Chapter 295 Zhuge Liang: Will Great Wei Die?

Chapter 295 Zhuge Liang: Will the Wei Dynasty perish?

Chang'an is indeed a city full of royal aura, as strong as iron.

The reason why it is so strong is that Chang'an has unique geographical advantages. Since ancient times, it has been notoriously easy to defend and difficult to attack!

Chang'an is located in the eastern core area of the Guanzhong Plain, and the Guanzhong Plain is surrounded by mountains. Due east, it is blocked by mountains and rivers from Guandong. The narrow Weihan Passage formed by the Qinling Mountains and Zhongtiao Mountains guarding it from the north to the south can only be reached by Tongguan.

Pass, and Tongguan is the most powerful pass in the world that "one man can guard the pass, and ten thousand men cannot open it"!

Separated from Bingzhou by the turbulent Yellow River in the northeast, and the rolling Loess Plateau in the due north, it is a natural barrier against the nomads in the north;

Between the south and Yizhou lie the eight hundred-mile Qinling Mountains, which is difficult to cross;

Due west and the Xiliang area of Longyou are also separated by layers of Longshan Mountains, and only the Thousand Mile Longshan Highway can pass through.

The extraordinary geographical advantages coupled with the towering city walls formed Chang'an's internal and external defense lines as solid as iron.

Since the Qin Dynasty, most of the enemies who were able to conquer Chang'an and occupy Guanzhong came from the east. This was also the mainstream method for external forces to capture Chang'an in history, and it was also the simplest and crudest.

Starting from Guandong and capturing Luoyang, they captured Tongguan and marched to Chang'an; Liu Xiu of the Eastern Han Dynasty destroyed Chimei, Liu Yu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty destroyed the Later Qin Dynasty, Anlu Mountain, and Huang Chao attacked Li Tang, all of whom followed this route.

In addition to Tongguan, another shortcut is to capture Chang'an from Hedong. Hedong has been the "land of thoroughfares" since ancient times and is known as "the granary in prosperous times and the powerful vassal in troubled times".

The army starts from Hedong, crosses Puban Ferry, and then crosses Luohe River and Weishui River to capture Chang'an.

The first person to pioneer this route was Li Yuan, Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty. He set out from Taiyuan and conquered Chang'an via Hedong to establish the Tang Dynasty. After that, the Jin Dynasty defeated the Southern Song Dynasty, and the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty both sent troops from Luoyang and Hedong to capture Guanzhong. From then on, Guanzhong was attacked on both sides.

We must be prepared for frontal attacks from the direction of Luoyang, but also beware of side attacks from the troops crossing the river east of Hedong. In the end, we will be overwhelmed and the city will be defeated.

However, this route is not feasible now. The entire land of Guandong belongs to the Wei State, and the Wei State has deployed heavy troops in Hedong and Luoyang.

Apart from these two routes, there is only one person in history who has captured Chang'an from other unpopular routes. In 206 BC, Liu Bang, the emperor of the Han Dynasty, set out from the Nanyang Basin and went diagonally northwest to capture Wuguan, and then wiped out the plains.

The main force of the Qin army captured Chang'an. In 206 AD, Liu Bang sent troops to Chang'an from Hanzhong and swept across the Three Qin Dynasties. The allusion of "building plank roads openly and attacking Chencang secretly" happened in this war.

Except for Liu Bang, there was no other successful case of conquering Guanzhong and Chang'an from other directions. Zhuge Liang's previous Northern Expeditions had been unsuccessful because Chang'an was so dangerous that it was difficult for anyone to attack.

Of course, no matter how dangerous a capital city is, it will sometimes be breached, and Chang'an is no exception!

Soon, two hours passed and it was getting late. The generals outside the camp dispersed one after another, but Zhao Yun was still waiting outside.

Ma Su walked out of the camp and breathed a sigh of relief.

"You Chang, what do you think? Do you have a quick plan to break the city?"

Ma Su nodded.

He simulated it thirty-seven times, and combined it with the historical battles he knew, and finally found two normal methods to conquer Chang'an, or to destroy the Wei State.

The first method is to consume. As long as Sima Yi's 100,000 troops are killed here, Wei's troops and horses used to resist the Wuhu and Gongsun Yuan in the north are only 70,000. This number of troops cannot stop the five troops no matter what.

Hu Jia Gongsun Yuan's 400,000 soldiers and horses.

