Chapter 550 Someone is going to be unlucky

At nearly 9:10 in the evening, the bed truck driven by Yu Zhiming drove into the community where Dean Li Yao lived.

This is a mid-to-high-end community with mainly small high-rise buildings, separated people and vehicles, and strict property management.

Yu Zhiming registered with the guard, and after the guard contacted Dean Li, he was allowed to drive into the community.

A minute or two later, Yu Zhiming parked the car downstairs of Residence No. 11, then took the elevator to the seventh floor with Qing Ning, holding the cardboard box containing the New Year gifts.

When the elevator door opened, the two of them made some unexpected discoveries.

Dean Li, his wife, three men and one woman were waiting outside the elevator.

What surprised Yu Zhiming even more was.

One of the energetic, silver-haired old men was Mr. Qin, whom I met at Ning'an Hospital last Saturday and is said to be a master of traditional Chinese medicine.

"Dean, I'm presumptuous to disturb your visit."

Yu Zhiming apologized first, and then turned to look at Mr. Qin who was looking at him with a smile.

He greeted politely: "Hello, Mr. Qin, I didn't expect to see you again by such a coincidence."

Li Yao asked curiously: "Mr. Qin, have you met Dr. Yu before?"

Yu Zhiming was the first to explain: "Dean, last Saturday at Ning'an Hospital, I had a quick meeting with Mr. Qin and only exchanged two or three sentences."

Mr. Qin nodded and said, "That's true."

"Dr. Yu and I were busy that day, so it was a pity that we were unable to have an in-depth communication."

Li Yao said with understanding, noticed that Yu Zhiming was still holding a heavy box, and said hurriedly: "Doctor Yu, Miss Gu, come in first."

"Let's sit down together and talk in detail while drinking tea."

Yu Zhiming followed everyone into the spacious living room of Dean Li's house, and put the box aside on the floor where it was not in the way.

"Dean, here are the local specialties from my hometown."

"There are peanuts, millet, mung beans, sweet potato starch, pancakes and salted duck eggs, which are my little touches."

Li Yao laughed and said: "The local products are good, I like them, but if you give them some valuable items, I won't accept them."

After a moment of pause, Li Yao gestured to Mr. Qin on his left.

"You already know this Mr. Qin, a master of traditional Chinese medicine and a Chinese medicine practitioner. You already know Dr. Yu, so I won't introduce him further."

He pointed to Mr. Qin's left hand side, a man who looked about fifty years old and had an elegant air.

"Doctor Yu, this is Mr. Qin's eldest son, Mr. Qin Qiushi. His medical skills are deeply inherited from Mr. Qin. He is now the deputy director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Union Hospital."

"Hello, Mr. Qin, it's an honor to meet you!" Yu Zhiming bowed and greeted!

Qin Qiushi leaned forward very politely and replied: "Dr. Yu, your name, I have often heard and seen it in the past few months."

"I'm so happy to meet you tonight."

The next moment, Li Yao stretched out his hand and pointed at the left side of Qin Qiushi, a woman with short hair above her ears who looked about forty years old.

Before Dean Li could speak, the woman started to introduce herself.

"Doctor Yu, I am Qin Jingmo, Mr. Qin's daughter, and the chief physician of neurosurgery at Union Hospital."

Qin Jingmo looked at Yu Zhiming with lightning eyes, "Dr. Yu, the radioactive seed implantation surgery for skull base tumors that you and Dr. You Weixian collaborated on was very beautiful."

"I happen to have two patients with very complicated skull base tumors. Dr. Yu, how about we collaborate once?"

Yu Zhiming didn't like this person's slightly aggressive and domineering gaze, so he declined: "Ms. Qin, thank you for your trust."

"It's just that I've been busy with work recently and really can't spare the time. I hope we can collaborate again if we have the opportunity in the future."

After saying this, Yu Zhiming turned his attention to the middle-aged bald man on the right side of Dean Li.

Li Yao noticed Yu Zhiming's gaze and took the opportunity to introduce him: "Doctor Yu, this one is Chen Hao, the deputy director of Beijing Union Medical College Hospital..."

After a brief introduction, several people sat down one after another.

Dean Li's wife brought tea to Yu Zhiming and Qing Ning, and then when it was time to refill tea for several other guests, Qing Ning took the initiative to take over the task.

Mr. Qin took a sip of tea first, put down the tea cup, and slowly said: "Doctor Yu, you can detect various lesions in the patient's body in detail."

"This ability is unparalleled."

Mr. Qin pointed at Qin Qiushi beside him, and then said: "Doctor Yu, I want Qiu Shi to stay by your side for a few years. What do you think?"

Yu Zhiming was very surprised and said in confusion: "Mr. Qin, Mr. Qin is a master of traditional Chinese medicine. How many years will he stay with me?"

Mr. Qin waved his hand and said: "Dr. Yu, you are ridiculous. Qiu Shi's abilities are still far behind those of other Chinese medicine practitioners."

He further introduced: "However, Qiu Shi has some experience in pulse conditions."

"He stayed by your side, Dr. Yu, mainly because he wanted to compare the patient's pulse with the specific lesions of the patient's body to see if he could work out some corresponding relationships and patterns, so that our traditional Chinese medicine interpretation of the pulse would be more accurate."
Yu Zhiming snorted and said, "Mr. Ye Huazhang also made a similar invitation for cooperation before."

Qin Qiushi couldn't help but interrupt and asked: "Doctor Yu, what specific invitation does Mr. Ye invite?"

