Chapter 222: Lady Bones

Chapter 222 Mrs. Bones

Master Xuanzang and his disciples fled from Wuzhuang Temple in a hurry. After a month of long journey, eating the wind and drinking dew, they finally left the boundary of Wuzhuang Temple and arrived at Baihu Ridge.

Only then did Xuanzang's tense mind relax, and his whole body suddenly collapsed to the ground, feeling unbearably hungry and without any strength.

Xuanzang quietly looked at the three disciples. Sun Wukong was less rebellious and more high-spirited, as if he was reborn.

Zhu Bajie, on the other hand, is a little less awake in the human world and a little more lost in dreams, looking completely stupid.

As for Sha Wujing, he was a little less pure in Buddhism and a little more demonic, and there were faint signs of becoming a demon.

Obviously, although the calamity of Wuzhuangguan has passed, it left a deep impression on their masters and disciples, making Wukong and the others more eager for power and practicing harder.

Xuanzang's eyes swept across the sky and finally stopped at Sun Wukong. He only heard him say slowly: "Wukong, I am hungry, go there and make some fast food to eat!"

Sun Wukong looked at the surrounding high mountains and said with a wry smile: "Master, in the middle of the mountains, there is no village in front, no shop in back, and nowhere to buy if you have money. Where can I go to become a vegetarian?"

When Xuanzang heard this, he felt unhappy and cursed: "You monkey! I remember when you were pressed down by the Buddha at the foot of Wuzhi Mountain. You were hungry for iron pills and thirsty for copper juice. It was I who rescued you.

Disciple. Now..."

Before Xuanzang finished speaking, Wukong quickly said: "Master, don't blame me, don't say anything. I, the old grandson, will find someone to go to Hua Zhai."

I saw Sun Wukong leaping up into the clouds, setting up an awning with his hands, and looking in all directions. However, the journey to the west was already sparsely populated, and there were not even half a household in a dangerous place like Baihuling, so naturally there was no place to transform into a vegetarian.

After watching carefully, Wukong discovered that there was a high mountain hundreds of miles away to the south. There was a peach forest on the mountain facing the sun, which was bright red and contained ripe mountain peaches.

Wukong pressed his cloud head and reported to Xuanzang about the peach forest. Xuanzang was overjoyed and urged Wukong to go pick peaches.

When Wukong heard this, he took out the alms bowl from his baggage, raised his auspicious light, and went straight to Nanshan to pick peaches.

This auspicious light alarmed the owner of Baihuling. Madam Baigu looked at Xuanzang's figure, and all the past events came to mind. Her affection for Jin Chanzi was quietly placed on Xuanzang's body.

The Bone Lady suddenly transformed into a white woman, dressed in red, graceful and charming.

She held a green sand jar in her left hand and a green porcelain bottle in her right hand, heading straight towards Xuanzang.

The moment Xuanzang saw Lady Bones, his heart beat violently, as if some scene was about to emerge from the bottom of his heart.

Although the woman in red clothes calls herself a village girl, her appearance and temperament are the most beautiful in the world, especially the bright red dress, which is so dazzling!

"Elder, I have fragrant rice in this green pot and fried gluten in the green bottle. I have no other reason to come here because I have vowed to become a monk."

Mrs. Bones held the food basket, but her eyes were fixed on Xuanzang, as if expecting his response.

However, Xuanzang was in a state of confusion at this time. He closed his eyes tightly and did not even dare to raise his head. He silently recited the Heart Sutra taught by Zen Master Wuchao in his heart.

In the past, as long as he recited the Heart Sutra silently, Xuanzang would enter a state where his mind was like still water, as if he had achieved great enlightenment, and all worries would disappear with the wind.

But today, the Heart Sutra seemed to have lost its effect. The more Xuanzang recited it silently, the stronger the throbbing in his heart became.

Xuanzang's eyes were closed tightly, his brows were furrowed, beads of sweat the size of soybeans were falling on his forehead, and he was obviously extremely panicked.

After Zhu Bajie practiced the Great Dream Heart Sutra, he had been in a state of dreaming and waking, but his spiritual sense was several times more sensitive than the normal state.

The moment Madam White Bones approached, Zhu Bajie sensed her aura. Since Madam White Bones did not exude any malice, Zhu Bajie had no intention of taking action.

But seeing Xuanzang's reaction, Zhu Bajie's heart moved, and he seemed to understand something. There is definitely an extraordinary story between the master Xuanzang and the Bone Lady.

