Chapter 113 Marauder's Map and Hogsmeade

Tom couldn't interfere with the intrigues in London. He could only wait for good news and then send the dementors over.

He returned to his busy daily study life, and the days flew by. At the end of November, Ravenclaw defeated Hufflepuff, and now they are getting closer to the Quidditch Academy Cup.

There are two semesters in the Hogwarts academic year. The first semester is from September to Christmas, and the second semester is from January to the end of June.

There are now two weeks until the end of the first term, and the school is already full of festive atmosphere. Professor Flitwick has arranged many colorful lights in the Charms classroom, which will turn into whirring fans when the students are close. The Winged Fairy. Professor Sprout and his students made a Christmas tree using various magical plants. Tom can guarantee that this Christmas tree will be the most dangerous Christmas tree in history - there are even many entangled trees on the trunk. Where's the devil's net!

Even Professor Trelawney's classroom has some Christmas elements. For example, Tom saw a crystal ball with heavy snow inside and a faint sleigh dancing inside.

The only ones who were not infected by this atmosphere were probably Snape and Professor McGonagall.

"Tom, where do you want to go for Christmas?" Hermione came to Tom excitedly like every year and asked him about his Christmas plans.

Tom understood what she meant, but Hermione still politely invited him to her home to spend Christmas with her. Tom wanted to go. Christmas is a festival of reunion, and for Tom, the Granger family is more and more special. It feels more and more like your own home. It’s time to go home for Christmas!

"It's not like I have anywhere else to go - if it doesn't bother you, I'll spend Christmas at your house again."

"It's a deal! You will always be welcome in my home."

Hogsmeade village is open again. This is also the last Hogsmeade open day before Christmas.

Harry was wrapped in his cloak and scarf, said goodbye to Ron, and then climbed the marble stairs alone, preparing to go back to Gryffindor Tower to spend this boring time.

So many students went to Hogsmeade that the whole castle was silent.

Suddenly, Harry was caught by brothers Fred and George, who took him to an empty classroom.

By the time they left, Harry already had a roll of parchment in his robes. His heart was pounding as if he had just experienced a sport, and his cheeks were flushed with excitement: he could go to Hogsmeade. Got it!

This was thanks to the scroll called the "Marauder's Map" given to him by the Weasley twins. It was a good thing. It marked many secret passages in Hogwarts. Several of them could help him get there. Hogsmeade.

He couldn't wait to put on his invisibility cloak and walked into the secret passage behind the one-eyed witch marked on the map.

Hogsmeade looks like a Christmas postcard today. There is a thin layer of snow on the roof of the hut and the signs of various shops. There are holly garlands on the doors of every house. Patrollers patrolling the outside of the village The dementors did not dampen people's enthusiasm, and everyone celebrated in this village.

When Tom and Hermione arrived at Hogsmeade, they saw a group of owls squatting on the bushes by the roadside. These little guys were very smart and knew that there were many tourists today, so they kept waiting for food by the roadside.

This was naturally a business opportunity. There was a vendor standing on the roadside with a red and white pushcart selling owl food, a kind of weird-tasting biscuit.

As soon as the student in front of them stood in front of the vendor's car, the owls gathered around them turned their heads and stared at him quietly.

Owls are very magical things. They can turn their heads in a wide circle. Sometimes their backs are turned to you, but they can turn back and stare at you. It's indescribably weird.

It’s no wonder that people in the Middle Ages associated owls with wizards and omens.

"These owls look a bit fierce..." Hermione looked at the owls sitting on the branches, feeling a little scared.

"Fortunately, although they are birds of prey, they have been tamed by wizards long ago. They just want to get a few bites of food," Tom said.

Sure enough, after the vendor handed the owl cookies to the little wizard, a large group of owls flew over and surrounded him.

I don’t know how the vendor did it. The box in his hand obviously contained dozens of times the rations, but the owls were unmoved and only stared at the little food in the little wizard’s hand.

They gathered around the little wizard, flapping their wings from time to time and looking at him eagerly.

Under the gaze of so many round eyes, the little wizard gave in and scattered the cat (eagle) food in the bag on the ground, attracting countless owls to flap their wings and eat all the biscuits on the ground.

After the remaining value of the little wizard was drained, the owls dispersed and ignored this "poor guy" again. Of course, if he buys another pack of eagle food, he will still be the owls' forever friend.

"Would you like a pack?" Hermione rubbed her hands and let out a breath of steam, a little eager to try. Although she felt like she was being taken advantage of, it seemed not bad to be surrounded by so many cute little guys.

"Hey!" Tom bought two bags of owl food and also enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by stars.

"Let me touch it?" Tom tentatively stretched out his hand towards a silver-gray owl, wanting to touch its furry chest, but was stopped by the owl's eyes.

He was very sure that if he moved forward, he would probably be scolded.

"Cheapskate." Tom complained, but he was too lazy to argue with the owl.

There were little snowflakes floating in the sky.

"Follow me." After feeding the owl, Hermione pulled Tom towards a hill on the edge of the village. Soon, they came to a dilapidated fence, and the wires on the fence were all rusty.

Behind the fence, an abandoned house stood alone on the wasteland.

"The Screaming Shack, this is the scariest haunted house in Britain," Hermione said, looking at the house, "Did I mention it to you?"

"I mentioned it several times when I came here before." Tom searched his memory and remembered that Hermione had wanted to come here a long time ago.

But Hermione obviously didn't care about this. She looked at Tom and asked softly: "Closer?"

Tom blinked and moved to Hermione's side, the two of them almost touching each other.

"I mean the Shrieking Shack." Hermione was amused by him, but she didn't drive him away, but took the initiative to hold his arm.

She looked at Tom, waiting for his answer.
