and messy, sometimes being lifted up piece by piece, sometimes bulging out in strange shapes.

The traces of the horse thief can no longer be traced.

"Maybe we're lost." Tracey's mood became increasingly depressed.

Gordon said: "It's been almost half an hour, and we haven't encountered the next sand mountain yet. We should be out of this area soon."

Freckles cheered up: "Yes, there are some small sand dunes nearby."

"Look there, there," Sinbad suddenly shouted, pointing forward excitedly.

Through the sand and fog in the sky, everyone saw a huge circular lake suspended in the air, looming, and shining with bright and fine sparkles from time to time.

"Mirage?" Freckles said in surprise.

"There will be no mirages in this kind of weather." Gordon stopped in alarm. The surrounding light was dim and it was difficult to see. However, this lake could be seen out of thin air. There must be something fishy in it.

And the fangs were trembling in his mind.

"Water" Tracy was stunned for a while, her eyes suddenly lit up, and she ran over like a crazy little female animal.

"Tracy, be careful." Freckles didn't catch her, and immediately followed her, and the two of them disappeared into the misty sand mist one after another.

"Mr. Ghoul, we..." Sinbad stared at the lake, feeling more and more like his throat was burning.

"It may be more dangerous than Sand Mountain." Gordon murmured to himself.

Sinbad said in shock: "What should we do?" He noticed that Gordon's body was shaking slightly, and he was stunned for a moment, feeling a little disappointed. In the boy's mind, Mr. Ghoul has always been the bravest.

"Are you...scared?" He couldn't help but ask, leaning over to look at Gordon.

Then he saw the young man's smile, an expression that Gordon had never seen since they met. It was a brilliance that radiated from the depths of life.

"I'm so excited." Gordon took a deep breath and rushed towards the lake.