One is a Buddhist holy monk, and the other is a pink skull. The emotional entanglement between the two makes Zhu Bajie feel a strange excitement.

Zhu Bajie opened his sleepy eyes and said softly: "Master, since this female Bodhisattva sincerely worships the Buddha, how can we live up to her good intentions!"

Zhu Bajie's voice was very soft, but it seemed to give Xuanzang a different kind of courage. He slowly opened his eyes and carefully looked at the woman in front of him.

The woman was dressed in red and had an unpredictable smile on her face, giving people an eerie feeling.

But Xuanzang didn't seem to notice. He looked at Madam White Bones with extremely gentle eyes, and even couldn't help but walked towards Madam White Bones without any warning.

The smile on Madam White Bone's face became more and more wanton, and there was a faint cold light in her eyes, and she even revealed a murderous intention, aiming directly at Xuanzang.

At this moment, Sun Wukong's angry shout suddenly came from the air: "Monster, don't even think about hurting my old master, look at the stick!"

Before he finished speaking, Sun Wukong's figure stood in front of Xuanzang, and the Coiling Dragon Stick in his hand hit Madam Bones on the head.

A shrill scream rang out, and the woman in red clothed by Madam White Bones fell to the ground, and the ground was dyed red with blood.

Xuanzang's heart suddenly clenched, and an inexplicable sadness swept over him. He said in a complicated tone: "Why did you beat him to death?"

Sun Wukong did not notice anything strange about Xuanzang, but instead said extremely proudly: "This evildoer wants to harm the master's life, so naturally he cannot let her go!"

Xuanzang suddenly felt a surge of unknown anger in his heart. He suppressed his anger and said to Sun Wukong: "Go away, I don't have you as my disciple!"

Sun Wukong was stunned when he heard this, and said quickly: "When I, the old grandson, made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, I was suppressed by the Buddha at the foot of Wuzhi Mountain. It was my master who saved me from the trouble. How could I, the old grandson, just walk away without being repaid for such great kindness?"

Sun Wukong's voice was like a drum in the evening and a bell in the morning. Xuanzang, who was upset, regained some of his state of mind and agreed to give Wukong another chance.

Seeing Xuanzang angrily walking at the front of the team, Wukong's eyes were full of surprise. He always felt that something was wrong with Xuanzang today, but he couldn't tell what was wrong!

"What happened to the old monk today? He seems to have changed." Sun Wukong asked in confusion.

Bajie watched with cold eyes, but he saw many clues. He was a werewolf who had experienced many vicissitudes of life, so he naturally understood why Xuanzang was like this?

"Brother Monkey, you have been practicing since childhood, how do you know the mystery of love between men and women? This old monk is obviously in love!" Zhu Bajie said in a deep voice.

"Impossible, the old monk is not that kind of person!" Wukong immediately retorted.

Wukong was well aware of Xuanzang's rigidity and seriousness. How could the word "love" have anything to do with him!

"Who said it was his love? The old monk has been reincarnated for ten lives. Who knows which life caused the love debt? You beat his lover to death, how can he not be angry?" Zhu Bajie said softly.

"No matter what, I, Old Sun, can't sit back and watch this monk be harmed by evildoers!"

The more Wukong listened, the more confused he became. He was so confused that he finally had to choose the method he was most familiar with, cutting through the mess quickly.

Monk Sha seemed to be a transparent person throughout the whole process, just silently carrying the burden and following Xuanzang closely. Only the devilish look in his eyes from time to time showed that he was unusual!

But it is said that the body of Madam White Bones was beaten to death by Wukong with a stick, but her soul escaped from the shell and returned to the cave safely.

The true appearance of the Bone Lady was just like a jade-like white skeleton, with long jet-black hair growing out of the skull, resting on the cold ground, and a fierce blue flame burning in her eye sockets.

Mrs. Bones walked into the cave. There were a row of potholes on both sides of the cave, and in each pothole stood a corpse. These corpses seemed to be alive, standing quietly in the potholes. The scene was very strange.

Walking through the pit, there is a woman's boudoir inside, decorated with red silk and satin, which looks unusually warm and incompatible with the environment in the cave.

Mrs. Bones strolled into it and sat down on the dressing table. On the dressing table was a bronze mirror, surrounded by simple patterns. It looked like it had been there for some years and was very ancient and unsophisticated.

The pale bone claws slowly brushed across the mirror, and the face of a stunningly beautiful woman was immediately reflected in the mirror. She looked like a white crystal.

