Chapter 3768 Lecture on the scriptures and debate the world
Up and down Lingshan Mountain, as well as overseas, almost everyone who saw it was stunned.
This rhythm is almost beyond the thinking of all normal people, and those who may be abnormal have not yet realized what is going on.
Xiang Que's words "You will go with me..." caused the Deng Deng Buddha who was enlightening to attain enlightenment to have an instant downtime. When Tathagata saw this, he couldn't help shouting "No!"
Why?
Now is the critical moment for the Burning Buddha to attain enlightenment. He is about to break the laws of heaven. When all the laws are broken, he will attain enlightenment and become the Immortal Emperor.
But Xiang Que's words directly made the Buddha's heart turbulent.
In other words, Ran Deng Buddha may have to break his guard.
Who is the Lucky Goddess?
She is the purest goddess in the entire Buddhist world. What the Buddhist world pays attention to is the absence of distracting thoughts. The practice of the goddess has always been pure and flawless.
Why is the Western Heaven called the Pure Land? The word Jing is one of the symbols of Buddhism.
The Goddess of Auspiciousness has been accompanying the Deng Deng Buddha in his practice, and the two of them are almost as good as masters, disciples, close friends, and relatives.
It can be said that the auspicious Goddess must have accounted for at least 40% of the merits behind the Buddha's ability to cultivate one hundred and eight thousand clones.
When the lamp-burning Buddha attains enlightenment and becomes the Immortal Emperor, the auspicious goddess will have immeasurable merits. At the same time, her identity and status will increase by 10%, and she will become the most respected goddess in the entire Buddhist world.
But what's going on now?
The Goddess of Auspiciousness came and stood next to Xiang Que. Her expression was a little dull, her eye circles were red, her eyes looked empty and dull, and she seemed to have lost her soul all of a sudden.
Deng Deng Buddha looked at this scene with great confusion. He had no idea what was happening.
The Goddess of Auspiciousness made a bet with Xiang Que before, and what she made was an oath, which was exactly the same as the oath made in the fairy world. If she did not abide by this agreement, the result would be to fall directly into hell and not be reincarnated.
For people in the Buddhist world, it is a very strict rule that monks do not lie. If you lie and break the contract, this sin is extremely serious.
Moreover, the higher the cultivation level and the more profound the Dharma, the greater the backlash they will receive.
If the cultivation and status of Lady Jixiang breaks this precept, basically no one will be able to recover.
Therefore, since she made a bet, she had to make it come true.
The burning Buddha frowned, his eyes met the auspicious goddess, and then slowly turned to Xiang Que.
Suddenly, Xiang Que suddenly stretched out his hand and took hold of the auspicious goddess's wrist.
The opponent's body trembled completely uncontrollably, and he tried to dodge, but was held tightly by Xiang Que.
Xiang Que said calmly to the Lantern Buddha, "That's what you see. Seeing is believing!"
The Buddha's expression was stunned and sluggish.
A flash of struggling emotion flashed across the face of the Goddess of Fortune, but Xiang Que seemed to have foreseen what she was going to think, so he turned around and said: "The oath you made cannot be broken. Don't forget where the original bet was.
, if you want to commit suicide to atone for this sin, that won't work, you just haven't done what you said...don't forget what you promised me."
At this time, the Goddess of Auspiciousness must be extremely regretful. She made a bet with Xiang Que on impulse, but if she says it out, you can't take back the promised bet, so she can only go one way.
Dark.
Even if the goddess of auspiciousness wants to die to apologize, her spirit will still fall into hell forever and she will not be able to be reincarnated.
At the same time, Deng Deng Buddha's mood fluctuated greatly, and the pace of enlightenment also stagnated at this time.
"Namo Amitabha!"
The Tathagata clasped his hands together, looked at the Deng Deng Buddha with a solemn expression and said: "You have cultivated one hundred and eight thousand avatars. After millions of years and countless tribulations, you will eventually achieve enlightenment, and you must not be entangled by external affairs. Remember,
The four elements are empty, everything will become empty..."
The lamp-burning Buddha took a deep breath, as if to get rid of the distracting thoughts in his mind.
Suddenly, Xiang Que sneered and said: "What kind of Buddha is this cultivating? The four elements are empty, everything becomes empty? Haha, this Buddha is too selfish and can't even protect the people around him. Isn't it a little too embarrassing?
Taoism emphasizes that when a person attains the Tao, chickens and dogs ascend to heaven, but Buddhism emphasizes that everything is empty except for oneself. Where is the compassion of the Buddha? Let me tell you, this Buddha is not as good as Tao!"
The Tathagata looked at Xiang Que and said calmly: "You are also a Buddha, how can you say that the Buddha is not the Tao!"
"Why does the Buddha have to be stronger than the Tao? The Tao is not necessarily inferior to the Buddha. I have never shown any favoritism towards either the Buddha or the Tao. But I feel that the world should be unified."
Tathagata said: "Buddhism and Taoism have different origins!"
Xiang Que said: "If the world is unified, we should regard the peace of the people as our responsibility and should not care about trivial things. Buddhism and Taoism are two different families, but they belong to the same world. We should work together to fight the way of heaven, regardless of each other! You say
Does Buddhism and Taoism have different origins? But as Buddhism and Taoism go forward, the heaven and earth were originally a chaotic body at the beginning. What is this if they are not from the same origin?"
Jiang Taixu bowed his head and praised: "This son's state of mind is unique in the world. If there is only one person in the world who can achieve greatness, it will definitely be him and no one else."
Even though Ao Guang and General Ao Guang were not in the same camp as Xiang Que, they were shocked by his words.
If Tathagata Buddha could not accept these words, things would be very difficult. This would definitely be a blow to Lingshan.
The Tathagata was silent for a while, and then said calmly: "Chaos first divided, the heaven and earth suddenly opened, all things came into being in the world, and all kinds of principles came into being. That existence is the principle. Since there is a Buddha and a Tao, it is divided from the same source. From then on
Everyone has their own way."
Xiang Que laughed, shook his head and said: "This is the teaching of your Theravada Buddhism. Everything must be divided. The level of cultivation is divided into high and low. The Buddha and all living beings must also be distinguished. Unlike our Mahayana, what we pay attention to is
All living beings are Buddhas, the world is unified, and all people are the same. Haha, I really don’t know what kind of Buddha you are cultivating. To put it bluntly, it’s just selfishness that is at work!”
There are many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas on Lingshan Mountain whose faces are ashen and ugly.
Tathagata's brows moved slightly. He looked at Xiang Que in a deep voice and said, "Everyone has selfish motives, and Buddha is also a human being. You are no exception. You are also a Buddha, and you are also an emperor. If you consider yourself
There is no selfish intention... Then will you give up the rank of emperor to others and give up on proving the truth and becoming an emperor? What you said is that the world will be unified and the world will be unified!"
"Mahayana Buddhism emphasizes on transferring people, so you should give up your qualifications to become an emperor and transfer people to others!"
The expressions of the Nine-Tailed Demon Emperor, Jiang Taixu and others suddenly froze. Xiang Que and Tathagata were talking about scriptures, but they did not expect that the opponent would kick a dead corner kick in the end. How could Xiang Que Kede catch it?
If Xiang Que doesn't answer, then all his previous remarks will be in vain.
But if he accepted it, he would have to give up his qualifications to become emperor.
This is being forced into a dead end by Tathagata.
The Tathagata has been a Buddha for countless years and must be a good speaker at preaching scriptures and teachings. He let Xiang Que unknowingly lead to death.