As long as the Shu army continues to be in a stalemate with Sima Yi in Chang'an, Wei will surely fall sooner or later!

The second method is to sneak attack.

Because all the Wei army was sent to the surrounding areas to resist the many powerful enemies, Luoyang was currently defended by only 30,000 Chinese troops - this was exactly the same situation in the original time and space when Deng Ai's 20,000 troops attacked Chengdu. At that time, Jiang Wei's army was tens of thousands.

Being pinned down in Jiange, there were only 30,000 Chinese troops in Chengdu. Originally, the Shu Han would not have destroyed the country. However, in the Battle of Mianzhu, Zhuge Zhan made a command error and all 20,000 Shu troops were annihilated, and the Shu Han also perished.

It can be said that the reason why the Wei State was able to destroy Shu was due to the three-pronged strategy. One way was to trip up Jiang Wei, the other way was to harass and cut off Jiang Wei's return, and the other way was to carry out a sneak attack. Under this kind of offensive, Jiang Wei would have no chance unless he had

Otherwise, it will be difficult to withstand Wei's offensive.

Since the Northern Expedition of the Shu Han Dynasty, Ma Di has been using the essence of Wei's battle to destroy Shu - that is, using Zhuge Liang to contain Sima Yi, he led the army to attack places that Sima Yi could not take care of.

Now, Ma Su plans to use this strategy again.

Sneak attack on Luoyang!

Capture Cao Rui alive!

Destroy Cao Wei in one battle!

He had already planned the route. By drifting down the Wei River, he could fly over the seven hundred miles between Chang'an and Luoyang in one day, reach the north gate of Luoyang City, storm into the palace with lightning speed, and capture Cao Rui alive.

This plan is too bold.

He was so bold that when he thought about the final result, his blood boiled and he couldn't help himself.

He tried his best to suppress his excited voice and said calmly to Zhao Yun: "Old general, send someone to invite the prime minister immediately!"

Zhao Yun didn't ask anything. He raised his hand and called his second son, Zhao Guang, who was not far away, and gave him a few instructions.

Zhao Guang nodded, turned around and strode away.

Three days later.

A group of soldiers pushed a four-wheeled cart and drove it creakingly to the foot of Chang'an City.

Zhuge Liang is here.

Ma Su hurried up to meet Zhuge Liang, held Zhuge Liang's hands, and couldn't hide his excitement: "Prime Minister, Cao Wei will perish, Cao Wei will perish!"

What?

Will Cao Wei die?

Zhuge Liang's expression changed drastically, he stood up from the wheelchair, looked around, quickly calmed down, waved his goose feather fan, and said calmly: "Let's go to the tent to discuss."

Ma Su pushed the four-wheeled cart to the handsome tent that had been prepared for Zhuge Liang and informed him of his plan to attack Luoyang.

After Zhuge Liang heard this, his face looked surprised and uncertain.

Risky, this plan is too risky!

It's simply a dead end.

If someone proposed this sneak attack plan to him, he would definitely spray that guy until he died on the spot.

But the person who proposed this plan was Ma Su. There is no need to elaborate too much on how capable Ma Su is. Zhuge Liang knew it clearly.

The Shu Han was able to conquer Xiliang, Longyou, and march to Chang'an, mostly due to Ma Su's contribution.

The sharpness with which Ma Su led his troops in fighting was truly unparalleled in this era. Even he, the prime minister, sometimes secretly admired Ma Su's strategies.

For example, this method of "dividing troops to attack" maximizes the advantage of having one more top commander in the Shu Han Dynasty than that of the Wei State, effectively avoiding the consumption of national power with the opponent, and perfectly interprets the core of "soldiers, avoid reality and use virtual reality"

summary.

Zhuge Liang looked at Ma Di with a solemn expression: "Youchang, how many troops are you bringing with you?"

"Twenty thousand! Elite soldiers!"

"How sure are you?"

"Nine points!"

Zhuge Liang nodded: "Nine points are certain, that's a lot. You can choose your soldiers immediately. If you need anything, just call them from the army. I will keep Sima Yi firmly in Chang'an City and help him succeed."

Ma Su cupped his hands and turned to leave.

Zhuge Liang suddenly thought of an allusion about Ma Di, and quickly called him back as he was about to leave the tent, and asked seriously:

"Youchang, the perfect score is ten, right?"

"..." Ma Su also remembered the allusion to the joke with the four generals, shook his head and laughed, and replied firmly: "It's ten points!"
