After driving away from the company, I didn't go back to my apartment immediately. It was still early and I wanted to take a good look around the city before I left the city.
I have been busy at work these past few months, and I am disturbed by the messy things in the company every day. I really haven't really relaxed and experienced the city.
Chengdu has a nickname called "Tianfu". The reason why it is called Tianfu is because it is really suitable for living here.
There is a saying: If you are young, you will not enter Sichuan, and if you are old, you will not leave Sichuan.
Not only is the pace of life here slow and leisurely, but the cultural atmosphere is also one of the best in the country.
There are the famous Jinli, Wuhou Temple, Kuanzhai Alley, and Du Fu Thatched Cottage. These are all very famous attractions, but I have never been to any of them.
Now that I have some free time, I would like to take a walk and take a look, even if I am alone.
I first went to Du Fu Thatched Cottage, located on the bank of Huanhua Stream. This is a garden full of poetic and picturesque scenery with bamboo forests.
When Du Fu was in his middle age, the "Anshi Rebellion" that shocked China and the world occurred in the Tang Dynasty where he lived. In that dark era, Du Fu brought his whole family to Chengdu and built this thatched cottage.
Du Fu also wrote a poem about this hut, called Song of Thatched House Broken by the Autumn Wind.
The poem reads: "The high autumn wind howls in August and rolls up the triple thatch on my house."
During the "An-Shi Rebellion", it was difficult to find a place to live, but it was so simple that the strong wind blew away the roof, and there was not even a dry place in the house on rainy days.
It wasn't until I visited this thatched cottage that I truly understood the "tragic" fate described in Du Fu's poem.
Compared with this, what does everything we are experiencing now count?
After coming out of Du Fu Thatched Cottage, I went to Jinli, which is probably a must-visit place for every tourist from out of town.
Jinli is also one of the oldest and most commercial streets in the history of Western Shu. It attracts people from all over the world.
Even if it is not a holiday, Jinli is still crowded with people and there is almost no free space.
Someone once said that people will not fall down here because there is no place.
Although it is a joke, it also illustrates the liveliness of Jinli.
I don't really like the excitement, but at this moment I blended myself into the crowd. The various products on both sides of the street were so dazzling.
Loud shouts could be heard constantly, making people look left and right involuntarily.
But because it is close to Wuhou Temple, Jinli focuses on the culture of the Three Kingdoms.
It has a collection of classic traditional Chengdu snacks such as rabbit head, Bobo chicken, steamed beef with rice flour, etc. Once you come here, you won’t want to leave for a long time.
When you are tired from walking, just find a place where you can pick your ears, lie down, make a cup of tea, and enjoy this rare leisure time.
As the saying goes: If you don’t enjoy this ecstasy when you come to Chengdu, your trip is in vain.
That tingling feeling, the indescribable inner beauty.
A bamboo chair, a cup of fragrant tea, and the leisure time of an afternoon passes slowly like this. This is the real slow life.
Right next to where I was picking my ears, there was a street singer playing and singing with a guitar. To be honest, you can't buy this kind of comfortable enjoyment with any money.
At this time, the wandering singer was singing about the love of his life, which came from a classic movie.
He has adapted it, and although it sounds a bit bland and gentle, it also feels inexplicably sad and forbearing.
Especially when singing the line "It's hard to escape fate in this world, but I dare not get close to people who are similar, or I should believe it is fate", there is an obvious sense of tearing.
Just when I thought he was going to explode, he suddenly calmed down again, as if the emotion just now had never existed.
Listening to this song, it inexplicably reminds me of my own bad fate, but I can't fight against it.
Just like what is sung in this song: In this world, it is difficult to escape fate.
I'm just an ordinary person. I don't have the ability to change my destiny like those in novels. Faced with fate, I can only accept it.
I also wanted to escape my fate, but fate turned into a bigger trap, hiding under my feet.
At this time, my cell phone ringing suddenly interrupted my thoughts.
The call was from Zhou Mo. I actually didn't want to answer it because I didn't want anyone to disturb me at this time, but I hesitated for a while and finally got through.
"Hey, where are you?"
"What's wrong? Is something wrong?"
"Nothing, just asking where you are?"
"I'm here," I hesitated for a moment, then said to her, "I'm picking out my ears here in Kuanzhai Alley."
"Huh?" Zhou Mo said in surprise.
"What's wrong?"
"It's okay. As long as you're okay, that's fine. Just relax."
I responded and ended Zhou Mo's call, then closed my eyes and continued to enjoy.
In fact, I am not really enjoying it, but I hope to calm myself down in this way.
The wandering singer began to sing a second song, which was still a relatively sad song.
I've endured the love of my life, but here it comes again, and I really can't bear it anymore.
I said to the master who was picking my ears, "Sorry, wait for me." Then I walked up to the wandering singer and put a hundred yuan into the guitar case in front of him.
I said to him: "Brother, please sing a happier song."
He looked at me, stunned for a moment, then smiled and nodded to me.
Under the influence of money, he finally changed to a slightly happier song.
This song is really happy and relatively old. It is the love of the Little Tigers.
I just felt that the difference between before and after was too big. I asked him to sing a happier song, but I didn't expect that it would be too happy.
"Call loudly to the sky, say I love you, say I miss you to the wandering white clouds, let the sky hear it, let the white clouds see it, no one can erase the promise we made."
The master who picked out my ears actually started humming along with the cheerful tune.
As a result, two different sounds appeared in my hearing. One came from the somewhat tone-deaf voice of the master who picked out my ears, and the other came from the emotional singing of the street singer next to me.
This is so joyful!
After the master finished cleaning my ears, I found a place to sit down in the open-air teahouse next to me and asked the waiter to refill my tea.
The wandering singer continued to sing the next song. He was not afraid of getting tired. He started the next song without taking a break after singing.
The afternoon sun shone warmly on my body, making me feel like sleeping.
Unconsciously, I just leaned on the bamboo chair, closed my eyes and dozed off.
At this moment, I really relaxed myself, without thinking about anything, I just relaxed myself wholeheartedly.
Until the wandering singer's voice changed into a woman's voice, and the singer was still Zhao Lei's A Diao.
After I heard the singing, I opened my eyes almost instantly and looked at the person singing.
I was stunned. I never expected that the person standing next to the wandering singer at this moment was An Lan!
I said, why is this voice so familiar? I thought I was hallucinating.