Yu Zhiming said: "Mr. Ye said he wanted to write a book to match the patient's pulse with the patient's lesion image, so as to facilitate the cooperation between traditional Chinese and Western medicine and the popularization of traditional Chinese medicine."

"It's just that I was busy with work at the time, so I declined Mr. Ye's invitation."

Mr. Qin nodded lightly and said, "Mr. Ye's idea is quite similar to our idea."

"Qiu Shi, we can cooperate with Mr. Ye. Of course, the premise is to obtain Dr. Yu's consent."

Qin Qiushi hummed and said to Yu Zhiming: "Doctor Yu, if you agree to cooperate, I will try not to interfere with your examination and diagnosis of the patient."

"What I need here is just the various specific and detailed physical pathological characteristics of the patient that you have detected."

"Of course, I still need to check the patient's pulse."

Yu Zhiming pondered and said: "This method of cooperation will not cause much interference to my work."

He looked at Director Li, "This side of the hospital..."

Li Yao laughed softly and said: "Doctor Yu, we just had preliminary discussions, if you are willing to cooperate..."

"Mr. Qin will be stationed in our hospital in the name of project cooperation. In addition to project research, he can also receive medical treatment and prescribe prescriptions. It is equivalent to setting up a small Chinese medicine department in your center."

Yu Zhiming chuckled and said: "In this way, our center can be considered as small as a sparrow, but it has all the internal organs."

Li Yao laughed and said: "Isn't this better?"

"In the future, talents from any department can receive high-level instruction in your center."

Yu Zhiming met the eyes of the Qin family and his son and said thoughtfully, "With this method of cooperation, my work is basically not affected and my workload is not increased. I personally agree with it."

He added: "My father used to be a barefoot Chinese medicine practitioner, but his medical skills were very poor and he didn't have much time to practice."

"The reason why I applied for medical school is partly because I received some medical influence from my father in my early years."

"Mr. Qin, I am happy to provide a little help for the development of traditional Chinese medicine."

Mr. Qin smiled happily and said: "Dr. Yu, what you have provided is not a small contribution. Maybe this project will make a big step forward for the development of Chinese medicine in my country!"

After a moment of pause, he said sincerely: "Dr. Yu, thank you."

Yu Zhiming quickly replied: "Mr. Qin, you are too polite. Speaking of which, we also made a big profit."

"We will definitely benefit a lot from having a famous Chinese medicine expert like Mr. Qin with superb medical skills."

At this time, Chen Hao said: "Dr. Yu, you have benefited a lot, but we, Xiehe, have suffered a lot."

"Dr. Qin is a senior expert in our Union Medical College Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It will only be a few years since he left."

"How about this, in exchange, Dr. Yu, how about you come to our Union to work and communicate for one day every two weeks?"

Li Yao replied directly: "No."

"Doctor Yu's time is not enough for us in Huashan, so how can we still give you two weeks for one day at Xiehe University?"

"Dean Chen, please stop daydreaming."

Qin Jingmo interrupted: "Dean Li, is it always possible to cooperate with this flying knife?"

"The frail and sickly human chimera child in our capital was not diagnosed by Dr. Yu when he went to the capital."

Li Yao nodded and said: "Work like flying knives is decided by Dr. Yu independently, and the hospital will not interfere."

When Yu Zhiming saw Qin Jingmo looking towards him again, he spoke first: "During this period, my work schedule is very tight every day, and I really can't spare time to take on extra work."

Qin Jingmo persisted in persuading: "Dr. Yu, you and I have cooperated with these two patients with skull base tumors and successfully performed radioactive seed implantation surgeries on them. Their lifespans will be extended by another three to five years."
After a pause, she softened her tone and said, "Dr. Yu, if two people can't do it, how about just one person doing the surgery?"

"To be honest with Doctor Yu, there is one person who is my middle school classmate. I really can't bear to see him leave in pain."

Yu Zhiming met Qin Jingmo's pleading look and said, "I'm sorry, I really can't spare any time during this period."

Qin Jingmo became a little anxious and blurted out: "Doctor Yu, don't you have one day off every week?"

When Gu Qingning heard this, she couldn't help but asked: "May I ask Ms. Qin, have you used your rest time to treat and save people?"

Qin Jingmo looked at Gu Qingning and said, "Miss Gu, you may not know that my situation is different from Dr. Yu's."

"I perform cranial surgery, and one operation often lasts seven to eight hours, or even more than ten hours."

"I must rest well, otherwise I may not be able to support myself in the second half of the operation and cause a surgical accident."

Gu Qingning laughed sarcastically and said, "You mean, you need to have a good rest, and my family won't need to rest tomorrow?"

Qin Jingmo argued: "If I don't rest well, it will cause a surgical accident. Dr. Yu will miss one day of rest..."

"Jingmo, shut up!"

Mr. Qin suddenly interrupted Qin Jingmo and said apologetically: "Dean Li, Doctor Yu, I'm sorry."

"My daughter has been pampered since she was a child, and sometimes she takes things too seriously."

He stood up slowly and said: "It's getting late, we should say goodbye and go back."

He looked at Yu Zhiming again and said: "Shall we find a time to discuss the specific cooperation methods in detail?"

Yu Zhiming replied "Okay"...

After Mr. Qin and the other four people said goodbye, Yu Zhiming and Qing Ning stayed for an extra cup of tea before saying goodbye and leaving.

Yu Zhiming was not empty-handed, and left with a box of Qimen black tea and a box of Lu'an melon slices as return gifts...
