Chapter 341: Guess what I'm doing

I can't believe that we drove for more than eight hours on a road of more than 300 kilometers.

By the time we arrived at Shangri-La, it was already 7:30 in the evening.

Fortunately, I had already booked a hotel online in advance, and we stayed directly after arriving at Shangri-La.

Originally, when we set off in the morning, we had discussed that we must try the yak meat in Shangri-La.

But after experiencing the twists and turns of this day, all of us were exhausted and fell asleep one after another when we arrived at the hotel.

Everyone has taken a break, but I still have to sit in front of the computer and work.

Fortunately, good news came from Tian Lang. The new product has been successfully developed and has officially entered the testing stage.

I asked him to keep an eye on the testing phase, feedback any problems to me in a timely manner, and try his best to launch the new product before Double 12.

After finishing the work, I summarized the day's itinerary. Although entering the high-altitude area made the team members a little overwhelmed, everything was not smooth and no accidents occurred.

I also plan to tell An Lan about this day’s itinerary and wish her well.

After washing, I sat on the balcony of the inn, smoking and watching the stars.

Because of the high altitude, people feel as if they are very close to the sky, as if they can grab the stars in the sky with just one hand...

I quite like it here, it has a quiet atmosphere, but it's too cold!

I rubbed my hands, then took out my phone and called An Lan.

She answered the call after a moment, and I smiled and said to her, "Guess where we are?"

“Shangri-La.”

Only then did I realize that I was doing something unnecessary. She must have been paying attention to our itinerary all the time, and she would have known about it even without asking me.

I giggled twice and asked her again: "Then guess what I am doing now, you will never guess it."

"Then what if I guessed it?"

I raised my head and glanced at the stars in the sky, which seemed to be within reach of reaching out, and said with a smile, "I will pick a star and give it to you."

"I guess you're smoking."

I looked down and saw that I actually had an almost finished cigarette butt in my hand.

After being stunned for a while, I smiled again and said, "How do you know I'm smoking?"

"If you call me, it means you are at your most free time. How come you don't have enough cigarettes when you are free?"

"You really understand me..."

"Then do you know me? Guess what I am doing, and you will win a prize if you guess it right."

"Tell me what the reward is first? It gives me motivation to guess."

"If you guessed correctly, I will go out with your mother to relax for a day tomorrow."

"You... what kind of reward is this?"

"It's a reward! Don't you want your mother to go out to the park, the zoo, etc.? I can give up time to spend time with her."

"Okay!" I said after pondering for a while, "I guess you have just finished taking a shower and are applying a facial mask."

"Wrong." An Lan responded and suddenly started coughing.

I quickly asked her again: "Are you sick?"

"A bit feverish."

"Did you go to the hospital?"

"An IV drip is being administered."

"Are you alone?"

"Um."

I feel distressed and uncomfortable.

It took him a while before he said to her: "If we are together now, I will definitely stay with you..."

"I'm fine, don't worry, I'll be fine tomorrow."

"Don't be stubborn. The temperature has dropped very sharply recently. Don't be busy with work all the time. You should pay more attention to your health."

"I know it will be fine tomorrow."

"Okay! Then you'd better not accompany my mother tomorrow and take good care of yourself."

"It's okay. I didn't even think about it. You asked me suddenly. It's just a little cold."

I smiled bitterly and said: "You have always been so stubborn. I know you quite well. Don't you need me to care about you? Now that I care about you, why don't you accept it?"

"Okay, I accept it, I feel very happy."

"real?"

"Really, do you want me to take out my heart and show it to you?"

"That's not the case. When I say you are happy, I am happier than you."

"Well, you should rest early! I heard that you had a difficult journey today. Thank you for your hard work."

"I'm fine. I've experienced it before. Others need to take it easy for the first time. They'll be better tomorrow."

"You are the captain of the motorcade. You have to take care of everyone's emotions. Whether you can reach your destination smoothly or not is really up to you."

I sighed softly and said, "Don't say that! The more you talk about it, the more pressure I get."

"Okay, just know it in your own mind. Go to bed early. I'll wait for you to come back."

"Well, you should also go to bed early."

I hung up the phone, feeling warm in my heart.

Judging from the current relationship between An Lan and I, it seems that the ice between us has been broken and we are developing in a good direction.

I also had a good sleep this night, without any dreams and slept soundly.

Early the next morning, after a night's rest, everyone in the team seemed to be more energetic and had almost accepted the high-altitude environment.

After having breakfast together at nine o'clock in the morning, we continued to set off, but we encountered a huge traffic jam just after we left the city.

There are not many cars on this road, and traffic jams rarely occur unless there is a traffic accident ahead.

I was stuck in traffic jam for about two hours and there was no way to get any relief, so I had to get out of the car and ask the road staff in front of me.

Only then did we learn that a landslide had occurred 30 kilometers ahead and the road was no longer passable. We were advised to take another route.

As far as I know, if you choose a new route at this time, you will have to return to Shangri-La and take the Sichuan-Tibet Line.

But that would delay a lot of time, and the originally planned route would be completely unusable.

This is really a plan that cannot keep up with the changes. Who knew that something like this would happen?

So I had to ask how long it would take to open to traffic?

The road administration officer told me that the landslide was serious this time and the highway had been interrupted. It would take at least a week to reopen to traffic.

After hearing this, I was completely stunned. This meant that we had to re-plan the route.

Then the road manager asked me again: "Which direction are you going? If you are going to Tibet, then I suggest you choose the Sichuan-Tibet line or Bingchacha."

Of course I know about the Bingchacha Line. I chose the New Yunnan-Tibet Line just to avoid this line on purpose.

There is only one reason, and that is that Bingchacha is known as the most difficult line to enter Tibet. The route is shorter than the Yunnan-Tibet Line, but the road conditions are not even the slightest bit worse.

After hesitating for a moment, I asked the road manager: "Can Bingchacha leave this season?"

"It is possible, but this line is not very reliable. It depends on whether you dare to leave."

Unexpectedly, when Sun Xiaoxiao heard what the road administration staff said, he immediately said: "You look down on us, don't you? Let's just take this line."

This time, Sun Xiaoxiao and I had the same idea.

Because taking the Bingchacha route is faster than the Sichuan-Tibet line, and you don’t have to go back, you can save at least three or four days.

So, we had to return to Shangri-La via the same route.

After having lunch at Shangri-La, we started walking along the Bingchacha Line, which is known as the devil's route into Tibet.

As for what will happen on this road, we don’t know...?
