When writing an original book, how to avoid starting high and then going low, and being good at the beginning but then bad is a very serious topic.
I often revise as I write. Sometimes when I reach the end of my writing, I will turn over and read the previous part. If there is any discrepancy between the foreshadowing description in the first part and the subsequent plot, I have to revise it.
I know that many authors have written articles that I have not even read completely, and they are proud of them.
I don't have that ability.
As an aging newcomer who is classified as one of the 1%, in order to be worthy of the readers and myself, I read every chapter over and over again and revise it word for word.
This kind of modification is still a minor matter, and sometimes it even requires major surgery.
For example, at the end of 2021, because of too much work pressure and a bad mood, I wrote the plot of the second part crookedly.
When I re-read and re-edited it, I found that this paragraph was too violent, and it was obviously a plot arrangement rather than letting the characters play their own roles. The traces of the author forcibly pushing the plot were too obvious.
In other words, writing and writing makes me happy.
In the end, I made a difficult decision and decided to scrap that plot and rewrite it before the series got there, which meant not following the original outline.
More than 70,000 words, it’s gone if you don’t say it.
After a few days of adjustments, I revised it word for word before starting from the crooked building. Then I chose the best angle and let the characters deduce it by themselves again. As expected, the plot was brought to the current line.
This is the story created by the character himself, I just recorded it.
If there is no saving buffer, once it is sent, there is no way to modify it.
Many authors write incorrectly. One reason is that there is no buffer for saving manuscripts, so there is no chance to revise. In the end, they can no longer write and just mess it up.
Finally, I set up the blog again: keep updating, not unfinished, not too censorship.
Every time I open Writer Assistant, I take the above sentence seriously.