Looking at the beautiful figure in the mirror, Mrs. Bones said jealously: "Bai Jingjing, you are always so beautiful!"

"Give up! Jin Chanzi will be sad if she knows what I've become like!" Bai Jingjing in the mirror said strangely.

"Bai Jingjing, don't deceive yourself. I saw that monk, the monk you miss so much. I put on your favorite red dress, but that monk has already forgotten you!"

Madam Bones said in a faint tone. The more she spoke, the angrier she became: "How could he forget you? How dare he forget you? It's unforgivable, absolutely unforgivable!"

An inexplicable sadness appeared on Bai Jingjing's face in the mirror, and drops of blood and tears dripped from her eyes, making the entire mirror surface stained with blood red.

At this time, the White Bone Lady said in an extremely seductive tone: "Give up! As long as you and I merge into one, the White Bone Bodhisattva Temple will be completed. At that time, the monk will kneel at our feet devoutly."

But Bai Jingjing in the mirror shook her head and murmured: "It's okay to forget it! Jin Chanzi is so interesting, so compassionate, so kind, he will definitely be sad when he sees me like this, and I don't want him to be sad!

"

Madam White Bones roared crazily: "Is it worth it to give up the path to immortality and the path and fruit of the Demonic Bodhisattva for the sake of a heartless person?"

In the bronze mirror, Bai Jingjing's eyes were full of longing, and she smiled foolishly: "You don't understand, this is love!"

"I don't understand, but I am you!" Madam White Bones gently touched her spine with her bone claws, where a line of small words was engraved: Madam White Bones.

In the bronze mirror, Bai Jingjing shook her head and retorted: "You are not me, you are the devil in the beauty picture, a new spirit conceived with the help of my bones!"

"Although I am not you, you are not Bai Jingjing either. You are just Bai Jingjing's obsession. As long as I kill that monk, you will have no basis for existence, and my White Bone Bodhisattva Contemplation can still be accomplished."

After Mrs. Bones finished speaking, a burst of mana surged out, directly banning Bai Jingjing's obsession, and Bai Jingjing in the bronze mirror also disappeared.

At the beginning, in order not to make Jin Chanzi sad and unwilling to turn into a bone demon, Bai Jingjing gave up the road to immortality and chose to die in Baihuling.

But the picture of the beautiful woman was tainted with the evil intention of the demon Lord Bo Xun and became very evil. Even though Bai Jingjing died, the Skeleton Bodhisattva Temple contained in it did not stop operating.

Hundreds of years later, the evil spirit in the picture of the beautiful woman was resurrected with the help of Bai Jingjing's bones and transformed into the present-day Bone Lady.

However, although Bai Jingjing is dead, her love for Jin Chanzi was too persistent and turned into obsession and remained in her body.

This obsession is so tenacious that no matter what methods Madam Bones uses, she can never get rid of this obsession.

This also resulted in Mrs. Bai Gu’s conception of the White Bone Bodhisattva never being able to be fully realized, and it was even more difficult to make progress in her Taoist practice.

It is not easy to make Bai Jingjing's obsession dissipate. To untie the bell, one must tie the bell. Only Jin Chanzi can eliminate Bai Jingjing's obsession.

Ever since she knew that Jin Chanzi's reincarnation would pass through Baihu Ridge, Madam White Bones has been staying here. No matter how the years change, she will wait here, waiting for the opportunity to come.

"Jin Chanzi, this matter will not end so easily." Mrs. Bones said softly.

Afterwards, Mrs. Bones walked out of the room and carefully looked at the corpses standing on both sides, like a woman going shopping, carefully choosing her favorite clothes.

Finally, Madam Bones chose the body of an old woman. She slowly walked towards the old woman and blended directly into the old woman's body, as naturally as putting on a piece of clothing.

After a while, the old woman's eyes began to move. She raised her hands, moved her feet, and then said with a satisfied smile: "Jin Chanzi, you can't run away!"

However, Madam White Bone obviously underestimated Sun Wukong's magical power, and was directly seen through by the Fire-Eyed Venus, and her head was broken by the Coiling Dragon Stick again, and only the soul escaped.

Xuanzang was already upset. When he saw Wukong disobeying his advice again and beat an old woman to death, he cursed him and drove Wukong away again.

But under Wukong's sincere plea, Xuanzang decided to give Wukong another chance, and Wukong nodded in agreement.

When Madam Bones came again in the form of an old man, Wukong tried his best to be patient, but the anger in his heart became more and more intense.

