I received a notice from the editor that the book will be on the shelves at midnight tonight.
This book has been the fastest process since I wrote it. It took me one and a half months from uploading the first chapter to putting it on the shelves today.
The book Killing Cao Cao was actually conceived a few years ago.
Because the old book was not finished at that time, and I was getting married this year, and had a series of things to be busy with, so I didn’t have time to write, so I stopped temporarily.
Later, I had time to write, and because I had never written about the Three Kingdoms before, I was worried that the writing would be useless, so I conceived another story about the Three Kingdoms about the same time, and wrote it for practice.
I have written more than 300,000 words, but they have been stored on my computer and have not been published.
The original plan was to serialize this hands-on Three Kingdoms book together with my old book, so that I could have enough food and clothing.
Later I found out that this didn't work.
Because old books can no longer be recommended, my income has dropped drastically.
Because of the epidemic, the wedding was postponed for several months. When I got married, it was already summer and too much time had passed. Therefore, after getting married, I did not go out and stayed in my hometown to accompany the childbirth. My only source of income was writing books.
There are no jobs at home except farming and herding sheep.
My daughter-in-law is pregnant, so naturally I can't do this, so I just raise a few chickens at home.
There is no land for farming, so you have to spend money to feed the chickens.
It means that all expenses have to come from books.
Favors and gifts at home come with the family, and expenses are high. The daughter-in-law is pregnant, and of course she needs to keep up with her food and nutrition. She also needs to go to the hospital for check-ups... all of which require a lot of money.
That is to say, under such circumstances, the recommendation of old books stopped.
Without recommendations, no one will be able to read the book, let alone spend money to read it, and your income will begin to decline.
Less income comes not only from pressure in life, but also from family pressure, such as my mother.
She has never been very interested in me writing novels. When talking to others in the past, she would not tell them what I was doing, but would just smile sheepishly and say that I was staying at home...
As the old books continued to be recommended and my income became less, she became even more dissatisfied with me writing novels. She told me more than once that she would not let me write anymore and asked me to go out and find a job next year after I have a child.
…
It was under such circumstances that I stopped the Three Kingdoms book I was using for practice and began to write the book that I had begun to conceive of a long time ago. The old book also began to prepare for its completion.
To be honest, I was really stressed when making this decision.
Because I have seen too many people rush to the street.
Even though I made a lot of preparations, I still felt very nervous.
Because this decision smacks of all-or-nothing, at the end of the old book, once the book is sold out, the income will become even less.
Once the income is low, the pressure from all aspects will become greater.
Once something like this happens, I don't need to tell my family, and I won't be too shameless to continue writing about it.
After all, I am not young anymore and will be a father soon. With a wife and children, I don’t have much time and opportunity to do things that don’t make money.
Later, the book was released. At the beginning, the results were not very impressive. Later, after it was recommended, the situation gradually changed.
What surprised me most was that I received a notification from Sanjiang on Friday last week. At that time, I was a little confused and felt extremely surprised. After all, my collection at that time was only 8,000.
It was also after receiving the notice from Sanjiang that I began to feel a little confident about my results.
Here, I would like to express my gratitude to my editor, Mr. Mizusawa, who gave me a lot of support and guidance.
But good times don't last forever. The plot about the heroine Cai Yan came out, and the data started to stretch.
When I first conceived the idea, I didn't want to push it so quickly, I wanted to figure it out slowly.
When I wrote this later, I felt that it was too long, the heroine wrote a bit too much, and it was too protracted.
After much consideration, I decided to make a quick decision so that I could end these plots quickly and move on to the main storyline.
When I wrote it, I thought book friends would accept it, but after I published it, I realized that I was wrong.
At that time, the data was lost so much that it made people feel distressed. There were people who would not let go of me and even changed their accounts to scold me. I can’t even mention the mood I felt during those two days.
It's common to get scolded when writing a book. What makes me most uncomfortable is that when the book finally started to improve, I encountered something like this.
This is a long plot. Even if I want to overhaul it, I can't fix it. I can only do my best to make small-scale adjustments...
Fortunately, I survived.
This incident also taught me a profound lesson. In the future, I should write less about the heroine, and only appear when the key plot points appear. Try to limit the ending to less than half a chapter, and no longer write long chapters.
After all, the Three Kingdoms still have to focus on strategy and hegemony, and beauties are embellishments. For people like me who are not good at writing about beauties, it is even more important to use strengths and avoid weaknesses...
I have been thinking about this story for a long time, and now I have only written the beginning. There are still many things behind it that I have not written.
I will try my best to write it more excitingly so that your money will be worth it.
The book will be on the shelves soon, which means it will no longer be free, and many book lovers will choose to leave and turn to piracy.
This is inevitable and understandable.
After all, there are too few rich people in this world. There are too many people like me who have not much money, are dealing with a lot of things, and are under the pressure of life.
We are all ordinary people who work hard to live, and most of them don’t have much wallets around their waists...
A new book is on the shelves, so I still ask for a subscription. After all, this book is where my hope lies.
Having more than 17,000 collections on the shelves is my best achievement.
If I open a new book, I'm not even sure if it can reach 5,000 collections.
If you subscribe to this book and get more attention, then after the Chinese New Year, when your child is one month old and leaves home, you really need to say goodbye to writing books and find other jobs.
Please, book friends.
As for the update, there will be ten updates today, one chapter with more than 3,000 words, and the amount of updates will not be overwhelming.
Subsequent updates will be based on 6,000 words every day, and we will reward you with more updates, so that you can read them comfortably.
I'm going to prepare the chapters for release. See you in the new book later!