In the end, under Madam Bone's various provocations, Wukong couldn't hold back and beat her to death with a stick on the head.

Wukong, who had suffered losses twice in a row, sealed off the surrounding space before taking action this time, preventing Madam Bones from escaping. Madam Bones had nowhere to escape, so in desperation, she had no choice but to reveal her true form.

"Amitabha!" The moment he saw Madam White Bones, Xuanzang had already closed his eyes and proclaimed the Buddha's name.

"Why don't monks dare to open their eyes and look at me? It's in vain that I, Bai Jingjing, am so infatuated with you!" Mrs. Bones said sarcastically.

"Bai Jingjing?" When Xuanzang heard this name, his heart felt as painful as a knife. This name seemed to be very important to him, but he couldn't remember it anyway.

Xuanzang looked at the White Bone Lady in front of him in confusion and asked eagerly: "Tell me, who is Bai Jingjing?"

At this moment, Xuanzang was no longer the holy monk of the Eastern Tang Dynasty, but a mortal with flesh and blood and emotions.

"Want to know? Come closer and I'll tell you."

Looking at Xuanzang who was getting closer and closer to her, Mrs. Bones showed a cruel smile on her face. She whispered: "You'd better ask Bai Jingjing in person!"

After saying that, Madam White Bone stretched out her bone claws, her five fingers began to lengthen, and grabbed Xuanzang's heart.

"Monster, how dare you!"

Seeing this situation, Wukong couldn't bear it anymore, so he raised the dragon stick and hit him on the head.

A trace of panic flashed in Madam White Bone's eyes. She knew that only by killing Xuanzang and seeing the Great Success of White Bone Bodhisattva could there be any chance of survival.

But she finally underestimated Wukong. Although her speed was fast, she was still inferior to Wukong. The moment her bone claws touched Xuanzang, Wukong broke her head with a stick. She fell on the spot and her consciousness disappeared.

As soon as Mrs. Bones' consciousness dissipated, Bai Jingjing's obsession emerged, and her body of bones instantly transformed into Bai Jingjing's appearance.

She stretched out her hand and touched Xuanzang's face, and chuckled: "Jin Chanzi, I am so happy to die in your arms!"

As soon as the words fell, Bai Jingjing's body turned into ashes and disappeared into Xuanzang's arms.

It turns out that in order to let Jin Chanzi remember her most beautiful appearance, Bai Jingjing used her last strength to cast a secret method and regain her flesh and blood body, but the cost was that it completely disappeared.

Even after going through ten reincarnations, the original memory has long been erased by reincarnation, but the beauty hidden deep in the true spirit has never retreated.

When the opportunity comes, memories will come in like a tide, drowning the already numb heart, making it impossible to maintain composure.

Because of this, Xuanzang's eyes were full of madness as he looked at the dissipating Bai Jingjing. He grabbed Wukong's shoulders and asked angrily: "How could you kill her?"

"I, Old Sun, am not here to save you!"

Wukong suddenly became unhappy. The old monk Xuanzang was really ignorant. He had kindly saved his life. It was fine not to thank him. Instead, he blamed himself.

After a long while, Xuanzang's mood finally calmed down. He sat cross-legged and began to recite the rebirth mantra for Bai Jingjing.

After reciting the Rebirth Mantra three thousand times, Xuanzang looked at Wukong with indifferent eyes and said coldly: "Go away, I don't have you as my disciple!"

When Wukong heard this, his eyes were full of disbelief. He saved Xuanzang's life, but Xuanzang still wanted to drive him away, which made Wukong feel extremely chilled.

Wukong took a deep look at Xuanzang, summoned somersault clouds, and headed straight for the Water Curtain Cave in Huaguo Mountain.

In the City God's Dharma Domain, Wang Mingzhen couldn't help but sigh: "Ask what love is in this world, and it will teach you how to make love between life and death!"

To be honest, since knowing Bai Jingjing's final choice, Wang Mingzhen was still very shocked. Not everyone can calmly give up the temptation of immortality, even if this kind of immortality will come at a huge price!

Thinking about the Emperors of Qin and Han and Wu in Chinese history, and the price they paid for immortality, we can see how strong Bai Jingjing’s character is!

If not for this, Wang Mingzhen would not have expended all his energy and focus on Bai Jingjing in an attempt to help her achieve nirvana and be reborn.

It's a pity that he underestimated the weirdness of the beautiful woman's picture, and even underestimated the magical power of the demon Lord Bo Xun, which led to such a tragedy.
